Well i wanted to start this for everyone who is thinking of competing or who is training and preparing for an up and coming event!!
I want everyone to write about their goals and plans and if needed offer advice from newbies right through to masters!!
There can be questions asked if there is anything you need to know
also pictures and progress updates!!
I was just reading through the journals and was trying to remember who was competing etc so i can have a look at there plans and progress, so i figured if its all in one place then we all have a reference to look at and we can see people at different stages of preperation!!
well hope you find this a useful tool :)
Good luck to everyone and TRAIN HARD :D

Good luck to you also, Back2zero!
I'll probably compete in May and June of 2006. I need to check with my trainer tomorrow and I'll keep you guys updated. Figure for me. I qualify for Masters (very much so! ) but sometimes I just throw myself into the Open class. Hell's bells. LOL We'll see. . .

im in two minds on which section i want to enter. I think i will just wait and see how my body looks a little closer to the time!! I will prob make that decision about 2-3 months out. I know i dont want to do fitness cause i dont want to have to do a routine!!!
Im thinking it will prob be figure because it may take a few years of training to get good enough to do physique!!!

It's fun when you have coordination. I have none! I once tried the Tae Bo thing and the moves are fine ... SEPARATELY ... but when the teacher starts going fast and combining different moves, and you're supposed to switch at the sound of his voice ... I get all screwed up :D It's really not in my blood.

i have pretty good co-ordination but its just extra work and along with the training and working full time for the first time in my life as a qualified physio and my part time promotional work and then preparing to go overseas i really dont think i have an extra min to work on a routine as well as posing etc!!

I'm hoping to compete next spring in bodybuilding. Anyone else?
Entering open lightweights and masters. I'm a natural bodybuilder, but this contest won't be drug-tested.
Height: 5' 4"
Current weight: 128
Bodyfat: 13-15%
Goals: Add size to my arms and shoulders. When I can barely see veins in my lower abs and my lower quads, I'll know I'm in good condition.
