View Full Version : 8 Weeks Cutting

Hey. I've been cutting for 6.5 weeks. After I finish my 6th week, I want to do the last week like I'm getting ready for a show, just for the hell out it. I've went down from 176 lb to 161 lb, and I've lost probably around 20-25% of my bodyfat (percent OF, not just percent) so I'm around 10-11% (according to the handheld reader).

I was wondering how to sodium load/unload and such.

I'm going to keep dieting for another 4 weeks after. But I'm gonna have 2 high carb days a week, as well as have carbs 1 hour before & after workouts. But thats besides the point, I was just pointing out my entire scheme.

But if someone experienced could explain how the pre-contest preped with sodium loading I would appreciate it.

Well first I'd say to read the Layne Norton sticky at the top of this forum, and second I'd say you should look for a show! Why diet with no chance at hardware? Doesn't hurt to look. Remember that everyone has to start somewhere.

Hey I just found that article after I posted...

I'm in a good situation because my friend, winner of teen division (http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/2007abanatural.htm), put me on the diet and I have him to help me.

But about a show, I would like to but I know I'm not there yet.
All my bodybuilding friends say I have the good striations and lines, but I don't think I'm big enough yet.
After I'm done with this diet, I'm going to bulk up, hopefully to around 190 by the end of May.
Then I'm gonna cut again, if I want to do a show.
Then if I like the results I'll do a show.
