Every site out there pretty much takes everything (when it leaks) from mediaportal.ru and then re-uploads everything to the same hosting site and more. That's what i've noticed. And then there's metal4ever which has their uploaders upload stuff they bought and then upload it again. Those are the two main ones i use.



Damn. I have all my ripped stuff on drive E and hopefully that lasts for a long time. It would suck having to re-rip everything again, and re-remove cd wraps and then slip it on again and remember which songs to rip and which ones not to.

I will check some of the sites you mentioned. Again, just lost a bunch of discs because I guess it overloaded when I was away on the weekend. Maybe it surged and fried the one using the most power, no idea as I wasn't here.

You should be fine with what you are using. My PC has 2 Internal 750GB drives, was running that 1TB External, and 2 500GB Externals as well. Plus my Blu Ray burner is hooked to my PC, all my cam chargers so a major fire hazard behind my desk, LOL. :D

1 500GB is more or less used for my FTP transfers as most guys I know would rather just upload to FileZilla instead of sending films in the mail. Some shows are 8GB each so takes up space quick. My fault for leaving my PC on so I will just have to get back some of what I lost.

Now I know what Brian just went through, LMAO. :D

You ever been to the Sounds of the Underground tour MetFan? They didn't have it this year 'cas of Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival which didn't even happen in Toronto, but they (hopefully) should be here next year. Heavy MTL didn't happen too.

K, never been to Sounds of the Underground. Always wanted to but either hit the Warped Tour or Ozzfest.

Sucks that Mayhem didn't happen in Toronto and still not sure why as they still had it in the States but guess up here in Canada we get stiffed.

That Heavy MTL would have been worth travelling to but as with most big tours, something seems to stall them here. Festivals happen all over Europe but here with the population we have it should work, but never does.

As shown by the Virgin Music Festival, Canadians are just not into spending an entire day checking out various bands.

so this dude takes an HDcam to metallica live in Birmingham u.k 25/3/2009 & the result is imo as good as being at the gig yourself!


this is a stunning cam job & the audio is 10/10 WOW!

obviously being a cam it's by no means perfect but i think the guy has done an amazing job & clearly knows how to utilize a hand held in a frantic atmosphere.

this is a must have for any metallica fan, being in Birmingham (home to the sabbath) means a few little treats from the boys so i wont give the track listing for that reason alone.

it's a large file 8.26GB but i refuse to convert it as the quality will be affected.

This is my friend Simon's recording and I am sure he would not appreciate this being posted here. He filmed this for the Metallica community and some douche has since sold it on EBAY and now it is up for download when he origianlly only gave it to a select few Metallica collectors.

I have this show along with his Manchester recording but his intent was not for this to happen. It is all about respect for the guys going out there and risking filming.


Also, if you watched it and wondered why the audio is so good, it is because we synch LiveMetallica FLAC to all our recordings because more often than not audio gets torched. My Toronto recording was not done in HD, but it will be watermarked because some people clearly lack any semblance of respect.

I know it is an awesome show and truth is, I have many other friends that have filmed Metallica on this tour in HD but sadly too many people are doing things like this and they are now skeptical to release any more recordings.

I thank you and I am sure my friend will as well as he is quite put off right now with the Metallica community with how this was handled. That is why his other show was only given to me and a handful of other people he knows he can trust will not do things like that to.

Former professional wrestler and full-time overprotective dad Hulk Hogan auditioned to play bass for both Metallica and the Rolling Stones during the 1980s, according to his forthcoming autobiography My Life Outside the Ring.

Speaking to the Chicago Tribune, Hogan said: I was in England presenting an award with Jerry Hall, Mick Jaggers ex, and she told me the [Rolling] Stones were looking for a bass player. Throughout their 35 years of recording, AC/DC has had several tracks that have appeared in a myriad of places besides their official studio albums. From singles to soundtracks to promo samplers, their stray songs have been sought after by fans and highly collectible. Now, for the first time, Backtracks collects 12 of the band?s studio rarities and 15 live rarities and presents them in full remastered form to take their place along side the rest of the band?s canon (pun intended?). Includes the highly sought-after ?Cold Hearted Man,? ?Rock In Peace? and ?Borrowed Time?. Also features ?Big Gun? ? never before on any AC/DC album!

The first disc consists primarily of singles and tracks (not on the U.S. release) starting with the band's first album,"High Voltage". These tracks show the band from their formative (1974) period,and are presented in chronological order,which is helpful,as it shows the growth of this band into the r&r juggernaut they became. Not all the tracks are full-on r&r("Love Song" as an example),but by the time listeners hear track four, "R.I.P.(Rock in Peace)",this is the AC/DC familiar to everyone who likes primal,full-on r&r. Even the slower songs (like "Crabsody in Blue") have that dirty,primal sound that the band was so famous for. There are many listeners who feel that the (late) Bon Scott era was a high water mark for the band,and listening to the tracks with Scott,its hard to disagree. Scott's voice is pure,visceral r&r at its best. However,with the addition of Brian Johnson,replacing Scott,the band seemed to solidify into the overwhelming,powerful group that went on to define what r&r is all about.

"Suicidal Tendencies (also known as S.T. or Suicidal) is an American hardcore punk and heavy metal band. They were formed in Venice, Los Angeles, California, in 1981 by the leader and only permanent member, singer Mike Muir.

Suicidal Tendencies were formed in 1981 as a hardcore punk band in Venice, California. The original line-up of the band consisted of Muir on vocals, Mike Ball on guitar, Carlos "Egie" Egert on drums, and Mike Dunnigan on bass. After the recording of its first demo, Carlos Egert left the band and was replaced by Dunnigan's brother Sean. Muir, at the time a student at Santa Monica College, originally only intended Suicidal Tendencies as a "party band" for fun, but as the band grew in notoriety he soon found the band at the center of his life.

Suicidal Tendencies had a rough start that included being voted "Worst Band/Biggest a*****s" in Flipside in 1982..."

Of all the various best-ofs and compilations that have come out over time that cover the Go-Go's career, this one is the clearest winner, by a long shot. Though by default it doesn't tell the full story, appearing as it did in 1994, in terms of containing both the famous hits and a slew of rarities and unreleased tracks, Return to the Valley of the Go-Go's is equally valuable for both neophytes and hardcore fans. The first 11 tracks alone make for an entertaining peek into the band's earliest days, with a slew of live cuts from both early rehearsals and gigs, including a number of songs taped at the legendary SF punk venue the Mabuhay Gardens. Everything's rough, energetic, and merry fun — while it's no surprise why some compositions remained unheard in later years, it's still worth hearing how the group pureed everything from straight-up punk to spaghetti Western guitar and girl group right from the start. A real treat is a romp through "Johnny, Are You Queer?" which would later get a more famous (and much more sedate!) take by Josie Cotton. Plenty of rare B-sides from the group's commercially dominant days surface here and there, and as for the big hits, they're available a-plenty: "We Got the Beat," "Vacation," "Our Lips Are Sealed," "Head Over Heels," "Turn to You," and more. Choice album cuts include "Skidmarks on My Heart" and "This Town." Closing things out is an acoustic live take on "Mercenary" from the band's 1990 reunion and three wholly new songs from 1994, including the enjoyable "The Whole World Lost Its Head." Topping things off is a great booklet featuring a hilarious collection of photos and ephemera from early days on, with plenty of amusing comments from the bandmembers, along with an enjoyable history of the group and reflections from all five on their favorite songs. -- AllMusic

YEah, that's what I usually do, try again later because it says "There are no more download slots available for free users right now. If you don't want to become a premium member, you might want to try again later." Peak times, it happens. Hopefully you get to 'em all before they're pulled though. I've been trying myself because I want :)

Reps don't mean much to be anyway, if that's what you were actually referring to. It's not like i get repped by anyone in this thread anyway, the only people that rep me are Mindripper, ctgblue, MetFan, marblehead and once in a while by someone else for fulfilling a request. If i really did care about them i would go on irc right now and do referrals for Pogue and be over 100k in reps just like that.

And what have i done that makes you think i've done something because i have "good reputation"?

The funny thing what started all this is the guy who contradicted himself by saying others stalks mods when he pretty much doesn't contribute nothing to this thread in the first place or knows how to take advantage of the sites features; one of them being getting a PM or email when someone replys to a thread one is subscribed to. And since you're a mod you can see deleted posts so you don't have to worry about be lying or making something up.

Mods don't delete my post so everyone can see what kind of person this guy is. Everyone can go through the thread and see if I have contributed to it or not. Maybe I haven't posted as many guitar related stuff that coincidentially mods like 'ripper and ctgblue like so much as he has, that's true. Not only is he trying too hard to disparage me but I'm sure he's so stupid he actually thinks that I don't know how to use the thread tools.
Regarding his comment about ctgblue's request, I deleted my post just because someone posted it before me, as he himself said, simple like that. Seriously, where's this guy's credibility? I hope he's been finally PERMABANNED and not just banned for the umteenth time, because he's always annoying people and acting all superior to them. Please keep this site clean of this crap so we all can enjoy it, thanks.
