Hi, i'm Bryce and i've made the decision that i'd like to compete some time in the next year, giving myself plenty of time to figure out everything that goes along with bodybuilding on the stage. I've read through Layne Norton's article and it answered alot of questions for me. I guess what I'm looking for is some encouragement, or stories of others like me, and an honest evaluation by someone unbiased (aka not my friends and family).
I'll post some pictures soon, but stats as of now are
193 lbs.

seems like a very friendly community here from reading around, makes me feel comfortable :)

i say go for it just dont let dieting consume everything you do. I thought id be in no shape for contest a year ago but if you give yourself pretty of time to diet down you'll be fine.

Hey whats up....I'd first recommend picking a show and date. You have decided that you would like to compete. Now go the extra step and find that show. I found that it is very to procrostinate w/ shows....year after year can pass by and your still sitting in the crowd.
You look to have a great base. You should go w/ a nice long/slow cut...and you'll be surprised how sick you can look. If you have the funds, employ the ne services of a contest prep advisor such as Layne, Dr. Joe, etc. I know Layne has made a huge difference for me. A great transformation you may want to check out is Jrich. If you browse through a few pages in this contest prep section you will find his thread....unbelievable transformation.
I will be honest w/ you. Prepping for a show is the most difficult thing that most of us encounter. However it is also one of the most rewarding. You will learn so much about yourself...and in the end you will be one shredded mofo...So again, Pick that contest!!!!

I agree Joe Rich had an amazing transformation, but Blahzay don't sell yourself short...what you did was INCREDIBLE too. So yea, check out Blahzay's thread too.

good stuff i want to compete one day as a junior i only been training solid for around a year now so i dont have a solid enough base in my opinion...
you have a solid base just gotta bring that back up a bit for the taper unfortunatley you havnet been blessed wiht narrow hips but its all the way you present what you got...
185 is a solid base for your height you should look awesome cut down...
