Yesterday I'm doing jerks with fairly light weight, going for 10 reps and emphasizing bar speed. I've got a good little rhythm going when on about the 5th rep, for some reason the bar catches my nose on the way up.
I get the weight racked and of course the first thing is look around to see if anybody saw my polished technique. Then I become aware of the pain.
Fortunately nothing's broken but today it's really sore.
I consider this an advanced technique to increase resistance at the midpoint of the movement, sort of like using bands or chains. Give it a try and let me know how you like it.
