Xanthum gum = polysaccharide formed from the fermentation of glucose/sucrose from corn sugar.

gaur gum = a polysaccharide derived from the ground hull of gaur beans.

I don't want to hijack this thread...just a quick question. Can anyone tell me a few places where I can pick up xantham gum or gaur gum?? Thanks.

health food stores generally have it. i've also found it at publix.

I have heard in can cause intestinal distress. Anyone experience this?
