Me and my girlfriend are talking about having a child in the very near future. just a question she asked me last night about training.
After having the baby how long should it be before she could start training again, i.e Couple of weeks, months or depending on how she/her body feels.
Any help.

Well, for starters, depending on how well the delivery went, her O.B. should really be the one to let her know when training should start. She should see one BEFORE she decides to have a child, so she can prepare her body. I waited 4 months after having my child, but I knew some mothers who didn't wait that long. Good luck to you both

Check out the new Muscle-Fitness Hers! October/November 2002. There is a great article on Mary Yockey- Rust and it is a true inspiration to any woman thinking of having kids and how to rebound after. She looks better now then she did when she won the Fitness Olympia title!

I'd just like to mention that at the gym I go to, the women with the flattest stomachs, and best muscle definition, are also the women who happen to be moms. I find this hard to believe myself, but just yesterday I saw another woman in great shape who has a 6-7 year old son.
