I wanted to post a thread about how inspirational and motivating Layne Norton's video series on natural bodybuilding really is. After seeing a few episodes it made me decide to drop the epistane that I was taking, and just stick with my other supplements. I'm going to be taking:
- whey protein (3-4 scoops per day)
- Muscle Milk (5-6 scoops per day)
- GreenMag (2 scoops during workouts)
- Hydroxycut Hardcore (3 preworkout)
And since I only took epistane for 4-5 days I am hoping a few days of Nolva and I should be good to go. This was the first time I took anything other than protein/creatine, etc. And I was going to dab a little bit to see how I would react, but after seeing these videos, no thanks.

That's f'ed up,epistane is so weak,it's not a huge difference of take or do not take it anyway, with only 4 or 5 days why nolva???

Layne's series has and continues to inspire me. I like to watch them before working out... I used to watch Ronnie's and Jay's videos... but they just don't do it for me anymore like Layne's videos do. Keep it up Layne!

I don't think 5 days of somethin like Epistane is going to require a prescription drug. I'm not a Dr. but I really doubt 5 days was enough to cause that kind of suppression. Your call..
Hey, reps for giving up the drugs..

Layne,
Very motivational and well done. The kind of condition you guys have seems like a pipe dream right now - esspecially at my age - but that is making me want to work that much harder.
Great series.

thanks cape. trust me it is not a pipe dream, just look at Flynn; he had striated glutes at his first show at over 40 years old!

You won't be shut down after only 5 days on Epistane. Epi is quite light on the shut down, but using Nolva a day or two couldn't hurt. But on a side note, if you do decide to do a PH cycle try and get Toremefene or Raloxefene. Toremefene is much more effective, and more and more evidence is showing how toxic Nolvadex is.
Just FYI, I don't use any PH/AAS etc.
I just read a lot...

With power comes responsibility :p. Good call Diesel!

Now how exactly did that happen ;)! Cape I initially had the same feeling but it's never to late. As Layne said, I was 45yrs. old my first show and came in the best shape of my life three weeks later for the second.

Besides hard work, dedication, and consistancy-let's not forget what kind of natural freak you really are Flynn! ;) :)
When is the next one/win?:D
I have appreciated the video series very much!! I would not hesitate to buy the DVD, which would be my 1st ever bb'ing DVD. (Pumping Iron doesn't count;))

I agree its a shame that its only every 2 weeks. Its one of the most interesting and motivating series on this website. On top of that layne just seems like a cool, geniunly nice guy. Would love to be able to work with him. I could actually get to where I want to be if I did,:).

Layne, Speaking of that article. Had a quick question for you. In the Cut Diet, the carbs are mostly from veggies with a carb spike every few days. In your contest prep article, you seem to call for measured, but consistent, carbs. Not to put you on the spot here but do you personaly favor one approach over the other? Im currently following the cut diet and feel pretty good but most people I talk to tell me that I would be better served to work in some carbs during the day - brown rice, yams, oatmeal.. I know the article was written a few years back. Just wanted to get your thoughts on this.

not full yet but filling up. I am expecting a big boom after the new year when everyone begins prep.
And I was only half serious about the article costing me money lol. I am very glad it has been so helpful to people. I wrote it well before I started prepping people for money anyway.
