Monster Milk is AMAZING lol. My newest favorite is Myofusion (Chocolate) . In my opinion, it tastes so damn good! Syntha-6 is good too but not the greatest. I'd have to say that my least favorite was ON Gold standard but it may be because I mix it with water.. Now that I'm on a bulk, I really look towards taste more. Correct. It is pricy so a lot of us have never purchased it (Vasolate). I've had just about all of the 'best tasting' protein powders: Muscle Milk, XF UP 2.0, XF Whey, Syntha-6, Myofusion....but never did I spring for the vasolate. I may not even spring for the XF anymore. I really, really like the UP 2.0 but when I run out (4 out of 13 remain) I may go with less expensive options.

i have tried many protein powders, i received syntha-6 cookies and cream today and i am blown away


the mixability is amazing, a few shakes and its 100% mixed, down to the last drop there is not one clump of protein in there (a problem I had with myofusion was that it mixed horribly! clumps everywhere)

it basically tastes like a cookies and cream milkshake..by far the best tasting powder i've tried (in milk, have not tried water yet)

BEST: Optimum's Hydrowhey - Turbo Chocolate. Nothing beats it. Mixes super easily, works fast to drive that protein in post-workout. It's a bit pricey, but worth it in my opinion

PVL, Whey Gold, Vanilla Ice Cream. It's a company out of British Columbia Canada and my god is it good! They claim to have the highest quality Whey on the planet (don't they all..lol) but it does actually taste like a Vanilla Ice Cream shake. It's also lactose free which is awesome because most others Whey's give me nasty gas..lol. I wish BB.com had it because it's not cheap in the stores and I would definately order it from you guys. It smelt horrible (kind of like fish) but the taste was amazingOn this note, never judge a protein powder by it's smell. This isn't a fine wine or whiskey, this is protein! In fact, I would suggest never to smell protein before drinking, I find it creates a false impression.

Some companies actually enhance the aroma of their protein powders (mostly ones that sell to GNC or other retail stores) to attract buyers.

I am having trouble finding a protein shake flavor I can stand. These are the ones I've tried so far. Try Syntha-6 from BSN. If buying a 3# container, get the mochachino, or if 5# since they don't offer the mochachino go for the chocolate shake. Both flavores are AWESOME. I thought Muscle Milk was good, I was wrong. It's a protein blend, if that's ok with you? Whey/Egg/caseinate.

The stuff that I'm on at the moment, Nutrisport 90+ Strawberry strawberry flavour is god damn awful tasting, chalky and tastes like burps. However it is cheap, high protein content and they sell it in 5kg buckets. :D

I think the best tasting powders in my experience are the mass gainer ones, for example the Precision Engineered Super Mass Gainer was really quite good from memory.

Ultimate Nutrition Prostar Chocolate Creme - pretty runny in water, lack of true chocolate flavor

Ultimate Nutrition Prostar Strawberry Milkshake - decent tasting and definitely better tasting than ON gold standard strawberry protein.

Optimum Nutrition 100% Gold Standard Delicious Strawberry - IMHO not so delicious at all, runny, not very sweet or sugary and also not a very strong flavor but I feel it did help my muscles and strength better than UN Prostar did.

Bio-X Performance Vanilla - So far the best ACTUAL "shake" tasting product of the above, no chunks, no clumps, mixed great in water (2x 35g scoops in 12oz water) . Since it is my first day on the product I cannot comment on muscle or strength gains but based on taste and mixing ability it is AWESOME !

also want to try allmax isoflex as well as gaspari myofusion, bsn true mass ... and some others but i may stick to bio-x if i get results on this one !

My favorite lately is ON Casein Vanilla mixed with coffee. Tastes like a vanilla latte, or kind of like a coffee icecream milkshake. Just be careful shaking it if the coffee is hot- if the shaker is fully closed it'll explode!

I also think ON Vanilla is disgusting. Interesting you say that about MGN being sand. Scivation has the same issues. Very inconsistent, and they changed a supplier and their stuff started being sandy as hell and not mixing, and foaming, etc. They are supposed to be changing suppliers again which will make it powdery, we'll see when that happens.

Weird thing is I got a 5lber of Scivation Whey Chocolate recently and it tasted good, mixed good and wasn't sand, but supposedly they haven't made the change yet to the new supplier or vendor or whatever. Must be hella old.

Well...I started incorporating protein powder about a yr ago. Not knowing what the heck I was doing went cheap and bought muscle milk. Didnt do jack about research, which I should be ashamed of myself. Specially when I have a degree in Chemical Technology and always have been aware and methodical about things. Used about 3 (~3 lbs tubs). But then started feeling bigger, which wasn't my goal. I wanted to loose weight. So then did little research and found Myofusion from Gaspari Nutrition. Started on January this yr. Bought Chocolate Milk. It is very good. The only thing is I can't drink it with water, it has no taste for me so i mix it with milk, which adds another 100 or so calories. But seen lots of improvements. I am on my 4th tub. But now decided to do more research and have read lots of good things about Optimum Nutritions 100% Whey Gold Standard. Myofusion has 147 calories per serving, ONs' has 120 calories. I am a chocolate man so also got the chocolate malt. Will start in about 10 days.

So right to this moment, my best tasting protein powder is Myofusion Chocolate.

What do you guys think about this protein powder (Optimum Nutritions 100% Whey Gold Standard)? And with your experience, what are the best flavors?

Scivation chocolate whey protein. I think it tastes great, mixes perfectly (especially when shaken) and it tastes great with a few spoonfuls of peanut butter and hot water. Just like hot chocolate. I think it just tastes awesome. No clumps.

Oh, for all of those who got stuck with ON products after realizing they tasted like crap. I found a good solution, if you can aford the calories mix in a yogurt. Dannon light is like 80 calories, but completely masks the nastiness. Only works with milk though

ON Platinum Hydrowhey Velocity Vanilla is my all time favorite right now, although I haven't tried too many products.

It tastes good with water and the mixability is the best I've ever used. It is very very fine powder. If you mix it with milk it is very very good, but also good with just water which is the only protein powder that I've had that is actually "good" with water.

ON Extreme Milk Chocolate is very good, so I stuck with ON, then tried other varieties.

ON Pro Complex Chocolate... not as good, but not terrible.

ON Casein (old Chocolate)... pretty bad. Mixing it with water was the only way to get it down. Mixing it with milk would turn into a pudding/sand like mixture of awfulness.

There is no better IMHO. Every flavor they make across the board taste good. Only protein I can drink mixed with water and still enjoy.

I've tried them all. I too bought into the ON hype thinking I could find a better tasting proteing than BSN. I was dead wrong. ON taste like chemicals and fake sugar. Their 100% Whey cake batter is horrible. Now I'm stuck with 5lbs of it. Also their casein taste like crap as well (blueberries and cream). Never again.
