I am 22 163 lbs and 5'8. I have been training for 4 years. I am prepping for a show sometime next spring. I have been l playing around with my diet so far I have dropped 12 lbs fairly easily. Now I am beginning to cut out my milk products. I have trained w/ guys the entire time, they tend to shed a little different than we do. I have followed their advice it got me this far, but a little female advice would be greatly apprechiated. I already know about the generals, I am trying to find better specifics. I will do what ever it takes, all I need is direction.

Hi amazonang. For startes you coulc probably begin a journal in the Journal Forum. Congrats on your success so far. What is your bodyfat percentage and what is the contest date? Most people diet for 12 weeks and some women up to 16 and 20, depending on your present condition. Dairy will not necessarily have to be eliminated until about 8-12 week out, unless you just don't care for it.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have a date in mind, i am just seeing how I respond right now. Around March most likely. I'd say that I'm about 18% I just cut out the lactose bec/ I see an almost instantaneous effect, and I'd rather choose better fats. Maybe it's too soon, but I am also doing 1 meal replacement / day. Rest is from whole foods. Do you have any cardio tricks you do? Thanks, Amazon

Personally, I do high-intensity interval cardio 30 minutes, 4 times per week starting at week 12 or 10. I did a journal in the journalling section for my last 2 contests preps. You might have to search for the posts. I am currently doing a bulking cycle and journaling that, also. Let me know if you have any other questions and good luck!
