OT is good for people lifting, but its aslo great for anyone who wants to improve there help.....got anything to add to that tank/pu?

I use Animal Pak to provide me with the cornerstone of my diet. The product provides a great balance of nutrients and ingredients that I would never get eating from a limited diet. While 11 pills are a mouthful, the results that I have experienced are worth it!

6 pills for 3 products in one is no big deal. its also divided into 2 tabs with each meal. why is that so bad? the pills are easy to get down and are roughly the size of a standard capsule. some products are just multis and are 11 or 12 tabs at one time

I used Animal Pak and loved 'em. Didn't find it too cumbersome to take 11 pills in one sitting, but I'm giving ON Opti Men a try soon. Only 1 pill, 3 times a day.
The one Natural Guy posted up seems to be a good bang for the buck, and not many pills whatsoever.

currently taking Orange Triad two pills in the morning and one pill every 3 hours with my mrp's and meals after. I swithced to OT primarily because of the msm and joint complex. I used to take animal pak and it too is a tremendous product but I had a hard time deciding when to take it on non-training days and having one pill with all of the vitamins in it and taking it multiple times a day just works better for me as of now.

I've always been a fan of Nature's Plus Source of Life multi-vitamin. I pay about $42 out the door for 180. It's a three-a-day made with whole food concentrates for maximum bioavailability. If you can't absorb a vitamin, what good is it. And a good vitamin will cost you. Don't be won over by the vitamin rack at Wal-Mart. Real vitamins are found in health food stores.

Right now I am trying out a 90 cap bottle or Garden of Life Living Multi - Men's Formula.
I really can't compare it to anything but a wal mart one a day.....but I've noticed some improvements in energy and well being, for real. However, maybe I needed a multi vitamin period and didn't know it.
I cannot be sure but when the bottle is gone, I'll see how I feel after that.
6 a day is recommended. It contains 80 whole food concentrates. The pills are not large but are not always the easiest to go down because there is no coating on them.

I take the Founder's Club Multi from Andrew Lessman (Pro Caps Labs). I can't find a multi that is more complete, gentler on the stomach, or backed by more scientific research than his. He is, da man, as far as I'm concerned. EXTREMELY expensive, but, to me, well worth it.

It speaks volumes. For a product to be the top seller in the industry for 25 years, a quarter of a century is amazing. Think of how many supplements and supplement companies that have come and gone in that time frame.
I know a lot pro bodybuilders in the industry and many of them (including guys/gals that are sponsored by other companies) have been using Animal Pak for years. It's not a flashy product but it gets the job done. A solid, foundational multi plus designed for bodybuilders/athletes, made in the U.S. by Universal (not farmed out to some 3rd party) in a gmp facility. It's not for couch potatoes and weekend warriors.

Were you on any other previous multi's? Most people experience the "pak piss" right off the bat because of the sudden increase in vitamins. Then as you gradually keep taking it your body regulates. The only time I ever experience pak piss is when I don't drink enough water.

A pak all the way no doubt
So i been looking at Orange Triad and Now Adams, but i am 135lbs and feel like maybe all these multivitamins have to much in it. I don't want to OD on any vitamins and just want to get enough.
Is there too much of each vitamin/mineral in these 2 products?
who needs like 200-500% of daily needs?
I am concerned, i took principles of nutrition class from what i learn to much of certain vitamins can actually damage organs.....
any thoughts?
Right now I'm on AST Multi-Pro 32x, but looks like I'll be trying Animal Pak once I'm done with this stuff.

yeah, orange triad is not only a multi, but is a fully dosed joint supplement and digestion/immune aid
orange triad vs animal pak? ive taken animal for a long time but never tried orange triad, it worth the switch?

i switched to orange triad because i cant be fukd taking all those stupid pills, which are stupidly sized. Plus orange triad has more of what i want, like immune components aswell as better joint formula

the amount of iron is pretty small.
and plus, iron is difficult to absorb.
however, i've tried and didn't like ast multi pro. my body had lots of trouble absorbign it and i didn't get bright urine like i do with other multis.
i'm using adams now and optimen right now.
but i really wanna try orange triad so i'll give that a go next time.

AnimalPak! Sure it's pricey, and sometimes it can be a bitch to swallow, but I find I get less colds etc and generally feel better when I'm on it, more so than with a regular one a day.

You get a 6 week supply for around $23, thats not expensive when you consider that you get a multi, amino's, performance optimizers, efa's and a digestive complex. Most people like you experienced say they feel a difference on it.

im trying to decide between source naturals mens life force multiples and orange triad. i really want to try OT since everyone here is raving about it but i read some article about how most multis have poor absorption rates. mens life force multiples was at 90+ percent. theyre pretty much same price per serving and but OT has the joint support, immune system, and digestion help.
what do you guys think? which one should i go for? anyone used both before?

I got a crazy cheap price on Garden of Life Living Multi (Men's Formula) and it doesn't show up in feces. (On ebay)
Their pills look like their probiotic pills but a tad smaller with more stuff in them. I don't get too much of the bright pee since I take 3 pills 2x a day.
6 is the recommended allowance.
It includes with the vitamins this mixture.
sea veg,antioxidant fruit/veggie/herbal/mushroom/trace mineral/botanicals.
Each serving having different milligrams most being the sea veg.

I've considered Animal Pak before, but from reading various testimonials, I'm not sure if it's actually worth it or just hyped.
Question: Does it really make a drastic difference whether you swallow or chew the pills? (Even if it was meant to be swallowed.)
Thanks in advance

Yea, but honestly, I don't really mind...I've done it before and I can't deny that it is in fact a horrid, rancid taste, but the thing is I have a hard time swallowing pills in itself. I can do little ones, but the larger sized ones like fish oil I have to just hold my breath, chew, and swallow it so I can get over with it already. I've gotten pretty used to it, so the taste isn't really a problem for me. I don't suppose it has any advantage, but are there any negatives to doing this?

With animal pak it would have a negative effect if you chewed the pills. Each pill has a special time released coating on it to help absorption of all of the vitamins. If you chew them, then the time released coatings are diminished.

You guys should make your decision on what fits you and your goals. I am not going to try to sway you either way. Compare the formulas, they are certainly different with Pak you get a multi, amino's, performance optimizers, efa's and a full digestive complex. It's manufactured by Universal Nutrition (not farmed out to a 3rd party) with top notch quality control in our own gmp facility.
If you do decide to go with the Animal Pak we have a 100% guarantee on all our products if your not satisfied, no matter where you purchase it from. That speaks volumes.
A multi is not going to make or break you in this journey, your diet and training will. Keep in mind that bodybuilding is a marathon, not a sprint. It's your consistency on a day to day basis that will help you reach your goals.
If budget is an issue, SportPharma Multi-V is an excellent choice at $8.99 for a 6 week supply. It's not the Pak but it's a well dosed multi with a lot of extras.

let me give you some context.
with orange triad you get a FULLY DOSED multivitamin, joint supplement, digestion/immune aid all manufactured in a GMP for sport facility, which means it meets strict GMP manufacturing standards and that no hormones are made in the facility. Thus guaranteeing the quality and integrity of the product. that means you will never test positive for a steroid by taking our products :)

Okay I'm too lazy to write 2 sup reviews, so check:
Having tried Animal Pak for a year and a half while deployed, and just finishing my third bottle of Orange Triad I have a strong opinion on both.
Other than the "OMG What's happening to me!!" Nuclear yellow urine you get from your first one or two initial servings of Animal Pak, I would have to say it is a great multi that helped supplement the nutrional deficiencies of a deployment.
It is lacking in one key area which made Orange Triad my new choice multi. That key area is joint support. With Animal Pak you have to also buy Animal Flex. Not so with Orange Triad. Not only does this make sense serving wise but money wise too.
It's come down to the 45 serves of OT at $29 or 44 servings of Animal Pak plus 44 servings of Animal Flex at $23.97 and $22.95 respectively for the same basic effect. You decide.
OT is my choice for multi.
/I still love Animal Stak though. No other test pack compares to it.

Thank you for the feedback. Just so you understand why we do what we do. We don't combine a multi and joint supplement for several reasons: 1. Not everyone should be or needs to take a joint supplement. 2. We would not be able to put out the most effective joint formula if we combined it with a multi and we don't cut corners.
If you find OT effective then by all means use it however the formulas are not the same when it comes to the joint complex you are not comparing apples to apples:
What makes Animal Flex different from other joint supplements:
Most joint supplements have the regular glucosamine/chondroitin/msm. These are effective joint supporting nutrients. Animal Flex contains these nutrients in adequate doses however it does not stop there and here is where the differences are:
Animal Flex, like other Animal supplements, is complete and comprehensive. Each pack of Animal Flex consists of several key protective complexes: (1) a potent joint construction complex to help repair connective tissue; (2) a lubrication compound to help cushion the joints from lifting; (3) a support complex to help promote rehabilitation and reduce soreness; and (4) an essential vitamin/mineral blend to underscore optimal joint health.
Animal Flex has some patented ingredients that you won't find in other joint supplements such as CMO:
WHAT IS CETYLMYRISTOLEATE ?
Cetyl Myristoleate is an all-natural medium chain fatty acid found in only a small number of very select species of animals. Clinical experience suggests that Cetyl Myristoleate acts as an anti-inflammatory, as well as a surfactant and lubricant for damaged joints. Basically, it makes them more "slippery." This substance holds the promise of being the most effective solution to joint problems of any product ever introduced into the market. It is not habit-forming and contains no harsh chemicals or drugs that can cause side effects. It works in a natural manner by acting at the site of inflammation, is highly resistant to oxidation, it has a relatively long life in the body.
Bromelain is another ingredient that you don't find in other joint supplements. Bromelain is useful in the treatment of a wide range of conditions, but it is particularly effective in relieving inflammation associated with infection and physical injuries.
These are just a couple of ingredients that make Animal Flex stand out.

If budget is an issue, SportPharma Multi-V is an excellent choice at $8.99 for a 6 week supply. It's not the Pak but it's a well dosed multi with a lot of extras.
Hard to beat Multi-Vs comprehensiveness and price. Multi-V combines a complete and potent vitamin and mineral formula along with 5 other key complexes: greens, anti-oxidants, immune support, energizers and digestive enzymes, hence the V. All for $8.99.

glad to hear you found orange triad so effective. another great benefit is that the 6 tabs are mixed uniformly so each contains the same as the next. this allows you to spread it to 3 tabs twice per day or 2 tabs 3 times per day, which mimics regular food and nutrient consumption for great absorption.
it doesnt make sense to take a vitamin once and then have it last all day. the body is designed to take in food 3 or more times per day and this is how it is used to getting nutrients, so why should y our multi be any different. :)

if any of you actually care what is in your multivitamin perhaps take a look at what is listed beside vitamin E. If it is alpha-tocopherol I would probably look elsewhere for a properly formulated multi:

I am having a difficult choice on what multi vitamin to purchase. I have narrowed it down to AST Multi Pro and Optimen vs Animal Pak. Money is not an issue but the thought of taking 11 big ass pills a day just seems too much, a hassle, and unnecessary. Is there a big difference between AST Multi Pro and Optimen compared to Animal Pak? Which one is the best? Also is it true that Animal Pak can cause hair loss?

Animal Pak is not 13 pills. It's 11. You are getting a multi, amino's, performance optimizers, efa's and a full digestive complex.
Your getting 5 products in one.
You have to understand that you can only fit so much in tablets. There is a lot in Animal Pak.
If you want something with less pills yet still a great formula that has more than just a multi:

Ortho wha?? lol
Yeah, agreed x100!
I come from another planet in the supplement game (no not that place you order from) where Ortho Core is known as the current king of multis... I've spent most of my free time through the 20's (when I should have been partying, chasing skirts and drinking beer) reading, researching, and blah, blah, alternative medicine, optimum nutrition, anti-aging, you name it and was always in the quest for the best in supplementation... I believe Ortho Core is as good as it gets for now.
Glad there are other brainiacs :) catching on to the Ortho Core health train... believe me, if there was something better, I'd be all over it.

You can take the Animal Pak all at once (I take it with breakfast) the tablets are timed release so the nutrients trickle into your system for best absorption. If 11 is too much for you at one time, you can split them up however you like as long as you take them with a meal.

Quick question regarding this meal business/timing of consumption... Advertisements I've seen and articles I've read have stated that the pack should be consumed half an hour after a meal, before you work out. Is there much difference in effectiveness depending on the timing of consumption?

You do not need to take the Pak pre workout. Our newest labels reflect this and state to take the Animal Pak with any meal. Most of the nutrients are timed release so as long as you take it daily you will be fine.
