I have had trouble with a cheap Multivitamin giving me an upset stomach/nausea...

Has anyone else had this problem? I have been taking vitamins since I was a little kid (about 30 years ago)...never had a prob on full OR empty stomach.

It could be another supp, but im 90 percent sure it was caused by this cheap grocery store mv.

Which one has a good coating and can be taken anytime ?

Thanks,
Dan

I use super spectrum multi vitamins. Awesome product. True 12 hour time release. Chelated minerals and cold pressed for better absorption. A great multi.

If in fact it does what it claims , even a little bit..... it blows every pill out there period, and then some. Mainly because it's not a supplement, it's food.

http://www.healthy-living.org/html/essential_seven.html

I'm giving one cannister a go, got it as a Xmas present.

I'll say my mood is improved since I've been taking it. Maybe it's because they say there's many other B-vitamins that can't be made into pills and you only get them in foods.

I'm not a rep of this site, just found it by total accident typing in the word ORAC at search.com.

For those who don't know, its basic meaning is the antioxidant effectiveness in our body per serving.

ACAI juice has been clouted recently as being GREAT and the bottle I have taken recently (ACAISPLASH) contains 3,800 ORACs per 1 OZ......so, after looking around I find that Essential 7 has 21, 000 and change per serving. YIKES..... That was the highest ORAC rating I've ever seen, so I had to try this stuff.

Well, that's my multi but I also take other things like

grape seed extract
Oregano Oil
Astaxanthin
DHEA - 25mg recently
Alacier Supergram III Vitamin C
Flax Oil - Barleans high lignan
Fish Oil - might move to Krill Oil after these are gone. Supposedly better than standard fish oils.
NOW L-Carnosine
Dymatize Xpand
White Blood
Cell MASS
ON Natural 100% WHEY
Lambrada V60 5 in 1 protein

I choose VIBE from eniva. It is an all natural all in one liquid vitamin. It has the highest absorption rate of all liquids on the market. It has nutrients, vitamins and minerals for a healthy heart, healthy colon, anti-aging and and immune boost. I have never found a better product. Because it is all natural it doesn't interfere with meds. It is broken down so small that is works at the cellular level in your body. It is the best.
Good lord what a lot of codswallop.

'natural' - just like potassium cyanide is natural?
'works at the cellular level' - what do you ingest what works other than the cellular level?

i use multi off and on, i think most people are saying which multi they use but that doesnt mean which one works better for anything and i feel the same way, but i would love to try an organic dried fruit/vegetable vit/min. health packs, i hear they are the way to go(by those hippies on tv ;) ) the only reason i havnt tried one is im too lazy to look for them and im sure they are expensive. I also think the Life extension vitamins are probably a really good idea as well.

I take Vitamin Shoppe's liquid multi in the mornings. I think liquid multi's are the only multi's you know are getting obsorbed for sure.

http://www.******************/store/en/browse/sku_detail.jsp?id=VS-1912

Then I take a AST multi pro at night, simple because if I take liquid multi's twice a day I'll need to get a second job.

I didn't go through all 46 pages of this thread, but so far I haven't seen anyone mention Nutrilite. This is without doubt the best multi on the planet. They invented multivitamins in the 1920's, and are still the largest producer in the world. All ingredients are natural plant-based--the company owns and operates organic farms in CA and Mexico. They use pharmeceutical-grade quality control, and have a high level of absorption. They also have massive amounts of phtyonutrients as well as minerals.

Vitastrip was rated by the FDA a while ago the best foodlet aka now called vitamins/minerals for absorption. Nutrilite is ok but for the price your getting its not worth it. And they did not create vitamins btw. Dr. Funk and Dr. Shaklee did back in 1915. Plus there is no guarentee that the product does what is on the label. I know becuase I did blood work on it and showed negative results from there Nutrilite. I took it for 6 months and showed zero results. I like the vitastrip and blood work so far shows positive results so I will stick to it. Plus it is Kosher certified and me being Jewish it works out.

I take NOW Adam. It's good if you want a basic multi like centrum, but actually have quality forms of the minerals so they actually absorb. It also increases many of the ingredients over the "just enough to keep me alive" RDA levels of certain minerals that we need more of. It's relatively cheap too.

I don't think Animal Pak is worth the money. I pissed rich orange/yellow all day when I took it, and I drink a lot of fluids. I don't think that's good for you. It also needlessly loads up on ginseng...I guess they just want to keep their customers hooked.

For my favorite multi, it would have to be Optimum Nutritions Opti-men and Opti-women. They have everthing in them and I think that they work GREAT!! Just an all around good multi!

Optimum Nutrition Opti-Men & Opti-Woman are some very nice vitamins for the price!

I have taken B.S. drugstore brands, mega men, natrol my favorite, some nature's brand stuff..but these are hands down solid multi-vits that you can feel, good price, and passed my personal "do they dissolve test"

Pick them up and you will agree with me and save a few bucks over higher end products.

The best vitamin has got to be:

NUTRILITE's Double X.. It has vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients. Great in all aspects; I feel fully rejeuvenated each time I try this. It's pricey, but if you eBay for it, it's like a month's supply for around 40 bucks.

Then, it's animal pak, which is slightly cheaper.

Thats false. Well I don't know know what no403 drinks per day, but when I would take Mega Man and this other multi with thousands of percent RDAs of B vitamins, my piss would be bright yellow to orange and I was drinking 2 gallons of water per day. Now I'm taking a multi with only 100% b vitamins and my piss is as clear as the Caribbean!

Thats correct, B vitamins are water-soluble, so the body stores some in the body and excretes the excess. Thats why its important to keep taking them constantly through the day.

just my 2 cents but I happen to like kirkland sports performance supplemented with an extra dose of higher power one-a-day just cause it makes me feel a little better with some of the "main" vitamines like A, B6,12,E, etc. I mean, for the price it's hard to beat and I think it's fairly comparable to stuff like animal pak. I like to take my multivitamins in four split dosages (two servings per day on heavy lifting days and one serving on non-lifting days)

I'm always energetic and my strength has been going up. I know it's from Double-X too because it is all that I'm taking right now. I've used various stacks such as BSN, Gaspari, MRI, and although they are all good in their own right they never gave me this constant surge of all day energy. Plus you never lose what you gain from a multi because you never have to go off, which is something I can't say for all of the other supplements I have used. It is tough to find, but it's worth it:

Actually,

Based on the URL you have given rminor1.qhealthzone.com, you are trying to make a profit by advertising their product with your referal name in the URL. The vitamins are almost $80 for 31 days supply. You are totally busted for pulling a fast one there.

100% RDA is not enough vitamin and minerals especially if you live a life...burning calories and everyday activity uses up vitamins and minerals more is needed for optimun results....100% RDA of protein is 50g....i don't know anyone who only eats 50g.....just because it is more than 100% doesn't mean it is a bad thing...once again animal pak here....haven't quite got the one shot down yet...it take me 2...

Honestly, I dont get the whole Animal Pak rules thing, its not a 'great' vitamin, its not dosed incredibly high, the only thing it has going for it is a high ginseng content, and people think since its in multiple pills that its a magic muscle builder...its just a fairly normal vitamin.

Hi,

I'm a Nutrilite user and also sell it as well. It's a whole food supplement.

Currently DoubleX retails for about $72 and wholes for about $52.

The advantage of DoubleX is the pyto-nutrients it provides. It is a whole food supplement, not a "run of the mill" synthetic like I've been reading about.

There is alot of scientific and clinical research on the advantages of phto-nutrients.

It depends how important it is to YOU on having an optimum supplement that provides 2000 mg/day.

It's important to me and to my customers.

My customers are very health concious and are looking for a product that is as natural and organic as you can get.

DoubleX is that product for them.

Would love more comments.

Marc

Yea man I totally agree. I eat all organic foods and the company that makes that vitamin is pretty awsome. Does anyone know if it is possible to replace all supplements with organic supplements? The only organic protiens I can find are all soy.

Yea I second that costco thing I have been taking their daily multivitamin packs for a while now and they have always worked great for me. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,255920,00.html

Yes! I have a comment ... it's a bunch of bull!

Lame media propaganda.

Here's my response to that load (reprinted from Are Vitamins Killing Us? (http://goldensummitinc.com/nucleus/index.php?itemid=115))

The Internet has recently been buzzing with news about the potential dangers of multivitamins. There is a study reported in the February 28, 2007 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) that claims to have found a link between vitamin intake and increased mortality (risk of dying). Is this report cause for alarm? Should we run from our vitamins while we still can?

The study came to a shocking conclusion: Treatment with beta carotene, vitamin A, and vitamin E may increase mortality. The potential roles of vitamin C and selenium on mortality need further study.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?db=pubmed&cmd=Retrieve&dopt=AbstractPlus&list_uids=17327526&query_hl=1&itool=pubmed_docsum

The media, who always has our best interest at heart (said sarcastically, of course) made sure they informed consumers about this breaking information as quickly as possible. I received a flood of emails to my inbox asking me my thoughts and opinions on the matter. Fortunately, we don't have to rely on my opinions ... in fact, I can respond with some interesting facts.

First, in case you don't want to take my word for it, here are a two interesting links that were posted by prominent and reputable organizations in response to the study:

Study Citing Antioxidant Vitamin Risks Based on Flawed Methodology
http://oregonstate.edu/dept/ncs/newsarch/2007/Feb07/vitaminstudy.html

Meta-analysis on Antioxidants Provides Muddled Conclusions
http://www.crnusa.org/PR07_JAMA_antioxidant_metaanalysis_022707.html

So what's the bottom line? Take into consideration the following:
* The study is not a new clinical trial, but a statistical analysis determined from many studies (called a meta- analysis)
* For this meta-analysis, the authors combined studies that differed vastly in design, use rates, duration, and study population
* Interestingly, any of a large body of hundreds of studies demonstrating potential health benefits from vitamin supplementation were excluded from the analysis (imagine if 800 people died from eating poision, and 200 lived ... so you "threw out" the 800 deaths and reported "based on these 200 cases, the poison does not appear to cause death")
* While the initial analysis examined 1201 research papers from 815 trials, only 68 trials were actually used in the final analysis (hmmm, maybe tossing out what doesn't fit the agenda?)
* When the initial results from this data did not show any effect on death rates, the authors removed an additional 21 studies (called a sub analysis) to draw their conclusion that supplements increase risk of mortality (ouch!)
Interestingly, in these 47 remaining studies, the doses used greatly exceeded normal use rates, and in many cases, were well above tolerable upper intake limits (UL) (i.e. they used doses that may not be safe). In contrast, the studies eliminated from this study generally used doses that did not exceed the UL and were more in line with actual use rates.

In a nutshell, apparently there was an agenda at stake because any studies that showed a benefit were tossed. Any studies that would make sense for you and me to follow because they involved doses similar to what we may receive from our own multivitamins were also tossed out. Only those fringe studies with negative effects were included. Again, to make an analogy, imagine if you were reporting on the health benefits of broccoli, and found that if someone were force-fed 20 pounds of broccoli per day and not allowed to eat anything else, they would die. Then, based on this, you concluded that broccoli is dangerous to eat. Does that make any sense?

No, it doesn't. I would be the first person to toss out my vitamins if I ever found out they were causing more harm than good. I take them every day. So does my wife. So does my daughter. I love my family, and the reason I focus on health is to enjoy as much time with them as God will allow (I know there are many ways I can go not related to health, but doesn't it make sense to take care of the part we are in control of?) So whenever something like this is published, I am the first to look into it ... and once again, I find that it is not someone looking out for my best interest, but in fact another scare-tactic used by someone with an obvious agenda.

So best wishes for good health and don't forget to take your multivitamin!

Jeremy

it's because they have a mulit-million dollar and multi-level scam in the form of quixtar backing it up. The double x smells like ammonia and black pepper mixed together...and I didn't notice anything different from a month on those than a month on GNC Mega Mens Active

Although not a bodybuilding supplement per se, I find that this product is by far the most palatable and complete multivitamin on the market for general health use. I have tried at least 4 other liquid vitamin products and they all taste bad. Not only is LVP tasty but it contains stuff not normally seen in other vitamin products (i.e glucosamine sulfate). A BIG plus is that it is liquid, by far the most effective transport medium for vitamins.

has anyone ever looked into naturally derived vitamins? i have been taking this stress pack from gnld. after a week on them i feel they are superior to ast mulitpro 32x and animal pak. apparently it is easier for the body to absorb them.

it's because they have a mulit-million dollar and multi-level scam in the form of quixtar backing it up. The double x smells like ammonia and black pepper mixed together...and I didn't notice anything different from a month on those than a month on GNC Mega Mens Active

You know who quixtar really is?

AMWAY! RUN FOR IT!

Has anyone ever heard of Juice Plus? It's all organic and has the minerals and vitamins you need in them derived by simply dehydrating several fruits and veggies. Helps your health so much. Check it out

Yes, you can take Animal Pak on non-workout days. Animal Pak is the best hands down. Just visit thier site (animalpak.com). I also suggest uploading the AOM (Animal Owners Manual) it's a good informative read.

I'm going to be bold here and state that I have the absolute best product.

Read through this and decide for yourself. The more you learn, the better off you will be.

I take vitamins and minerals from a company called Youngevity. It is the official company of Dr Joel Wallach.

Best to read his initial lecture here: http://www.kingmaker.net/DeadDoctorstxt.html

If you read this and decide you want to know more, PM me and I can give you all the info you want, as well as how to order.
Yes, Youngevity is set up as a Network Marketing company, but don't let that scare you. It is not like Amway. 80% of the people who buy from them do not do the business and they don't have to. They just buy product.

These minerals are highly absorbable by the body. Most supps that you buy in the store do not get absorbed by the body.
These are liquid plant derived minerals.

I used to overtrain, and I used to have joint pains. I now train hard one hour a day, 6 days a week and I hardly even get sore. I have tons of energy and no joint pain at all.

Results I have personally seen in myself and others:
I have 2 people who had high blood pressure and after taking this, no longer need their medication. Their blood pressure went back to normal and stayed there.
I've had my achy joints get completely better.
I've seen broken arms heal in 1/3 the time it should have...doctors were amazed. This works every time I try it.
I've seen people have increased sustained energy.
I've seen grey hair return to normal color
I've seen Hemoroids get completely better.
I've seen arthritis go away completely.

NBA All star Theo Ratliff uses this and credits Youngevity with saving his career, after he was told that he would have to retire.
http://www.nba.com/blazers/features/...133367-41.html (in this article, the company is referred to as American Longevity. The name was changed last year to Youngevity)
When Evander Hollyfield was diagnosed with his heart condition, he used this and within 6 months, his condition was gone.
Natural Bodybuilding Champion Gene Nelson uses this.

Best thing to do is read the first link. Give it a read, even if you think I am off my rocker.
If you want to know more, PM me.

So far I've tried only 3 different products, but Animal Pak for sure, just finished 1 can...I can feel the difference but 11 freaking pills some are almost the size of my pinky. To be honest, it works but hard to swallow 11 pills if you ask me. Taking these pills, it IS the worst part of the day for me, call me a pussy if you want lol. I rather take any other multi-vitamin if it is just 1 small pill. IF Animal Pak came in 1 tiny pill then 10/10

Animal Pak 9/10

-1 because of 11 big freaking pills and hard to swallow lol still have 44 pak of animal pak left to finish.. I am going to try other products after I am done with them because 11 pill's too much for me lmao. Tried cutting them into smaller pieces, crushing them into powder, but tastes like sh*t. Sorry, but I am a pansy lol If you don't mind the taste/swallowing Animal Pak 10 thumbs up

USANA Essentials...hands down the highest quality science based multivitamin on the market today. The Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements has rated it #1 in North America, in their study of over 1500 products, for 4 years in a row. USANA is superior to anything else out there for a number of reasons:

1) It is listed in the Physicians Desk Reference (PDR) which is very rare for a nutrional product (this is a doctor's bible for use in deciding what drugs to prescribe to their patients)
2) USANA voluntarily mees the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for Pharmaceuticals. There is not even ONE of the other multivitamins anybody has mentioned in this thread, dating back to 2002, that meet these requirements.
3) #1 in North America out of 1500 other supps, in the Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements (study conducted by a panel of 14 doctors, nutrtionists, and PHD's)
4) They are a big sponsor of Olympic athletes (U.S. and Canadian) and offer an athlete's guarantee that what they say is in there products, is EXACTLY what is in their products, and will not fail any drug tests.
5) I use them (and sell them) and have not been sick, even a scratch in my throat, since I started using them 6 months ago. That's my own personal testimonial (obviously) but it holds a lot of water IMO...I'm a guy who used to get sick at least once a month.

You are getting nutritional you can truly trust when you use USANA supplements.

LOL

adamjacoby
05-17-2007, 01:13 PM
Opti-Men is not bad. It is actually much better than what most people take. But if you compare to USANA Essentials, you'll see that Opti-Men gives you almost exactly one half of each ingredient of the Essentials. Then you have to look at how bioavailable it is, and then how it is manufactured. Can you trust what is really in the product?

I think you are smarter than most by taking Opti-Men, but as for what is truly the best, where you are giving your body everything it needs, and where money is not an issue, I don't think you can beat USANA Essentials.

I take Centrum Performance. Is this not a good multi-vitamin?

adamjacoby
05-18-2007, 12:30 PM
No, all of Centrum's products are pretty low quality. Anything you buy in a grocery store or pharmacy is crap. It is commercially produced and bound by a synthetic coating that makes it very difficult to digest. You will just piss it out. That is a MAJOR problem that a lot of people do not understand.

If you really want to know the differences btwn good and bad multi-vitamins, order yourself a copy of the Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements by Lyce MacDonald, PHD.

This study analyzes over 1500 products in North America, and uses a panel of 14 doctors and nutritionists to rate them on a 1-100 scale, with 100 being the best. Centrum's products are all rated below 15. GNC's products are all rated below 30. USANA Essentials were the highest rated at 96.1, and that's why I use them....and sell them. The evidence is pretty over-whelming...they are the best nutritional supplement out there.

Mikotorocks,

There is nothing fishy here. I started USING Usana Essentials after I read the Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements and saw how highly regarded they are in the medical community. I started SELLING USANA products after I saw that Forbes Magazine had rated the company #12 on their top 100 Growth Companies, Business Week rated them #3 on theirs, and then Direct Selling Magazine rated them the #1 over-all multi-level marketing company in America. That was pretty impressive to me. So I already knew their products were fantastic, but once I heard that starting your own USANA business was so successful, I decided to go for it.

It is one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I encourage you to do your own research to see for yourself, but if you want to check out USANA's Essentials, purchase them, or want more information on an USANA business, check out my website:

www.optimalhealthandnutrition.usana.com

Wow, he really is trying to sell this Usana stuff. I've never bought Usana just because its cost so much, maybe when I have a 100 dollars that I feel like throwing down on some multivitamins, maybe I'll consider Usana. For me my favourite multi is Animal pak, hands down. Its the only multi that I feel differently (in a good way) while using it. Unfortunately we can't get it up in Canada any longer f-cking Health Canada.

EMISGOD
05-19-2007, 11:59 PM
1) This is your website.
2) Real companies do not market themselves in this manner.
3) USANA is a joke, a dismal one at best.
4) Shocker's AlphaMale has been doing nicely lately. MHP Activite is also good.

To rely on a single multivitamin, though, honestly, is stupid. I use mine as a base and tailor it to my specific body chemistry. Unfortunately, the only way to do this is through trial and error, but happily, I have such a combination for myself, which can be viewed in my BodySpace.

EMISGOD,

You having a bad day or what? No need to be so hostile.

You clearly have not done any research on USANA Health Sciences. USANA is one of the few truly science based nutrition companies out there, and they are publicly traded (which most nutrition companies are not). Being publicly traded (symbol: USNA) speaks volumes towards the credibility of the company. And please do not bother me with your skepticism on this one....I work on a securities trading floor and have audited several publicly traded companies through my career as a CPA. You simply cannot become publicy traded without having BOTH very sound products, and very sound financials and business models. What you are confusing for a joke is the majority of the rest of the crap on the market.

But as I said, do your own homework.

As for my website, I'm not sure what you mean by "real companies do not market themselves this way." That is a petty naive statement. To the contrary, I would argue that the vast majority of "real" companies have a website, and they most definitely use it to market themselves.

CG113,

Of those on your list, Source Naturals are by far the best. In the Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements, they are highly rated with a score of 92.8 out of 100. This Guide rates over 1500 multivitamins in North America, with a panel of 14 doctors and nutritionists, and is based on all the important criteria (completeness, potency, biovavailability, toxicity risk, heart health, bone health, etc, etc). I am a distributor of USANA Essentials, which was ranked #1 over-all with a score of 96.1, but you cannot go wrong with Source Naturals. With their score of 92.8, they ranked #4 out of 1500....that's not bad! And they are cheaper than USANA Essentials.

I would, of course, love to get you taking USANA Essentials, but if money is an issue, go with Source Naturals. My USANA website is below if interested:

make sure your vitamin doesn't have both calcium and zinc or else the zinc won't realyl get absorbed. and guys don't need iron on a daily basis.

Yeah, I think Calcium and Iron ALSO interfere with the absorption of one another. Even though the MV I take has both Calcium and Zinc in it... I take a separate Calcium Citrate + Vit D + Magnesium before I go to bed. I've read that Calcium is a natural sleeping supplement - for lack of better wording.

G.N.C MegaMen because they are phar. Grade wich means they have no synth. Fillers so your body can actually absorb the nutrients and there time release 2a days so 1 at beakfast and 1 at lunch you get a good sustained release all day also the sport and active has aditional energy blend for more kick and added BCAA's to help protein synth. Also electrolite replacment. ;)

This isn't the first time I've seen USANA come up, and generally with outlandish claims on why a multi should cost $5 per day ;). In reality, they haven't performed too well in the lab tests it seems... their CoQ-10 coming in worst at 14% of their 'guarenteed potency' (http://biz.yahoo.com/seekingalpha/070507/34625_id.html?.v=1). Do a search for this company, and start looking past the generated pages used by their multi-level marketing scheme (which has been attacked in numerous cases as being a pyramid scheme)... discrepancies start popping up. They grew considerably in a short time, due to the setup of the MLM scheme, but that isn't (wasn't) predicted to continue, as it seems to rely heavily on new entries of people.

That said, my top three: NOW Vit-Min, MHP Activite, MRM Beyond Basics

Tiny,

You DO realize that this report you are referring to is based off of Barry Minkow's claims, a convicted felon (securities fraud). Mr. Minkow owned put options of USANA stock, meaning he was set to make millions if he could come up with a story to knock USANA's stock price down. He will likely be back in jail sometime in the near future. If you want to believe a claim written by this guy, then best of luck to you, but I will stick with what the medical community and wall street has to say about this company.

Everybody in this forum takes their health pretty seriously, and that is why I encourage everyone to do their own research and see for themselves why USANA Essentials are so much better than anything else out there. There are some other good products, but USANA has consistently been the best. Are they pricey? They cost more than most commercially produced junk you can buy in the stores, yes, but the claims in that article of $5.00 a day is ridiculous! They cost $1.43 per day. That is more than your everyday multivitamin....but this is NOT your everyday vitamin. This is designed for optimal nutrition, for preventing disease, for optimum work-out recovery. Most everything you buy in the stores today provide the minimum RDA levels. Those aren't helping you much..especially since so little of these synthetically coated products are able to be digested past your stomach wall.

Do yourself a favor and go to Amazon and purchase the Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements. It is very enlightening about the importance of antioxidants, how much our bodies need, and ranks over 1500 multi's in North America. A large part of my reason to start using (and then selling) USANA products was based off of this annual study/guide.

Lastly, USANA offers a $1 million dollar athlete guarantee to Olympic and professional athletes that what they say is in their products, is in fact in their products, and nothing will cause them to fail any drug screenings for their competitions. How many nutrition companies do you know who offer a guarantee like that? I've heard of none.

Anyway, Barry Minkow's report about USANA is a complete fraud...I wanted to make sure you were mindful of that.

Sure, the lab result said that animal pak (at 2 packs) contains:
12372 IU vitamin A
877 mg vitamin C
1152 IU vitamin D3
404 IU vitamin E
97.8 mg vitamin B1
...
274 mg folic acid
...
18 mg zinc
etc

All over the board, numbers which for the most part exceed label claims by a lot (a few are under the claims). NOT a good thing.

Yes, that is very true. They by the most part exceed label claims, but have you bothered to understand the LEGALITIES of being UNDER board?

Most companies including soft drink makers always give MORE than they state. When they say 28 grams of sugar, its most likely 30. When they say 200 ml, they're most likely giving you 205 ml. Companies do this because there are more risks of legal action taken if you are UNDER what they state in their nutritions label.

I don't find your statement justified well enough.

Ok,

b6 is 193% of label claim and came in at 139 mg.

The daily upper tolerable limit for vitamin b6 is 100 mg. Yes, you CAN overdose on b vitamins IF you take them in via supplement form.

10% over is understandable perhaps. Download the document, I was just trying to briefly state what it was about for the one poster.

To those who have animal pak, I would suggest to take only one pack per day.

You guys really should get yourselves a copy of The Comparative Guide to Nutritonal Supplements. I'm telling you, it is worth the money (I think it costs $25 a Amazon). 1500 multi-vitamins sold in North America are ranked by a panel of 14 doctors and nutritionists. You will be shocked by what you read.

All I will tell you, in the interest of not writing you a book on it, is that 99% of the vitamin supplements you buy in the stores are a complete waste of money. Centrum products especially! They have very low dosages, and of what they do contain, very little of it is able to be digested past your stomach wall due to the low quality ingredients and synthetic coating they put on the pills (to make them last on store shelves so long).

Rule of thumb: You get what you pay for. If you are paying for a $10 bottle of vitamins, you are getting a very low quality supplement, one that does not follow the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for Pharmaceuticals, one that contains only the MINIMUM of what our bodies need for preventing disease and reducing lactic acid (and other free radicals), and one that has very low bioavailability.

Read this study I refer to above. You will see what the experts recommend. For me, since I didn't go to school for celluar biology, medicine, and/or nutrition, and b/c I want to take my nutriton very seriously, I tend to listen to the experts. Especially in today's world where marketing drives the success of nutritional products more so than the quality of the products themselves.

That's my opinion anyway.

If you really want the best multi-vitamin out there today, trust what our Olymic athletes trust, and get yourself some USANA Essentials:
