Stretch out those legs better before running....stretch the foot one way for the calves...the push the front of the foot down and feel the front stretch out. It works. Might take a while to heat that up though at first. Hang in there.

Thanks Jag !

Batts,
Funny thing is I stretch all the time. :confised: But come to think of it, I may have slacked off last week a bit at stretching as I upped my cardio doing 30 mins in the am and 50-60 mins in the pm.

I have decided to stay home from work today to see if I can't heal this baby up quicker. Staying off my feet may be the only solution for now. The iceyhot really helped last night also.

Thanks for all the well wishes peeps.

I am recovering well. :D
Taking today off of work and resting up is working.
Tomorrow morning is shoulders and I'll attempt some calve work, but will make sure not to aggrivate the shin anymore.
I have to be on my feet alot the rest of the week for work, so I have to be careful about things. I am not scheduling any cardio right now until at least sunday or monday. I can't let this relapse and cause me to be down and out for longer then a few days.

Ok after getting up at 3:45 this morning and catching a 6 a, flight back to Chi_town, I am pooped. :(

I did however have an awsome back/bi/ab Workout today about 11:30 am. Of course the gym was packed and the kiddies were there in full force. I must scare the little bastards as they seemed to get out of my way rather nicely today. LOL

WG pull ups 4 sets (8, 8, 7, 6) These were a bit tougher then normal today.
Narrow grip pull downs 4 sets (12, 10, 8, 8)
Seated cable rows 4 sets (10, 8, 8, 6) New PB last set :D
Bent over DB rows 4 sets (110x8, 110x8, 130x8, 130x10) NEW PB...1st time ever doing 10 reps at 130

incline db curls 4 sets (10, 8, 8, 7)
reverse preacher curls (ez bar) 4 sets (12, 10, 8, 8) Squeazing like a mofo at the top
Hammer curls 3 sets (10, 8, 8)
wrist curls 4 sets (12, 10, 10, 8) New PB last set :D

kneeling rope crunches 5 sets (30, 25, 20, 20, 18)

the roman chair was tied up as were all damn balls.....so that was it for abs. LOL

I decided that if I can shlep all over the country on this shin, I should be able to walk on the treadmill for 10 mins @ 3.5 mph. I think I figured out my shin problem. I think my new running shoes are jsut not the right type for me. After just 10 mins on the treadmill in those shoes, my damn shin ended up hurting like a mofo again....about 30 mins after my WO ended.

So I am still injured, but maybe, just maybe I have figured out what is causing this.

Happy Saturday People !

Maybe I'll try biking tomorrow to see if I can at least do that for cardio until I heal up. :(

I took 3 of the girls who are going to be on my softball team this April to a indoor pitching tunnel so I can work them out and see what I really have talent wise before I head into the draft. My oldest...Vicki and my two assistants daughters Brenna and Kristen. Vicki is looking like the ace of my staff for this coming year. Her velocity is increasing and her accuracy is still deadly even with the extra 5 feet added to the pitching distance this year. I AM SO PROUD of HER. She has nerves of STEEL and just goes out there and pitches. It doesn't matter if the game is on the line or we are winning by 10 runs, she brings 110% ever time she steps on that field.

After the pitching WO......it was off to basketball.
We played a team that is very good and who has by far two of the best players in the league on their team.....but we STILL WON ! My girls played there butts off. I told them that there is NO WAY in a team game like basketball that two players will beat us. We played awsome Defense and pretty much shut down their two best players. One of which we got into faul trouble early. We only won by 2 pts......but it was quite the Victory IMO. Our girls could not believe we beat this team. We scrimmaged against them yesterday for about 20 mins at the end of our practice and they killed us in that scrimmage.

I told our girls......that if they give 110% and have the energy, I know they have......that we can and WILL beat this team...........AND WE DID ! :D

I think they are starting to BELIEVE as much as I do in their talents and abilities. Our parents could not be happier with what they see me doing with their girls. While I correct and instruct them (privately and in practice), I really believe in instilling confidence and finding something that each and every girls does well and telling them about it and making them feel good about themselves.

We KICKED SOME ASS TODAY !

I am off to the gym to do some kind of WO....maybe just some cardio of some kind. My shin is actually feeling much better but it's still a bit sore.

Happy Sunday !

Glad your shins are feeling better Chi. I can relate to your coaching kids in basketball. I loved it when they were young and I was working with them up to 8th grade in AAU league. Its now fun watching my daughter knocking down shots when the guards try to come up the middle for a layup. She had 5 of them the last game. Keep working with them and keep them positive....thats the key to the whole thing and having them work together as a team. Sounds like yours have some good softball talent going too. Great to see kids with so much abilities in different sports.

Thanks Batts. Sounds like you are still having fun with your kids.......that's great !

My oldest is quite the athlete so far. The big thing she has is the mental attitude. My youngest is far from the great athlete, but she gives 100% and is having fun, that's what is important IMO. Sports can really help to teach our kids life's lessons. There is nothing that can do more for a child then achievment and self confidence, even if it's little things they are good at and not a star.

I am bloated as hell from a few days of increased carbs. (friday and saturday) ARrrrrrrrrg.................I feel freaking pregnant. Good thing is I am strong, strong strong from it. LOL

I increased carbs for a few reasons......
1. To help my shin recovery.
2. I felt a slight cold coming on.
3. I was feeling a bit rundown in general, even with a few days of no training. The traveling last week took it's toll on me.

It's amazing how fast my body reacts right now to even a few meals of changing macronutrients. The good thing is I have learned what I have to do to get back on track.

So I figured I'd put that strength to good use. I was not sure what I was going to do at the gym today, but this is what I ended up doing.

Chi's version of a full body WO

Cable flys 3 sets (10, 8, 8)
DB presses 2 sets(8, 6)
incline db curls 3 sets (10, 8, 8)
kickbacks 2 sets (6, 6)
Skulls (ez bar) 2 sets (10, 8) (probably could have done a new PB, but opted not too..damn I should have come to think of it. LOL)
Standing lateral raises 3 sets (10, 8, 8)
Seated bent over lateral raises 3 sets (6, 5, 5)
reverse grip chins 3 sets (12, 10, 8)
Cable tri pulls 2 sets (15, 12)
Seated rows 3 sets (10, 8, 6) New PB last set by 40 lbs
leg press 4 sets (16 plates x 10, 20 plates x 8, 24 plates x 7, 10 plates x 30)
Hack squat calve raises 3 sets (21, 21, 18) (my style)

20 mins stepmill
20 mins treadmill @ 130 bpm.

I went back to my old crosstrainer shoes and had a slight tighness in the shin and it's still sore a bit, but it's fine. I am sure now that it was the new shoes. Those will not be on my feet anytime soon.

Happy Sunday !

Very Carbed up. :D Too much, to be honest.

That WO still kicked my ass.
I am sitting here sore all over, I mean head to toe.

I figured changing things up for a few WO's might do me good. It seems I have been left High and Dry by my trainer. Why, I have no Idea ?

Just for this week, to change things up, I am thinking of lifting again on tuesday, thursday and saturday (full body WO's similar to today's) I'll do just cardio on the other days. I know what I need to continue with nutrition wise, so I'll be fine.

My next cut, I will be probably going with the guys from Protege Nutrition. After the Arnold, I am going to take a week off and just relax. I am going to enjoy the summer, put on some more mass (lean, if I can help it) and worry about cutting again in the late fall.

I am so busy with softball and my own cycling come April that I doubt I'll put on much fat most of the spring and summer. I am planning on doing another Century this year and alot more riding then I did last year. I want to do the MS150, but it's late June and IMO, I'd much rather do one in late August or September, so I have all summer to train for it. I am pretty busy with coaching softball upto late July with tournaments and such. After that I get about 6-7 weeks off before Fallball Travel Team Starts.

In any event, I'll probably ride the Bike Psycho's Century again this year.

No,it's not my deoderant or my cologne for that matter on why John has not gotten back to me since before Christmas.

I am very proud of how I coach the teams I do. I have parents who I coached their kids for Fall Travelball ask me if I could please get their kid on my team for the regular season. I am flattered by these things, but to be honest, for the life of me I can't understand why more coaches don't have a similar philosophy to mine when it comes to these sports and coaching kids at these ages.

No, it's not about the extra carbs......LMAO !
Though, if he saw how they bloated me, I am sure he woul dnot have been happy.

John asked for me to send him some information b4 Xmas. I sent it to him twice and even left him a voicemail message and have not heard back form him. He was suppose to do some tweaking to things and change parts of my routine up.....at least that was the impression he gave me, last time I heard from him.

I don't mean to trash John in any way. He is a very nice guy in real life, but apparently something more important them me has come up. I went with a local guy so I could meet with him face to face and have him kick me in the ass, especially towards the end of this all. That is the part that pisses me off the most........I fell I should have went with Steve's recomendation in the first place........but what the heck.....hindsight is always 20/20. Troponin or Protege will be doing my next cut's nutrition.

I am not sure exactly where I'll end up in just over 4 weeks, but I am giving it my all....be it solo or not.
Ha Ha on the ladies at the Arnold.......I am sure I'll be a good boy :p .....I am ALWAYS GOOD ;)

30 mins stationary bike
+ 15 mins treadmill @ 135 bpm

After work was tanning (naked, of course ;) ).
Two a day cardio sessions start next week
I'll be increasing cardio each week from here on out.

My cardio plan for next week (not this week) is as follows:

Mon: 30 mins am cardio + 45 mins pm cardio
Tues: 60 mins pm cardio
wed: 45 mins am cardio + 30 min pm cardio (no lifting on wed, so extra cardio)
thurs: 30 mins am cardio + 45 mins pm cardio
Fri: 45 mins pm cardio (my Friday Wo is too long to get in enough cardio to even bother IMO..at least this far out.)
Sat: 60 mins cardio.....preferably am
Sunday: rest

2:45 of am cardio and 3:45 of pm cardio

I am debating if I should do more AM cardio the last 3 weeks and do all my lifting in the PM.

Any thoughts ? (Mr. S or anyone for that matter. LOL)

Let me see if I can remember yesterday's WO....Hmmmmmmm ?

Full body WO Chi style ;)
incline db presses 2 sets (8, 8)
cable flys 2 sets (10, 8)
standing rows 2 sets (10, 10)
squats 3 sets (10, 8, 6)
hack squat calve raises (my style) 2 sets (21, 21)
reverse preacher curls 2 sets (10, 8)
hammer curls 2 sets (8, 8)
Narrow grip pull downs 2 sets (12, 10)
cable pull downs 3 sets (20, 15, 15)
reverse grip chins 2 sets (12, 10)

+ 30 mins stationary bike (am)

After work was tough..........I did not eat enough carbs during the day and cals were a bit low. With intensity being what it has been lately........I really need to keep track better.

25 mins stepmill + 25 mins treadmill @130 bpm

The last mins on the treadmill was murder. I got cold and started feeling like **** again. I mean I could bearly get showered, dressed and drive myself home.....kinda wiped out. In the locker room I shot down 50 grams of whey.but it did nto seem to help much. Once home I had some chicken fajita meat and 3 tortillas...I figured I better get some carbs into me quick. A handful of trail mix later...and I was off to bed.

I am sleeping like **** lately. I guess this is all part of what many people go through. Maybe guys like me jsut have a harder time with our bodies revolting to what we are trying to make it do ? Overall, I can feel myself aching more, sleeping like crap and being more crabby. The drained feeling I got again yesterday was NOT FUN. It was almost scary to be quite honest. For now I am going to make sure my nutrition(especially carbs) is enough to fuel the volume and intensity of my WO's and cardio.....I think I am close to finding the fine line I need to walk with that and achieve what I need too.

This morning after what was not a good night's rest, but better then I have had the last 3-4 nights........I felt much better. Still like crap, but better......ROFLMAO.

I am still dropping weight from the bloat a few day back......but the real surprise was not the weight drop of 2 lbs in a day.......but rather the BF% reading I got on my tanita scale. I have a better one that has always given me consistant readings. My last 3 to 4 readings (about 1.5 to 2 weeks ago) were in the 9.9 to 10.2 range.....which I still feel is about 2% off from reality.

Remember when I started this, my scale told me about 15% but I felt I was more like 17% BF. In any event, while I have a goal to achieve......the exact BF% I really could care less about. What I know is that I have consistantly drop my BF%.

This morning I got a huge surprise......first reading 7.9%........oof course I have to take it 3 more times to be sure.......8.2%, 8.2%, 8.1%. Again.......I still feel this is about 2% lower then what I actually am. So I pull out my omron caliper and quickly do all the caliper measurments.....I must have screwed up because it told me 5.9% BF which I know there is NO WAY in HELL I am that close too............I'd be ripped and I am not yet.
I had no time to redo it, so I will check it again probably this weekend on the caliper.

So even though I am feeling like ****, sleeping like crap and overall miserable.........I must be doing something right. :D (reminds me of that country song....;) ;) ) According to my scale........a 7% drop in BF ! Not bad ?

AM : 30 mins stationary bike + 12 mins treadmill @ 125 bpm

PM : 25 mins stepmill + 25 mins treadmill @ 135 bpm

While I got a bit cold at the end of this.....I did not feel anywhere near as bad as I did yesterday. I guess the adjustment to my nutrition was good today? :D

a bonus for all my thread readers (jk)
Tonight's dinner: 5 oz salmon + 3 cups of brocolli with a flax oil and lemon juice drizzle.

Tomorrow is another FB WO and 45 mins cardio in the am......and if my hotel I am staying at tomorrow night has a treadmill or it's not too cold outside.......I'll get some cardio in the pm if I can. That's the funny thing.......not shredded yet......but I am working on it. Upper body shaping up nicely.....veins this non-vascular man has never seen are showing very well. Shoulders (starting to shred nicely) and arms looking pretty good, if I say so myself. Lower ab fat is being extreamly stubborn, my guess is that that will be my worst area. Upper hammie area and butt getting much better, but still not where I want them to be.

I got 4 weeks to try and get as close as I can to my goal.

I'll be postintg pics the week of the Arnold.....probably the day before I leave for Columbus. LOL Keep in mind I am not going to be anywhere near contest shape...at least by my standards......but I am still proud of my accomplishment here.

I've actually decided to sodium load, water deplete and all.....to give myself every advantage to look half way decent. ;) The next 4 weeks are surely going to be tourtue.

The funny thing is as of tonight I am only down 4 lbs from when I started this all. I do expect to come into the Arnold at about 210 is my guess. Hey Pete,

Why not take a little caffeine in the AM and hit the weights, then do cardio in the PM? You will have gotten the hard stuff out of the way and off your mind, so at least psychologically, you are in better shape.

But, just an opinion.

Great progress.

Mr. Someday

Hey Chi...sorry I missed your question....been slammed at work lately and haven't been on much.

As far as your cardio at this point, it looks good to me considering you are not doing a show. When I got down to those last few weeks, I shortened up my lifting and increased my cardio.....I mean...there is only so much the human body can do. You aren't going to suddenly drop 5 pounds of muscle the last few weeks because you focus on the cardio first...weights second.

I wouldn't suggest sodium loading for a social gathering. Unless you are already down in that 5% area or so, it probably won't have the effect you are hoping for. IMO, run some Taraxatone starting about 5 days out and keep your water high....that should do the trick in a safe and simple manner.

Looking forward to seeing the final results....getting me motivated to stay on track for my annual spring cutting. Have to be sporting better than a 1-pack at the beach this summer!:D

But, just an opinion.

Thanks Steve ! Yeah, I guess the sodium loading was a bit much ? LOL.........but I still want to drop as much water as I can. I may try the taraxatone and some dandeline root.

I may lighten weight volume the last 2 weeks, not just the week of the Arnold. I am going to see how I feel, I guess..but yes....cardio will be the main focus these last few weeks.

Tonight's madness:

25 mins stepmill + 20 mins treadmill @ 130 bpm
+ 20 mins Naked Tanning in a standup. :)

Of course, my plan for the next few weeks is going to have to be a bit flexible.........work travel is bound to happen. In fact, I found out today, I am going to Boaz, Alabama on tuesday coming home on wednesday..........looks like my WO week this week will start on sunday and look something like this........

This coming week
Sun: lift + 30 mins cardio am + 45 mins cardio pm
Mon: lift + 30 mins cardio am + 45 mins cardio pm
Tues: 30 mins am cardio before heading to the airport and maybe some cardio at the hotel in the PM.
wed: 45 mins cardio pm after I get back home
Thurs: lift + 30 mins cardio am + 45 mins cardio pm
Fri: lift + 30 mins cardio am + 60 mins cardio pm
Sat: 45 mins cardio am + 45 mins cardio pm

I am hoping for waist to go to 34 or below by the end of this. I have maintained my size extremely well IMO and cut a good % of BF. 6-7% BF drop..........

OK, according to my scale I was about 15% at the start of this...let's crunch the numbers......LOL

If I was 15% at the start at 228, I had a....
... lbm of 193.8 and BF of 34.2 lbs

If I am 10% now at 222 lbs, I have a......

If I use my last BF reading of 8-9%...say 9%(at 222 lbs), I have a.......

Skulls using ezbar 2 sets (8, 8)

seated bent over lateral raises 3 sets (6, 6, 5)

Leg press 2 sets (20, 15)
leg ext 3 sets (8, 6, 6)

30 mins treadmil @ 135 bpm + 15 mins stationary bike doing 2 min intervals :D

Off to watch my yougest play bball at 1pm and then at 4pm I coach my oldest daughter's team. Hopefully we'll continue to play well.

I am going to see if I can drag my ass to the gym tonight for some kind of cardio. :( This is getting extremely taxing and tough mentally now also.

Anyone have any words of encouragement or kicks in the ass to keep me going.....please let them rip ! LOL

Fitty asked me today on the phone what I was wearing to the Arnold for "Meet the Moderators"......I told him I am probably wearing a bodybuilding.com tank top and a pair of shorts. I need to show off some of my work from these last months......and my shoulders aren't too shabby IMO......and let's not forget those calves.......who knows maybe mom24boys will want a close up of my calves. ;)

I am off to the gym in about 25 mins for my PM cardio. Of course the family thinks I am totaly insane with all of this

Jag,
You forget I already have the green tights. LMAO.

Pete, you looked damned good when we met last week bro. You did a hell of a job. Mine's still in its infancy right now. I do feel better now with the thyroid replacement. Dunno, but after this CKD cycle it's done for me. I've got a doc at university that wants to set me up on a diet. I'm going to let him have a crack at it. The tomatoes are ripening nice in the hothouse and I'm tired of broccoli, oils of any type and meat!! I could live on salads and chicken breasts if I had fresh vine ripened tomatoes all year long, lol!!

I am convinced guys like me just are not meant to have small waists. That's ok, I have other Endearing features. :p LOL.

Chest while it's down a few inches, still has some mass to it. And while I hate the thought of 16's as a number, I still have good size arms IMO. My tris have always been good size....and everyone knows if you want the look of big arms, you gotta work those tris, not just the bis.

I think Bob Chic may just inch me out in our bi posedown, but I am still willing to try and dethrown him as the bb.com bi champion. LOL

This Arnold Classic I am sure will be A BLAST !

Mentally this is the toughest thing I have ever done. But it is worth every minute of cardio, every chicken breast, every egg, every cup of oatmeal I have endured. Let me preface this with.... I did not want to go to the gym tonight. I wanted to eat a nice steak (a well marbled Ribeye) and drink wine all night. Of course my brain kicked in and I hit the gym and skipped the wine and the steak.....

Nothing to eventful.....I probably should have done more.......but..........all I could muster up was........

2 sets of reverse grip pull ups
20 mins stepmill
20 mins treadmill

After traveling and working a nice 14 hr day.......I had talapia with broccoli for dinner before heading back to the hotel, watching some tv to unwind.......then headed to the Hotel Gym (if you want to call a room witha stepper, treadmill and bike a gym?).

I simply did 60 mins of treadmill at 125 bpm. :)

Nice work, Pan Man. Feeling carb depleted at all, these days?

jag

Pretty much feel that way every day.

Not too bad though as I upped cals a few weeks back to sustain this training and all this cardio I am doing. My cals are approx 3000 cals on training days and 2800 on non-training days. I upped carbs bit ......but pretty much adhear to a 50P/30C/20F diet at the moment.

Tomorrow's WO is always a killer....back/bis and abs ........damn WO usually takes me 1 hr and 10 mins to complete.....not counting cardio........and I need to get in 45 mins of cardio in the AM and 45 mins in the PM.
Because of my travels and how it effected my cardio on wed (I did none) I have to do two-a-days for cardio this weekend for one day.......probably saturday. :(

I am freaking starving and I am eating 3000 cals a day. How crazy is that ? The longer I do this the hungrier I seem to be getting.

That's what happens when you're metabolism is stoked - so that is a good thing!

BTW, nice work on the weight loss Chi. When you do hit your goal, keep in mind that you are at an ideal time to add quality mass as you will see an anabolic rebound for the 4 weeks after dieting. Take advantage of it!

Mr. S,
Yeah I know and that part I actually like. The tough part is it's getting harder to control my eating urges. I am really digging deep for these last few weeks. If I listen to that little devil on my shoulder....the little bastard is telling me to eat the house. LOL I have my Taraxatone ready to go I am starting to drown myself next week and overall, I think my plan is solid ! Now, if I can just stay in town these net few weeks so my cardio is not interrupted, I'll be fine.

Hib and ms_mac,
Thank you for the kind comments. ;)
***Chi blushes*** (yes, that is possible.....;) :p )

I think either next week or the week after I will attempt 100lb DB walking lunges  . I figure it will be a crowning jewel in this program I have been on. My strength is great, I have maintained most of my mass and even gained some in a few areas........but most importantly I've dropped the BF% rather nicely.

This weekend is busy busy busy.

This coming week's cardio is planned as such.......

Gun,
Thanks, my brother. I am not really carb cycling per say, but I am playing with carbs a bit as I need too. How's your carb cycling going ?I can't say I'm enjoying it, but bottom line is working for me so I'm sticking with it until I reach my goal of 9 or 10%.

This coming week's cardio is planned as such.......

Mon: lift + 30 mins cardio am + 60 mins cardio pm
Tues: lift + 30 mins cardio am + 60 mins cardio pm
Wed: 60 hr cardio am + 45 mins pm
Thurs: lift + 30 mins cardio am + 60 mins cardio pm
Fri: lift + 30 mins cardio am + 60 mins cardio pm
Sat: 60 mins cardio am + 45 mins cardio pm
Sun: 60 mins of am cardio

This should surely KILL ME  ;).
Is this for real? LOL It would surely kill me, good luck with it, I tip my hat to anyone who can do that much cardio. Have a good one....

This is really starting to suck. The being hungry I MEAN ALL THE TIME......REALLY SUX. LOL The aches and pains of the gym and all this cardio haven't been too bad.......but it's definately starting to get worse.

Thanks Jag ! :)

Gator,
You bitch ! Where have you been ?
Thanks for the kind words my brother...but you best be getting your ass back in the mix soon. ;)

I did not do two cardio sessions yesterday, I was jsut way too busy. I may try to get two in today, but I'll have to see. I am about to head to the gym for my am cardio....just finishing up my coffee and waiting for my Lipo 6 to kick in......LMAO ;)

You all have a wonderful Day !

Oh.......basketball update: The girls played awsome yesterday.....all of them. we won by 8 points. The whole team wishes we had another 10 games to play instead of today being our last game before the Allstar Weekend. Allstar weekend is always the weekend of the Arnold Classic, so I will not be at this year's either :(.

After getting our asses kicked last week (not really, I think we only lost by 6 or so) by a team that had 3 girls (out of 8) that were 5-6 inches taller then my tallest player, I told my girls to bring their energy and their smiles to this weekend's games........well yesterday they did. They were all smiles and a bundle of energy. By far the best passing and offensive game they have played so far this year.

Off to the gym.....ya'll be good ! ;)

02-12-2006, 08:54 AM
Yep...even the tall teams are subject to gettin their butts kicked...so if they have the attitude and the energy...they can beat them. Hard to do...but it can be done. My oldest daughters Varsity team got beat in the semi-final round Friday nite in sectional. They sure gave them a fight for it though. Chels had 5 awesome blocked shots :) She likes the short teams...lol. Wait til your girls get into high school basketball....OMG. The intensity is just way to much on this guy here. Father-in-law left the gym early...think he was ready to kill the referee....lol.

LMAO about the FIL Batts. LOL

Yeah, we beat two other taller teams already this year, but this last one was just too much height to overcome in hind sight. I get the girls so pumped up before the games that they believe they could beat a PRO team when they take the floor.

2 sets of reverse grip chins (15, 12)

Errands, Errands and more Errands..........now it's off to coach our last basketball game of the regular season. :)

Still deciding if I am going to rest tonight or hit the gym for another 45 mins of cardio later tonight.

Hmmmmmmmmm.......decisions, decisions. LOL

I know I'll be at the gym doing cardio, actually........I HAVE NO CHOICE, DAMN IT. LOL

...........instead of going to the gym like a good boy.........I messed up.

I ended up having a few glasses of wine (4, I think  ) and skipping my last 2 meals and eating some(about a 1/4 of the bag) flaxseed chips (from trader Joe's).

I woke up dehydrated and feeling like ****.......

I still was at the gym this morning by 6am, got my full WO in and even did my planned 45 mins of cardio.

Chest/tris/calves

Dips 4 sets (15, 12, 12, 10)
flat bench DB presses 3 sets (10, 8, 8)
incline smith machine presses 3 sets (10, 10, 8)
Flat smith machine presses (slow and super slow on the down) 3 sets (8, 6, 6)

Kick backs 2 sets (8, 8)
cable tri ext 4 sets (12, 10, 8, 8)
skulls (ezbar) 3 sets (8, 8, 7)

hack squat calve raises (my style) 3 sets (21, 18, 18)
leg press calve raises 3 sets (20, 20, 15)
rotoray calve machine 2 sets (12, 10)

+ 45 mins treadmill @ 125 bpm :)

By the time I got to work......I felt like crap and realized this was not going to be a day I could concentrate on work as bad as I was feeling.

So.............I took a 1/2 sick day and left really early. LOL

I am home now and about to take a nap before eating meal 4 and heading to the gym later.......followed by some Naked tanning ;).

Sorry folks, but I had a horrible weekend.

1. No internet access. Damn network card on my laptop took a puke.

2. Worked waaaaaaaaay too much. Late into friday night, all day saturday and then.......22 hrs on Sunday into Monday.

3. Only was able to get in my cardio on Friday night for 1 hr and 30 mins on saturday morning.

4. Nutrition went to **** on sunday night and monday, as I was extreamly stressed and feeling like ****........lived on sugar and coffee until 7 am monday morning.

5. Slept 1 hr monday morning before getting two phone calls from a work colleague and my boss......then the customer........calling me into a meeting (immediately).
So I worked 22 hrs....slept 1......had to get up go to work.........then drive 2.5 hrs back to DC to catch a flight home. I was a zombie..........I had a doctor's appointment to go to and then a softball board meeting until 10:30 at night. Talk about smoked with nothing left......that is/was me. :(

6. My position with my company seems to be changing reather quickly and I am not sure I like where it is headed.
The company is in the middle of major transition and potential growth.........but with this comes much uncertanty.

7. My working relationship with my brother (who is my boss) is very stressed right now. I had just a horrible meeting with him today about our current project and how we need to do things moving forward.

While I have severly disappointed myself with my nutrition and dedication these last few days and probably won't come into the Arnold as cut as I would like......at all......I am still forging forward.

I got in 1 hr of cardio (25 mins stepmill + 35 mins treadmill) after work tonight and hit the tanning booth.

Tomorrow is chest/tris/calves with as much cardio as I have time for.

I have to get back on track and at least try and salvage what I can of this cut.

As you may all be able to tell...my spirits are a bit low right now. Nothing a few more PB's can't change. LOL

Hopefully your Tuesday was better then my last 5 days ?

Fri: legs and abs

sun: back/bis/ abs
Mon : rest
tues:Full body WO
wed:Full body WO

Cardiowill be very reduced from my original plan for this week.

Probably 30 mins post lifting (except for leg day) and 30-60 mins in the evenings.

I am backing off from trying to come in so dry and cut.
I have come a long way and reduced BF by a very significant amount. I am proud of my accomplishment and I think I look pretty damn good. LOL :) I am probably the strongest I have ever been (for most lifts) and in the best shape of my life.

I received a trophy this morning as did Fitty. Brother Greenfeather was kind enough to present us with these.

Fitty's was in recognition of his 500 lb bench press.

Mine was a bodybuilding trophy in recognition of being "The Mod with the Bod".

Met some great people and had a blast.

You all don't want to know what my scale told me this morning. scary especially that I have Fitty to eat and drink with for another day. LOL Thank god, I'll drop most of this water weight rather quickly.

Last night Fitty and I over a few beers..........well I had a few.........Fitty was putting on a clinic again......were discussing what program I should do next. It's between HST or GVT. I have done quite a few GVT's over the year, but never an HST program. Jury is still out...do I want more full body routines of HST or just high rep of GVT ? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm decisions decisions.

Off to pick up Fitty.......I think our livers are about to fail and tonight should finish them off. LMAO

Hey think of it this way...your really working those bi's out over those beers...lol. It was great to see ya there this year. You look great. The difference from when we met you the first time to now is totally awsome. You should be very proud and happy with what you have accomplished. Pam even made a comment on how great you looked. I think next year we want to go out with you all Saturday nite. We already had prior commitments this time with no kids this year (man was that nice for a change), but next year we want to hang out downtown afterwards. We didn't get out of the Center until after 7pm anyways watching the Powerlifting competition. That was incredible to watch. Catch ya later....have pics to download and post.

Ok..let me preface these pics with the real story.

On Friday, I go up to Bob Cic and shoot the ****.
I ask Bob if he is ready for our 2nd annual Bicep Posedown.

He responds with..."Pete I have training all year for this"

Seriously.....I about pissed my pants when he said that. We chatted for a few mins and I let him get back to greeting people. Bob Cic is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Alot of the Pros are cool..But BOB is just downright AWSOME. He takes the time to get to know people and have some genuine fun with them. He enjoys life.

I BEAT BOB..Well according to the Main Judge. ;)
Bob looks over at Fitty after Fitty takes the pic and asks.."Well, did I win"
Fitty - "Sorry Bob, I think Pete edged you out this year, but it was close"
Bob - "Damn....I thought I'd have him for sure this year again"
Fitty - " You know those damn judges

This year Nuc got in on the bicep posedown and Fitty even did a Most Muscular posedown with Bob, but asked me not to post the pic. LOL

This Pic took all the brashness I could muster up.

Jay Cutler was in someone else's booth, obviously taking a break from working the booth he was in. He was surounded by probably 6 guys........all big monster types. This was my que.........

......it was time to just barge in that booth and say helllo to Jay, shoot the **** for a minute and take a pic with who is undoubtably one of the best pro's these past recent years.

So I lean into the booth and try and get Jay's attention. He can't hear me because of the gooofs surrounding him. So I just barge in there interupt the group talking to him and say....."Jay, brother, I am a huge fan. Would you mind if I get a pic with you" He looks at me like I am nutz at first..probably because I just barge into this private area of a booth. He says sure leaves the group to come and take a pic with THE ONE, THE ONLY CHI_TOWN. LMAO

Jay is class act and it was awsome of him to take the time for a fan like myself. Most people wouldn't even think of trying to get a pic with him the way I did. Me, I could care less.....I wanted a pic with one of my recent hero's in the sport and I GOT IT. :D:D

You have to keep that bug. You have no idea how many people want to go, but won't make it a priority. In fact, I have one friend who was going to come the last 3 years and never made it. (that's right I am holding up 3 fingers ;) )

Make reservations early and get those finals tickets as soon as they go on sale. I bought mine back in July and only got decent seats. I am going to make my hotel reservations in downtown Columbus as soon as they'll let me. LOL

For next year, we are going to try and buy all the finals tickets together to try and get seats together for the group from bb.com.

Anything to do with this one would be a problem, you just had to be there fitty. Is there an asylum close to that bar by chance? She was about 4 cans shy of a 6 pack bro, I **** you not!!

I'm not averse to breaking out the restraints or other fun devices! :D M and I have started work on the write up for the you know what! :D

Chi, M said she's glad that you have the kook magnet now, she was tired of having it, lol!!

Restraints can be fun !

So, are we talking about handcuffs, bedsheets across the chest & cloths on your wrists and ankles tied to a gurney, or leather ones? You mods are always on the cutting edge.

You know it :D

To bad they don't sell the pics they take at intersections with the camaras they have mounted thruout the city. Would be just like going to the amumsment park where you pick up your pic after your rollercoaster ride. I am sure that is the same expression that Chi and Powells had on their faces! :D Tickets to the Arnold Expo-$10....10 beers at the last stop-$20...The fun drive on the way to the next bar.....Priceless!
