About i month ago i hurt my shoulder in a football game. i jammed my arm upwards into my shoulder diving to block a kick i continued to play the rest of the season which went about a month more. Its about a little over a month later from when i hurt it and it still hurts. Its not as bad as it was at first but it definitely isn't anywhere near 100%. It hurts a lot bench pressing and other workouts that use my shoulder. Does anyone have any suggestions on what it might be and what i could do for it. Thanks

you should see what your school's trainer says, does your shoulder feel loose at all? Like it kind of hangs a little more than you're used to ?

This happened to both of my shoulders man, played football all throughout high school, was a noseguard, the shoulder feels like it comes out of socket a little right? You most likely did some damage to the labrum. A lot of people on here will try to tell you that the problem is with the rotator cuff but at your age, and considering the type of injury you recieved, it is most likely a labrum injury, meaning it is a possible SLAP tear or Bankart tear. These injuries can either give you a lot of problems or not. I had suffered one my first game my freshman year of high school on a kickoff, and it hurt for like a few days after that but the pain went away, but after that the shoulder was more prone to sort of partially coming out of socket again (subluxation is the technical term), but it never gave me any real problems with lifting or Football until like 6 years after, same deal with my other shoulder. The problems I have now with my shoulders I think are a combination of the subluxations I got in Football and not lifting smart.
