I'm a little bewildered. I've tried just about every powder mentioned in this thread over the years. Spend the extra money, get taste and performance: Beverly Ultimate Muscle Protein or Beverly Muscle Provider (chocolate flavors). I use both for pre/post. Mix with skim milk and it's just ridiculous tasting, not to mention it's the highest rated protein on this site performance-wise.

On a side note, I received a free sample of ON's Platinum HydroBuilder (chocolate flavor). That stuff is up there with the best of them, taste wise at least. Didn't have enough to feel any true effectiveness but it is also rated very highly on this site.

Lean dessert is yum, and super thick - but they are VERY sweet and a bit sickly to drink as your regular shake (for me anyway). The banana one has a really synthetic taste (exactly like a Banana PaddlePop if anyone else used to have those as a kid!)...

But, because they're so thick/sweet I think they work great for making protein pancakes, cookies and ice-cream. The Choc Coconut one blended with cottage cheese makes a delish thick pudding, that you can also freeze and it doesn't turn totally rock hard, which is nice.

The Cinammon Roll, and the Vanilla make pancakes pretty simple. I throw blueberries into the vanilla batter and make short stacks, topped with protein ice-cream. Very. Tasty! :)

The following are the powders I have tried in order of most favourite to least.

1) Allmax Isoflex - Chocolate Peanut Butter (Favourite!)

2) Trutein - Chocolate Covered Banana tied with Combat Powder Banana

3) XF - Cinnamon Roll - I guess I just had too high expectations (I like it but based on the feedback from this forum, I didnt like it as much as I hoped. I have only had it in oatmeal)

4) Myofusion - Chocolate (Not crazy about the taste, I do like the thicker consistency)

5) ON Chocolate

My vote for the best tasting Protein powder that easily mixes with water would definitely have to be Myofusion. If you're taking additional supplements such as BCAA's then you want something thats going to overpower the dusty taste. For me Myofusion covers up the L-Glutamine dust taste and Chocolate Peanut Butter is delicious!

I have always used either ON or dymatize and they are ok. Dymatize is probably a bit better but I like the ON platinum velocity vanilla. Now to the story.

I went to my mom's apartment after the gym and was helping her move from the house she had rented. She had the Allmax Isoflex peanut butter chocolate that someone suggested she use (she is almost 60 and only weighs 100 pounds). I didn't have time to run home and needed some protein so I was thinking "what the hell, i'll try this crap protein". I had never heard of the brand so I was expecting it to taste like ****. I mixed it with some water and tasted it and it was amazing. My mom didn't like it much but she hasn't tried other protein brands like I have. I will be buying a tub of the peanut butter chocolate soon. This has also spurred my interest to deviate more from ON and try other brands and flavors. Most of the ON stuff I have tried aside from velocity vanilla does not taste very good.

Chocolate is always my favorite for a plain old shake! It mixes very well with water,,it's rich and creamy like chocolate milk. No chalky aftertaste!

Just got a tub of Optimum Nutrition Extreme Milk Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Cream protein powder. I mix both with fat free milk and the Extreme Milk Chocolate is the best tasting protein powder that I have ever tried. The Vanilla isn't as tasty as the chocolate but is much better tasting that the other protein powders that I have tried. I also just mix it with a spoon and both mix very well.

I'm using BPI Super Pro cookies and cream right now and its pretty damn good. Requires an extra 10 secs of shaking to mix it up compared to other powders I've used. i'm mixing it with a lot of different stuff, gatorade (grape or orange sounds gross but it isnt at all) water, milk, cranberry and apple juice too. Usually get boring vanilla but they were out so I tried this instead.

Protein on it's own with water/milk I guess any of these (On 100% Gold/hydrowhey-myofusion-syntha6) although taste is subjective.
so far from my experience, hydrowhey tastes REALLY good (I only use this post workout for it's convenience), myofusion/syntha6 taste even better although if I'm scooping these it'll be in some sort of sludge/fluff and I have a lot of flavors to choose from and they all taste good.
Banana perfection (myofusion) and syntha6's strawberry being my favourite both so far, also hydrowhey's strawberry is outstanding taste for it's profile (vanilla/cookies and cream are also pretty good and taste just as you would imagine) .

Having tried Vital strength's Total and ripped proteins-designer whey protein and some others I can't remember I'd say the ones listed above are MUCH better in both profile and taste. Also of course from top notch companies (although some would disagree when it comes to BSN)

I've recently found a supplement line that is amazing. Thought I'd share what I've found. It's called AtLarge Nutrition. Apparently, they are a small company, I can't find them in any stores, but they sale their supplements at atlargenutrition.com. I've done some research on them. Their protein (Nitrean and Nitrean+) have been voted the best protein powder on the market by Men's Health for 4 years in a row. Their protein powder is a combination of whey, egg, and casein proteins, and has barely any sugars. It tastes great, mixes easily, and has given me results I've never seen. Hands down, I wouldn't switch point blank.

i have always been a fan of gaspari's intrapro (I'm guessing it tastes like myofusion). the reason i like it is because the consistency is much thicker when compared to other proteins such as ON, dramatize, etc so even when mixing it with water it has the consistency of like a milk shake. It doesn't hurt that the taste is also really good.

Keep in mind I have only tried like 4 or 5 brands, but Muscle & Strength's ISOFuel is a very good brand for taste. Currently, I am on Coconut. I thought, that might be weird, but it is awesome! It's like having a coconut milk shake. I take 2 scoops post workout with 8-10 oz. and it is kinda thick but smooth and tasty. That is my opinion.

ON's Double chocolate, I think is what they call it, is the best tasting of the many flavors that I have tried. It is the only one that I have found that really taste like a chocolate milk shake even when mixed with H2O. I have tried the ON's gold standard Natural chocolate and do not care for the taste as much as the regular, but I do like that it doesn't have any artificial sugars.
