View Full Version : More Cardio or More Weight Training

I have around 65 lbs to lose. I have been doing about 35 -45 minutes cardio and another 45 minutes of weight training. Should I be doing more cardio or more weight training?

How many days a week are you doing this? I really wouldn't do any more of either. That should be plenty. Focus on your diet and continue your current gym routine. You should see results.

I usually do 4 days of cardio and 3 days of weight training.

I'd do your cardio after your weights, and limit it to 20 min at a high intensity. Then on non-weight training days, you can do longer cardio, eg. 40-50 min. I suggest not going over 3 hours of cardio per week. Be sure to take 1 day off both cardio and lifting per week.
