Looks like a solid product. Their "isochill" process looks great. Seems like a very high quality protein. Never had it myself though.

Arrived today about an hour ago. I moved it from bag into smaller containers first. The smell of it was so good. Now for my thoughts:

Mixability: 8/10- There was just a few clumps. Not bad, but not as good as ON whey. Not disappointed at all though.

Taste:9.75/10- This is the best tasting non juice like protein I've ever had. Ever. Does not taste like protein in the least. I do like Chocolate Mint ice cream, girl scout cookies etc., so take it as you will but this stuff is amazing. Seriously can't say enough good about it. Did not score it a perfect ten, because it's not perfect, nothing is.

Profile: 7.5/10- This is basically the same blend as ON Gold Standard, which is a good blend for whey.

Overall I am pleased with my purchase. I will see how the "muscle building" goes, but I'm sure it will be comparable to others I have tried. Don't believe there is superior protein as long as bought from a reputable company.

I was thinking the same thing. I love coconut creme pie, and chocolate is always good. I gotta go through 10lb of what I've got now and I'm happy with. Protein sure has come a frikkin long ass way since I was in junior high and high school. I remember plugging my nose while chugging the clumpy matter down, and chasing it with a cookie or something to get the taste out before I unplugged my nose. Now I can sit back and enjoy it like a shake. Awesome!

BSN Syntha-6 no doubt, the reason i buy it honestly has more to do with the great taste than it does the protein, i dont even care about the protein thats a bonus, my family memebers who dont even lift drink it because its so good, i buy banana flavor and its awesome, also tried chocolate mint, that was also really good but nothing beats banana =P

I only ever buy chocolate protein powder (I'm too scared Strawberry flavours will taste like medicine), and of all the brands I've tried Optimum Nutrition's Double Choc is by far the best I've tried.

I like muscle milk but with all the carbs and fat, i cannot call that a "protein powder" that is more of a meal replacement.

That's the reason why I'm scared to try ON's Delicious Strawberry, I'm scared it's gonna smell and taste like antibiotics!

Unless anyone can confirm that the Delicious Strawberry flavour doesn't have that cherry smell that Rocky Road has, and actually tastes good.

same products the no fat is the isolate they also make blends and milk and even a hyrdosolate never tried anything but that isolate and the cinnamin bun flavor was so good i dunt even trust it if u mix it with like 4 oz of water its like eating cinnamon cream

ON's Delicious Strawberry is the only flavor protein I've been exposed to so I might not be the best source, but I think it actually tastes pretty good. I only ever mix it with water (the one time I tried with milk it didn't seem to mix well) and I don't have to force it down or anything like that. It's also possible that I may have become used to any funny tastes over time. I say go for it!

As for me, I think I'm going to try ON's Vanilla Ice Cream next. I was going to try out Cookies and Cream but it seems like a lot of people don't like it. Has anyone tried the Sugar Cookie flavor? They don't make it for the bigger sizes but I'm curious to know.

ON Whey delicious strawberry is ok but not great. I probably won't purchase again. I can see myself getting sick of it by the bottom of the tub.

I honestly mix it with skim or 2% milk and it mixes real well. I do the same as you with just mixing it with a teaspoon and I'm good to go. I never tried protein with water. I feel like I would like the taste better with milk instead. I'll give it a try for you though with water and will let you know shortly.

Have tried the vanilla ice cream it was okay and fine for the job but sometimes the aftertaste was an issue.

The double chocolate on the other hand is amazing stuff. Really goes down nice with 2% milk and does mix easily in water.

Now if you lift 4-5 times a week, how often/much do you take?

I just got done with ON Nitro Core 24 (Extreme Cookies and Creme) and it wasn't a very good taste. Perhaps it was just too thick and creamy, but it just didn't taste "right". I just started ON 100% Whey (Double rich chocolate) and the taste is pure ecstasy.

I highly enjoy any sort of chocolate, so I was a bit skeptical at first, but that taste is something to die for. For a little while I was making a shake with organic skim milk, and I must say that was an amazing taste! Tasted like Dutch chocolate milk!

i wouldnt trust anything from dymatize. you get what you pay for. I read on the forum somewhere someone tested their proteins and there isnt as much protein in it as they say its not even 70% protein per scoop

I totally agree with gunzz on the later. Syntha-6 is the best protein that I have ever had. It tastes absolutely great when mixed with water. With skim milk it is even better. All the flavors are great. Its made for lactose intolerant people like me, who sufferered from the other whey proteins that tasted horrible.
So, if you really want a great whey protein, Syntha-6 by BSN is by far the greatest. I wish they made a 10 pound container. Its totally worth it. You wont be dissapointed. You will get your moneys worth.

(My bedtime snack is 3/4 of a scoop of choc ON casein 1/4 scoop of extreme milk choc whey. 2 scoops of mega men max nutrition (powdered multi) and it tastes sooooo good. cant wait for that snack at the end of the night. i always use 4 oz skim milk....adds flavors 5 oz water .......helps breakdown powder and keeps calories low and a couple of ice cubes and single serving blender..... only thing im missing is the whip cream

Getting close to being finished with my first tub of Chocolate Myofusion. Been using protein for well over 10 years now and have never tasted anything this good and that's mixing it with water. Super thick and rich tasting like a milkshake and its even better just eating it. Best way to have it is 1 - 2 scoops with 1 tbsp of natty PB and just a little bit of water. Tastes exactly like PB brownie batter. Its gotten to the point where I look forward to having this more so than a regular meal.

From what I hear Synth-6 is amazing but the carbs are tripple what is in Myofusion. Just ordered Vanilla and another tub of Chocolate. This stuff will be my staple protein from here on out. Great job Gaspari!!

GNC Pro Performance Wheybolic 60 Chocolate is easily the best tasting protein I have ever had. It's one of the easiest to mix as well. Dymatize Fudge Brownie is the best tasting slow digesting protein I've tried (not as good as the Wheybolic though).

I've tried ON 100% Whey, N-Large II, and IDS Multi-Pro Whey Isolate Blend. Surprisingly, I'd go with the IDS. It's inexpensive, mixes really well in water, and tastes REAL good (big fan of the Vanilla Cinnamin). If you google it, you can find it as cheap as $29.

I bought some GNC 100% Whey Protein Cookies and Cream, and its the nastiest **** ever. Is there anything I can add to it to not make it taste so bad? I don't want it to go to waste, but i can't stand drinking it plain.
I bought a bag of that a couple months back. Tried mixing it with water, milk and even milk and a scoop of ice cream. I gave the bag to my friend, thinking it might just be me. Two days later he gave it back.

Lesson learned: cheap protein tastes like cheap protein.

I previously had only tried Double Rich Chocolate and Rocky Road. DRC I like, but don't love. Rocky Road I thought was horrible (I only take shakes in water, maybe in milk Rocky Road is better).

I just bought a tub of Choc Mint and my mate bought a tub of Cookies and Cream, we both came back to my place to try them and omg the cookies and cream in 7 ounces of COLD water is the most awesome shake ever.

Choc mint was good too, I was just disappointed it didn't have more of a minty flavour. When you open the tub the mint smell is VERY strong, but I barely tasted the mint when I drank it.

In closing, Optimum Nutrition Cookies and Cream flavour is the most awesome tasting PROTEIN POWDER (I don't like buying a powder that is half carbs half protein just so it tastes good) in water I have ever had. After I finish my Chocolate and Choc Mint tubs I will be buying Cookies and Cream in bulk.

I got some VP2 samples with my shaker bottle today too (needed a new one), I've only had their chocolate and it's horrible, but I'll let you guys know how I go with the other flavours when I try them.

I don't know if I've posted this on here yet or not, but I'll tell you my recipe for an AWESOME tasting smoothie.

8oz of skim milk
1 serving organic peanut butter
1-2 servings (depending on how much protein you want) of protein powder (I use chocolate)
1 cup of ice
1 serving of Fiber

Just throw it all in a blender and blend it until it's smooth. Comes out a little thick but can easily be drank with a straw.

I drink one in the morning and one as post-workout meal. Tastes just like a smoothie, but a fraction of the price. :)

Give it a shot and see what you think.

That's possibly true. I've had various protein powders and my favorite as far as taste goes is Gourmet Protein from Max Muscle but the price is outrageous. ON Whey isn't the best I've had, but I like the 4 grams of Glutamine and 5 grams of BCAA that is has per serving and the price isn't bad at all.

You sound like me. I actually had to take the protein powder and make a smoothie out of it. I'm VERY sensitive to taste as well. The Double Rick Chocolate isn't bad. A lot of people go with the Cookies and Cream.

You are just going to have to try them and find out. What's good to me may taste like garbage to you and vice versa. It's just a matter of trial and error. There is a Max Muscle store by me that will let you try ANY protein you want before you buy it to see if you like it or not. You will pay more for it, but if taste is that important to you, you might give it a shot.

I actually dreaded engulfing this drink every time I needed my protein. I tried milk and water and neither of them helped the taste. The specks of cinnamin were annoying and the mixture was very light, which was a "no-no", because I like my shakes thick. I am now in love with syntha 6 and will try a new flavor every time I am in need of a new container. It is a must for everyone who has not tried it. There is no possible way you could not like this protein!

Allmax IsoFlex peanut butter choc. chip is pretty awesome. I am trying a bunch of their other flavors soon. It is also very high quality, cold-processed providing almost nil cholesterol and oxidized cholesterol... high in whey bioactive fractions and taste is great. Avoid the high cholesterol powdered protein powders out there.

I have taken a bunch of different proteins but my main protein that I use constantly is Gold Standard Whey Delicious Strawberry. An on the go protein I grab from the gym is Muscle Milk's Banana Cream shake. The two of the best!

I keep coming back to the simple taste of Ultimate Nutrition Prostar Whey. The micro filtration makes it really smooth and I don't like ones that are too sweet. Plus it seems to digest well and I feel a boost quickly. Good first thing in the morning to sweep away the cobwebs. Simple and effective. Kinda boring with all the choices, but what can I say?

During past 7 years I have tried many kinds of protein, and I would lie if I say that Amplified Mass XXX's Strawberry flavor does not taste the best out of all. I would say that CytoGainer Chocolate Malt or Strawberry once again would be in a second or third place.

One flavor that you should not ever try if you dont have a strong stomach is vanilla. I have tried it from different brand names, but the results were all the same, a very undersirable taste.

I am pretty sure that if you go with strawberry flavor, you are least likely to get a product that taste bad, so good luck!

Optimum Nutrition's Chocolate Malt, here on BB.com, is absolutely phenominal. Never got sick of drinking it. Throw in a spoon full of peanut butter and i could go days without eating real food....not that i do. Velocity diet's crazy stuff. Would never do again...haha.

I dont seem to get tired of drinking ON Double Chokolate 2-3 times a day for over a year, but back in the days there was this think called Formula 80 from germany (similar to todays Weider Protein 80) and it had whey, egg and casein. oh boy oh boy was that thing thick and delicious in vanilla and choko.
the worst must be Scitec soy based protein and the sweetest and most ridiculous nitro-tech.

I just got a tub of ON vanilla Ice cream. It's better in milk, but I choose orange juice and I don't get the toots if it's in orange juice. With milk though, you are getting an extra 6-8 grams of protein.

Muscle Milk Chocolate is my favorite but since I don't have alot of money right now I went for bang for the buck and $55 vs $39 and I'll get more actual protein out of the ON 5 pounder than I would the Muscle Milk.

Hands down the best tasting protien I have tried so far is Muscle Milk by Cytosport. Mixed it with water and it tastes like a rich shake made with milk. If you are looking for something with less calories try Muscle Milk Lite. As for flavours, I really haven't tried one that I don't like but prefer the chocolate to curb my cravings for sweets.
