I am new to training. My goal is to compete in fitness but I need to gain some muscle. My question is should I cut my cardio until late in the winter, so I can gain? or should continue with weights and cardio?

I'm not fitness, but I wouldn't recommend cutting cardio completely, unless your diet is spick-n-span. Keep a minimum of 3 days a weeks at 20 minutes.

You will need the endurance to practice your routine, plus cardio is heart-friendly. :)
