A prostate surgery has been recomended to me - not so much for a prostate problem but for what the urologist calls a bladder neck obstruction, probably something that I was born with that has worsened as I have gotten older. Medications have had limited benefit. The procedure is a TUIP (not the same as TURP). Should help with symtoms (have to pee ALL THE TIME). I'm not concerned with the surgery itself so much as recovery time, i.e., how long until I can weight lift again - I will talk to the urologist about this but I was wondering if anyone else has had this procedure and if so how long until you were able to lift again? Any other side effects?
