Best TASTING Protein Powder

I have found that Pro Complex is the best protein ever made for all around combination of performance, taste and how easy it mixes. The downside is obviously the price but the difference over the long haul is only cents per day.

I am actually about to order some of their new Platinum Hydro Whey because anytime they can improve on Pro Complex, I am buying. But damn, now we're really talking difference in price. Oh well, you get what you pay for right? It looks pretty much the same as GNC's AMP Wheybolic, which surprisingly I have heard very good things about. However I called my friends crazy for paying GNC's BS markup, even with the gold card but it turns out that it is about the same price as ON's Hydro and ON i have always thought to be one of the best priced supplements. Ugggg

I have also had really good results from Universal's Real Gains. It has more fat but nothing compared to Muscle Milk. Muscle Milk obviously tastes good but so do milk shakes. If you like Muscle Milk, switch over to Monster Milk for pretty much the same product but less fat and couple nice adds. Monster Milk was decent but for the money, not acceptable.

ON's Gold Standard is decent too and I got better results from it than I did from either Monster or Muscle Milk but there really was a noticeable difference when I used Pro Complex. For only about $10 more for the 5lb size, Pro Complex is definitely my choice. I will let you know what I think about the Platinum Hydro when I get it. I am also going to try and talk my buddy out of some of his Wheybolic so I can at least see how it tastes and mixes. However I can't see myself ever buying a GNC product unless its on a major sale.

Xtreme Formulations will out-do any other protein on the market taste-wise. I am sure in a taste test most everybody would agree. It's mind boggling how good it is. If I was a fat kid and I saw Nesquick and Chocolate XF UP Whey.. And I didn't care about any nutritional value.. I would pick the XF based on flavor. Hands down best on the market IMHO.

What I meant was that a year or two ago, everyone was recommending a certain "100% whey" above all other brands. Now many of those people are now using Myofusion instead.

I do like and recommend Xtreme Formulations products. I don't think I've ever said anything remotely bad about any XF product. If you've seen the picture of my supplement stash, you'll appreciate that I am very much a fan of Xtreme Formulations. Xtreme Formulations Ultra Peptide Whey - Choc Peanut Butter is AWESOME!

I just got my order today and I am already in love with this stuff. It's very sweet and to me tastes like a Reece's peanut butter cup. I haven't had Reece's pieces in AGES so I can't really remember if it tastes like them or not, but I definitely get a peanut butter cup taste when I drink this.

It's much more peanut buttery than chocolatey, but that's ok because I got this because I was sick of Chocolate protein. The only downside is that it's a little thin and I like my protein powders thick. I might mix a scoop of this and a scoop of some Chocolate Myofusion I still have left to see how it comes up. Hopefully very thick and very peanut buttery! I'll post back with results.

Can anyone who has tried both Choc PB UP Whey and Choc PB Myofusion give me a comparison of the two? If Choc PB Myofusion tastes like this but thicker then I will go insane when they bring it out in Australia!

Optimum Double Rich Choc, hands down the best protein i have ever used and ive tried a lot, not to mention it doesnt bug my stomach like others have. There vanilla cream was pretty good, i did not like the xtreme milk choc at all

heres a few recipes i use and love, all with skim milk and a couple ice cubes
1. natural peanut butter
2. frozen fruit like strawberrys and blueberrys
3. oatmeal ( do this a lot for breakfast on way to gym, i get the quaker 2min oats, i warm them up for about 40seconds with milk, throw in blender and add a little more milk and ice, its delicious!)
3. instant coffee, sometimes with peanut butter also

I don't think myo is all that great. I've only had the milk chocolate, but based on reviews on the site I am fairly un-impressed.

The absolute best tasting protein I have tried thus far is BSN's Vanilla Ice Cream. It mixes really well with fruit and it tastes outstanding. It is just the right blend of thickness and sweetness. Before it I tried the Gaspari Nutrition Vanilla and it was good to but in my opinion a little too sweet!! Thumbs up BSN....thumbs up!!!

The best tasting protein shake is muscle juice banana flavour, and the worst is definitely the 5 or 6(cant remember the number) star proffesional strength muscle building shake, OMG SO FREAKIN BAD TASTING!, u try it for a few days and ur stomach will hurt and that discussting after taste will stay in ur mind and mouth for a long time, and will give you the chills everytime u drink it or think about drinking it. id rather drink turtle blood.

LOL! I think you're talking about the six star muscle protein powder. I tried it also when I was younger. I agree with you it's horrible tasting. I think it comes from a facility owned by muscletech or something.

Going by taste alone, I prefer ON Gold Standard Double Rich Chocolate or ******** Chocolate. A lot of people like the thick shakes but I mix mine with water and I prefer a lighter, smoother shake. I'm goin thru the rest of some Pro 5 protein, not a big fan since it doesn't mix together as well.

DarkFalcon has risen a great point here, many supplements advertised on the web are not available here in the UK - we also have our own brands such as Reflex which make great tasting shakes - especially the strawberry tasting flavour which is just incredible (though I must admit I sometimes cheat by making a summer fruits shake). PVL, Whey Gold, Vanilla Ice Cream. It's a company out of British Columbia Canada and my god is it good! They claim to have the highest quality Whey on the planet (don't they all..lol) but it does actually taste like a Vanilla Ice Cream shake. It's also lactose free which is awesome because most others Whey's give me nasty gas..lol. I wish BB.com had it because it's not cheap in the stores and I would definately order it from you guys. I have not tried a whole lot of diffrent protiens but the one i like the best I have tasted is myogenix Chocolet peanutbutter it tast really good and I mix it with just water. and the worse I tasted was GNC Chocolet it was nasty.

I always wanted a low calorie shake! And this is one, i drink it with water and tastes amazing! I really recommend it to anyone who wants a good protein shake that tastes good with plain water!

MGN has the WORST tasting protein I have ever swallowed. I'm not even convinced it's pure, something fishy about that company.

Try BioX, Myofusion, NitroTech, IsoFlex .... all = win!

i'd have to say as of now ON cookies and creme. tastes like oreos to me.

other good ones i've tried:
1) wheytech bought it from vitamin shoppe (best chocolate i've had but pretty bad profile)
2) allmax isoflex cpb (best cpb flavor hands down although pricy. i'd purchase again if i wasn't on a budget)
3) ultra peptide cinnamon roll (hard to mix but tastes amazing)
4) myofusion banana (good but too thick compared to other proteins for my liking)

I've tried probably 20 different brands.. here's my honest opinion for some of the top spots:

#1. Xtreme Formulations Ultra Peptide 2.0 (I've only tried the Cinnamon Roll, but it won my heart)
#2. Muscle Milk - Bearing in mind I'm talking PURELY about taste here.
#3. Beverly Intl. Ultimate Muscle Protein - I personally liked the Vanilla, but they're all good.
#4. Beverly Intl. Muscle Provider - This would probably be #1 is it was taste + quality
#5 (TIE). BSN Lean Dessert Protein - tied with - Gaspari Myofusion

I really think that if people are rating the ON Gold so high they must either not have much experience tasting various powders or they are ignoring the fact that price and value are not a factor in determining flavor quality or appeal.
