For the first time since 1993, COC founding member Reed Mullin and Karl Agell, singer on the Blind album, are back together playing the entire original version of the Corrosion of Conformity album, Blind. With the rest of the Blind album lineup working on various other projects, Reed and Karl have as supporting musicians, Scott Little (from Karl Agell?s band, Leadfoot) and Jason Browning and Jerry Barrett (both from HR of Bad Brains' solo band) to handle guitars and bass. From Damned for All Time to Echoes in the Well, including Dance of the Dead and Vote with a Bullet, it's all in there in a totally re-orchestrated set. Touring begins Spring 2009.

In a Q&A session which followed The Flaming Lips' brief appearance at the Ricardo MontalbÃƒÂ¡n Theater in Hollywood Los Angeles on Thursday night (October 15th) as a free launch event for their new album "Embryonic" band leader Wayne Coyne revealed interesting details of their next album.

The band will release a track-by-track interpretation of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" in the near future which it recorded with Stardeath and the White Dwarfs a band that features CoyneÃ¢€™s nephew Dennis.

Henry Rollins and Peaches make guest appearances on the album Coyne told the crowd during the pre-concert Q&A. A Flaming Lips spokesman says the album will likely be an iTunes-only release at least initially. Our thanks to Hank Garbuzinski for the info.

The Metal Den (http://themetalden.com/index.php?p=10555) has received exclusive photos that have been taken during the current installation of a home recording studio for BLACK LABEL SOCIETY/ex-OZZY axe slinger Zakk Wylde, at his residence outside of Los Angeles. Late September saw the start of initial interior demo of the existing structure and construction prep work.

Builder Zack ***an comments:

?Having demolished the old walls and removed all of the debris from Zakk?s guest house, the real work of prepping the structure and starting the construction phase can begin. An entire new subfloor has been installed under the amp room, control room, drum room and piano room. The floors have all been re-insulated with eco-friendly 100% cotton insulation and an additional floating floor will soon be installed on top of the new subflooring. Amp room and Drum room have been built out to be totally isolated from the rest of the structure and an entirely new electrical system has been installed. A state of the art power transformer and dedicated isolated grounding system has also been put in place. Stay tuned for additional updates!!?

The band Painface started in 1992 later turned into the popular nu-metal band Slipknot (around 1994).
Once Anders left Slipknot, he took the name 'Painface' with him and started a new band with that name in 1998.
Anders also came up with the name 'Slipknot'. At first, it was a song but later it became a bandname.
So 'Slipknot' was actually a Painface song. Anders Colsefini's real name is Andrew Rouw. He assumed this name
to keep his lives inside and outside of the band separate.
After Painface's second split in 2001, Andrew Rouw dropped his stage name and created the band Vice Grip Throttle, a death metal-influenced southern sludge metal band. Rouw reunited Painface again in 2008, after VGT split up.

Soil, often typeset as SOiL, is a four piece rock band from Chicago, Illinois, United States. Members currently include AJ Cavalier (vocalist), Tom Schofield (drums), Tim King (bass), and Adam Zadel (guitar). Soil's success came in 2001 when Pat Lynch of Orlando rock radio station WJRR, played the demo of "Halo" in heavy rotation. A major label bidding war erupted, the band chose J Records (a division of RCA Records). Music industry legend Clive Davis, responsible for signing such acts as Pink Floyd and Bruce Springsteen, signed the band, and stated that "you're gonna be my only rock band for now. i think the album is already up in all versions, the guy from last.fm, from whom i've taken the rip, has already uploaded it in all formats. so all those others will probably be on the net pretty soon.

and i always prefer the v0 and v2 rips due to a huge size difference.

Been listening to Psychopathy Red very loud in the car today whilst on my way over to Guildford and back, it was on the free Metal Hammer CD this week, and now I come in and I have the whole album waiting...

Don't host images (that's a thing of the past), right click and copy the image link from the site you got it from or google the band + album and fine a small (300 x 300) and paste the image between this: (no spaces)

And code your links: [code][ /code] (no spaces again)

isn't there a rule that you cannot use the img tags until after 50 posts or something?

Yeah , and another rule that the guy who doesn`t make his post the right way should be executed . I did try to post pics on the page but I didn`t know how and didn`t really have time to figure it out . I could have asked U`ll tell me , but I was glad I could finally contribute ( modestly I admit ) 2 the thread . I could have gotten a friendly hey 7drksouls , nice 2 c U`r a new contributor here , and I would have posted , still modestly , but regularly the stuff I come by . But since I get don`t do this or that , rules and blahblah I won`t . Not that it matters to Ur little private club .

Yeah it will, but sucks as it was only 2 weeks away.

Oh well, I am sure Slayer will do something special to make up for it. MegaDave doesn't care enough and it is not his fault this happened so a standard Megadeth show is what we will get.

Still hoping Machine Head rolls in with them again though as sadly LOG & Volbeat were kind of lame openers for Metallica.

Machine Head at least gets the crowd moving. Well that and I really want to film all 3 bands. :D

True man, far cry from what I expected but still better.

Same as Metallica though. Once you write an epic album like Master Of Puppets, you can never relive it. That was their time & place in the metal industry.

Reign In Blood can never be done again. I appreciate they went back and tried, but let those albums hold their place in Metal History.

Yeah, Hell Awaits is a good album too but Reign In Blood just tears it up start to finish.

Kind of bummed about the show not happening, but they will be back.

Not to mention the fact that my buddy in IL will be filming Megadeth & Machine Head and tix were $34.00 but here with Slayer on the bill they were $90.00:eek:

Yeah I know, but a lot of the headaches that section brought are also gone so I guess we have to give it to the Mods on that call.

Was cool for those that paid on time and whatnot, but you know that section was chaos on most days.

Its like they recorded the guitars through a 2W practice amp.

I liked human strain though.

Throwdown's deathless album leaked but the version I got has these click noises in the background. So if you like them watch out for that version and for other members on this site who like dashboard confessional, I think their album leaked as well.
