I do, I think that Megadeth is more versatile than Slayer

I love Slayer and all but they are stuck in a certain type of style and get too far away from that before they aren't Slayer.
Megadeth can cover a wide range of styles and still do it well.

Plus Chris Broderick is pretty nasty, I know Dave will write the **** but Chris could put a bit of flair to it. I think it would be pretty awesome if Chris had some of his Classical style in the new album

We have a 2 bedroom house, with a second child on the way....Plus my I don't like the town, too many idiots, and it was very inconveient to visit family 2 hours away...makes it hard to be a part of stuff.
I am also switching jobs and mines to be closer.

Black Clouds & Silver Linings is one of their best efforts ever and seeing them live, they are amazingly tight and have not sounded better than now.

I know we are all entitled to an opinion, but after all the music they have written in 20 years it is tough to keep coming up with something that can top what they previously did.

And as good as you THINK Scale The Summit is...... they are atrocious live. Just seen them last month opening for DT and I would say 99.9% of the Amphitheatre felt exactly the same. Yet another case of studio tricks making them better than they really are.

James messes up the lyrics nightly, Kirk is sloppy as ****, Rob brings it every night so no issues with him, but Lars is the only consistant one in the band and he is the least talented, LOL.

Yeah I read that too, but realistically not too sure it could be pulled off. I mean Megadeth just made an awesome album, Slayer's album is supposed to be really good so how does it all work.

Anthrax is included because they were part of the big 4 from the 80's but agree they are a mess and don't really deserve to be there.

I suppose 90 minutes for each band could work, but with 2 bands out with a NEW album and Metallica touring for DM still I don't think it would be fair that they get top billing even though truth be told, Metallica will be the main reason it is sold out.

Well I would hope those 2 bands could put 20,000 people into a venue but they have both struggled to get 10,000 most nights.

Add Metallica and it is a guaranteed 20K. Not boasting just stating how it has been for Slayer and Megadeth.

Either way, it would be an awesome tour for sure and it truly would be the Metal tour to end all tours.

Well, I saw the original Clash Of The Titans tour with Slayer/Megadeth/Anthrax in 90 or 91, getting old can't remember and that did not sell out. It was at CNE Grandstand which at that time I think held 16,000 and it maybe had 10K there.

I know Slayer has been playing theater type venues the past few tours which is 5-7K and Megadeth has been on the Priest Feast tour and in Europe they are drawing OK, but in NA they struggle and have to play ****holes like Arrow Hall.

Again, I REALLY hope the fans come out of the woodwork and support Slayer & Megadeth as they deserve it. I know I will buy the albums and go to their shows just hope others do the same.

Guys, it is not an attack just an observation on my part in your comments. We all have an opinion which is cool but they have not lost a step is what I guess I am saying.

I do hear you on the long songs and I suppose that is reason enough to get bored, but after 20 tears it is tough to find new ideas. But live is where their talents as a band shine and I have mentioned more than once that is how I gauge a band.

Count Of Tuscany, although 20 minutes long is still an amazing song that lobs and peaks and really shows how good the band is.

Again, I guess because I am older I am appreciating the more complex, technical side of music. I even told K yesterday that I have not been digging too much Metallica lately as I am bored to tears of them messing up night after night live.

They USED to be the band that set the tone for me, but now sadly they truly are a shell of their former selves. James messes up the lyrics nightly, Kirk is sloppy as ****, Rob brings it every night so no issues with him, but Lars is the only consistant one in the band and he is the least talented, LOL.


***EDIT*** And yeah, Scale The Summit was a messy wall of noise. Very, very bad and rumblings were they were supposed to get dropped when DT was done in Canada, but have not heard anything about it.

Well there is more energy at a Metallica show for sure, not questioning that but I have probably 700 live DVD's and all FLAC since 2004 and and many other MP3/FLAC from 84 on up and there are a ****load of mistakes every night and it does bug me as they set the tone for what a live show should be like and are now failing themselves.

They just mess up way too much is what I am getting at. Yeah they can still put on a decent show, but the amount of mistakes that happen night after night is what has me down on them.

Have seen them live 53X and saw their first ever show in 1985 in Toronto so I think I can speak on their live performance.

Nope he went to prison be because he didn't serve in the Finnish Military

In May 2007, as a result of his failure to do his mandatory civil/military service he spent one month in a Finnish prison until he decided to perform these duties, because of this he and the other members of Sonata Arctica reached an agreement that they would go their separate ways [1]. He left the band on good terms and was then replaced by Elias Viljanen.

Just a note for those who post music here and are lucky enough to be mod repped a couple of times, (myself included). It seems that now we have to worry about being punished for our trouble. Not to mention those of us that participated heavily in the rep betting forum.
Seems that there are some mods that take offense to those that they consider have been repped to much, and fitty is adjusting reps downward.
There are a bunch of guys that I see all the time who have been affected.
I'll have to think twice about continuing to post music here. :(

From what I understand from the Rep Bet fallout is the member that have high rep who neg other members.
Members who solely got their rep power to dominate others.
The admin would review the case and adjust. Certain members that rep betted did not get all their reps from there. I some rep power from there but certainly not all of it.
I believe if you make decent posts on the board and don't abuse the power you are ok.
From the convo's with Nainoa and others that is my take.

I wouldn't worry about it. If you're not negging anyone for the sake of negging them and everytime you can i don't see why he or anyone else should cut your reps in half.

A mod requests an album or whatever in here and then some admin takes action and removes reps for that? That would be absurd and stupid.

I agree with that.
I have gotten a few reps from mods in other threads too. For constructive informative posts. Why would admins take those away. That is the point of the reputation system.
