I have never had my fat measured...I have no idea what my body fat percentage is, and I wouldlike to have an idea of what it is....(actually i wish I had found out what it was before I started working out so I could compare......but oh well) so I was wondering If I bought one of those fat calipers or whatever its called are they easy to use and pretty accurate?.....thanks

If you use calipers, you'll have to get a friend to take the measurement for you. Tell them not to hold the pinch of skin for too long, because after about five seconds the pinched skin will lose the stored subcataneous water, giving an inaccurate reading. Make sure they do the whole body atleast 3 times, and get them to mark each landmark with a pen. There are a number of formulas used to measure the percentage, all giving slightly different results. Borrow a book on Anthropometrica from the local library to find the most accurate formula, as well as the exact spot on the skin to take the measurement.
