Champion Nutrition Whey Stack Chocolate

I just opened my tub and tried it in milk and it tasted better than some brands of chocolate milk.. no kidding. ON loses by a mile to this gem. Let's not start comparing this with Syntha-6 or Muscle Milk because their nutrition profiles are different in the first place

tried ON pumpkin pie for the first time. used blender with milk and 2 ice cubes. not sure if it tasted like pumpkin pie but it had that cinnamon/chai taste to it. i thought it was really good

Can someone filter that taste a bit further, i want to know best tasting Lactose Free Protein.

I have tried Cyntha-6, Dymatize and few other 100% Isolates but they all give me bloating and issues :(

Is there not a very good tasting protein for Lactose challenged people?

I would try Isopure, I really haven't tried the regular one or the carb free one but I have tried the weight gainer one and it doesn't taste bad, the best part is it has no after taste at all. Really makes chugging the shake easy =]

As for best tasting protein shake, I would say Muscle Milk is the best tasting. It's one of my cheat foods =]

I love Vyo-Tech's Oryx Goat Whey, the chocolate is light, mild and not overly sweet. I have the bubbling tummy issues, so the goat products work best for me. :)

I also love the taste of PVL's Whey Gourmet's, Pina Colada. I'll have this occasionally as a treat.

Have you tried the Oryx Goat Whey in water? I cant drink anything with milk and have no access to soy or goats milk where I am. If you or anybody else has can you let me know what it tastes like.

So far the best with water I have tried is the ISO-100(Gourmet Berry) and it isnt that great...

I am a HUGE fan of BSN's Syntha-6 and Lean Dessert products. GREAT taste (I think the Syntha-6 'cookies & cream' is my favorite)

Your gonna call me crazy.. but I just had ON Tropical Punch in my oats... and I thought it tasted pretty frikken awesome, other than that all the Strawberry/Banana/Choclate flavors ON makes produces are spot on. I also have a tub of PVL Whey Choc. PB and that is not to shabby, but looking for a better tasting PBChoc flavor, maybe Ultrapep2.0 for night time?

[edit] I also just put in an order for ON Gingerbread.. hope its good! also looking for a cinnamon bun flavor.

BSN's Syntha-6 definitely is a great tasting mix. Not like Optimum 100% Whey Protein where the taste gets crappy after 3 days.

I have not tried many different brands/tastes of protein, but I have been using ON Double Chocolate Whey Protein for three years now. I must say, that even after three years, I still enjoy the taste. In fact, if I'm trying to add weight, i'll add banana, oats, and peanut butter and it still tastes pretty good.

EAS chocolate protein powder tastes freakin amazing. However, the first time I tried it, I had to close my nose and down it. But after the second time, it really started to taste amazing. sometimes I just drink it and it resembles drinking real chocolate!

Try Allmax IsoFlex Whey Peanut butter very good.

Oh and for all you other guys Muscle Milk and Syntha 6 are not Protein powders they are more like meal replacements with all the extra fats

ON Banana Cream is pretty good mixed in water.
BSN Syntha 6 Strawberry tastes better though.
Unfortunately, since I'm becoming more lactose intolerant, I don't mix any protein with milk.

However, one thing I noticed about the ON banana is that 2 scoops with 6-8 oz water taste much better (more milkier/creamier taste) than 1 scoop.
Thus, when taking only 1 scoop, I use less water.

I notice a lot of answers for BSN Syntha-6 and Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey. While ON makes a nice high quality protein, I cannot believe anyone actually thinks it tastes good. It mixes terribly and leaves lots of chunks and personally I think it tastes a bit like chalk with a dry aftertaste...but to each his own! The quality, however, is very good.

I will give credit to BSN, as their Syntha-6 does taste amazing. However, the reason it tastes amazing is because it's loaded with a ton of carbs (15g) and other additives. A serving size, or a scoop, is 44g which is double the usual amount from most protein scoops. In that 44g serving, there is only 22g of protein...so in every scoop you take, you are only getting HALF (50%) protein, the rest is carbs and other additives. If it were a normal 20-30g serving, you'd only get 11-15g of protein in that scoop! That's how they get it to taste so good. Take a look at the label on the ON 100% Whey - a 29g serving is 23g of protein. That's a protein percentage of almost 80%, but it tastes a lot worse.

If you want the best of both worlds, taste AND quality, I have found nothing better than ISS Research Complete Whey Power protein. A 22g scoop serving has 18g of pure protein, or 82% protein ratio. It also tastes great, mixes clean, and costs less than the other two at most locations. Give the ISS stuff a look!

Next: Designer whey (chocolate) I'm living with it. Tastes ok but smells like a$$ when you open the container.LOL

The worst?.... Weider 90% protein.(Vanilla) This stuff is like drinking a shaker full of pancake batter! (don't ask, long story.lol)
Gonna see if I can turn the rest of the container into muffins or something.

I've tried others as well but these are the ones that stick out for me

Any casein protein is going to be a lot more rich and creamy than whey - it's simply the way the protein mixes up and the composition of it.

I like Optimum Nutrition Extreme Milk Chocolate with water or skim milk. I like Vanilla Ice Cream for making fruit smoothies.

Try this...

You can make any protein taste great using milk, yogurt, or other ingredients in a blender. Fresh fruit is also a great additive!

I think the real test of how a protein powder tastes is making it in 12 oz. of water or as described on the label. That's really the true test!

ON 100% Gold Rocky Road

I never expected it to be good. Just wanted to try a bunch of flavors. Seriously that stuff tastes awesome... As in, if you were to put it in milk, it would be something you'd WANT to eat regardless of it having protein in it.

Gotta say I was disappointed with Rocky Road, but to each his own. I'm really digging the Scivation Chocolate, though, and impressive stats to boot. Anyone have any experience with Dymatize 12-hr Blueberry/Banana?

Optimum Nutrition Double Rich Chocolate - yum, mixes okay, but good stuff
Dymatize Chocolate - this is very tasty as well, prob looking at Vanilla with next order
SEI Pharma - Max Protein Vanilla this is some of the best tasting stuff I have had and it mixes great, but probably going to switch to Dymatize because can only get it at GNC and too expensive.

ON Whey Vanilla Ice Cream: 2 (just awful)

ON Whey Chocolate Malt: 6 (decent tasting but gave me stomach problems)

********** has the best tasting chocolate IMO. I used to like ON but then i switched to ATW and recently went back to ON chocolate. Needless to say im switching back to ATW, the ON is bitter. ATW isolate makes great "sludge" btw, if you dont know what that is look it up. Its good stuff.

The best tasting protein I've tried is Max Protein. Unfortunately bodybuilding.com doesn't sell it. It has the nearly the exact same nutrition facts as Optimum 100% Whey. You can purchase it at GNC. If you walk in the door and ask for protein that is what they'll recommend. It comes with 75 servings, so try it out!

I use the Max Protein Vanilla along with ON Double Chocolate. I use the Vanilla in the morning and the ON during the day. The Vanilla is delicious!! I couldn't believe it. The problem is you can't buy it anywhere else and you have to roll to GNC to get it, but it is very good, you can mix it with anything.

Oh my gosh!!! By far the BEST tasting protein powder is ErgoPharm's GF Pro in Vanilla. I die for the stuff :)

My other favorite is CNP's Propeptide in Vanilla or the Chocolate Malt... they are equally as good.

And i say this as someone who has worked out for years and hated every powder that has ever existed... they just never tasted good and never kept me full. I always tried though because I love supplements and so I tried again and I found these both. Simply the BEST!!

ON 100% whey cookies and cream is horrible tasting, probable the worst tasing protien i have ever had... couldn't finish the jug had to give it away and buy some muscletech strawberry banana for a few weeks. which tased better. my fav's though have been chocolate, vanilla, pineapple, strawberry, and banana Maxmuscle High 5 protien, when they get another order of the strawberry i'm going in to buy it!

Personally I find the texture odd, its sort of grainy. Also, when mixed it's pretty foamy and the taste isint that great either. I wouldn't order it again, I must admit their flavors are what pulled me in.

I still love ON's "Cookies N Creme" although the last time I mentioned that about 72 people projectile vomited all over the thread.

I'm currently using Species Brand Isolyze. Their "Vanilla Ice Cream" whey protein has 27 grams of protein per scoop.

I've also got some ON 100% Casein "Chocolate Supreme" which tastes pretty good.

True Mass by BSN - 3 scoops with 16oz. 2% milk. Best taste hands down.

Im using it as a weightgainer, and I must say with water it tastes good, but with milk it tastes like a dairy queen shake. And 3 scoops w/ 16 oz milk is only 15 g sugar.

I have tried a couple of other protein powders like muscle milk, Pro-V60, and ON's, compared to BSN tru mass, if it is 10, then the others are 6-7.

BSN Syntha 6 and True Mass cookies and cream is the best in my opinion (it's too expensive for how much I drink), so I go with EAS 100% Whey protein from Sams Club. It is $31.00 for 90 servings (5lbs), and the vanilla tastes really good.

muscle milk is personally the best tasting protein ive ever had but then again alot of people say its garbage.. also that new lean body **** is pretty good... but in terms of best tasting quality protein, go with optimum gold standard. mix with milk or cold water.. lots of flavors too.. i like chocolate mint the best

This is somewhat irrelevant to a specific protein powder but if you had a teaspoon of ovalteen or mocha coffee mix you can make most protein powders taste great. It's barely any +carbs/fat/cals and the improvement in taste is just ridiculous

Syntha6 Strawberry Milkshake. I have a tub of ON Vanilla i've been trying to finish for 2 months, i can't stand it. I finished off a tub of the Syntha6 in just over a week. Ordered 2 more from BB. :) Has lots of carbs, but im a hardgainer so i like.

Muscle Milk chocolate is the best tasting in my opinion, although i have yet to try the batter flavors. With milk its heavenly.
In my opinion On tastes pretty bad, even with milk after a week it makes me gag. Too 'mediciney' for my taste.

I just tried muscle milk cookies and cream which was alot better then what I have which is Nitro-Tech Hardcore. In my opinion it is the worst tasting protien ever.. i usually have to hold my nose and use a chaser afterward to get rid of the taste.. plus, it does not mix... even if you try blending it in the blender it still has huge chunks of horrible nastiness.

My favorite is PB chocolate for shakes(tastes like a milkshake when blended with ice) and I use blueberry burst to make my protein pancakes(blueberry pancakes). Seriously! 25.99 for 2lbs on here. 120 cal/23p/2c/1f per serving (varries with flavor)

it takes a bit to get used to the taste.

I used to use 1 scoop ON cookies and cream and added 1-2 tbs flaxseed oil(by omega nutrition) and added 250ml of milk it taste like a smothie.

ON cookies and cream is probably the worst protein ive ever tasted, my mouth tasted like sin for the rest of the day and would make killer bad breath even after brushing and mouth wash. i highly dont recommend it. Im now trying ON strawberry and its better, but still its such a fake tasting strawberry, i can drink it, but its definatly not amazing or anything.

And you guys cant really compare muscle milk or syntha 6 to regular whey protein, they arent the same. syntha 6 is a slow releasing protein (hence its name its a 6 hour release protein) and muscle milk as stated above is a meal replacement.

havent tried vanilla, but i have the strawberry and it is okay, its a very fake tasting strawberry. i think there are probably some better tasting ones i just havent come across it yet. ask your supp store if they do samples, and try a few out. whey is whey.

This one is easy but I don't know if you guys carry is Stateside.

PVL, Whey Gold, Vanilla Ice Cream. It's a company out of British Columbia Canada and my god is it good! They claim to have the highest quality Whey on the planet (don't they all..lol) but it does actually taste like a Vanilla Ice Cream shake. It's also lactose free which is awesome because most others Whey's give me nasty gas..lol. I wish BB.com had it because it's not cheap in the stores and I would definately order it from you guys. I've tried ON 100% cookies and cream, which was nice but easy to get tired of. ON 100% Vanilla was okay, but I'm not a huge fan. Strawberry is nice for a change-up. At the moment I'm taking Double Rich Choc which I cannot fault. It's my staple. It's awesome and it will take something huge to get me to switch.

When I first switched to the ON 100% Double Rich Choc I initially I thought it was bitter and lacking sweetness. But that was only because I was switching from PVL Hydroflow Choc, which is another great tasting protein from Canada they sell here in GNC in Australia, which has a sweeter taste (exactly like chocolate cake mix). Actually, this is the very reason I now find it perfect for after workout when I really don't want something overly sweet.

After a couple of serves of the ON Double Rich Choc I was hooked. What's more, I have been taking it for a couple of years and haven't gotten sick of the taste.

Muscle milk tastes amazing however it does seem disgusting when consuming it because the way it looks. The whey protein from GNC is trash and I regret ever buying it, but i dun mind using it whenever im out of my other whey proteins. ON make great proteins. Their stuffs are amazing.

I hadn't tried all the whey brand of chocolate mint yet, but I thought that the ON's chocolate mint tasted okay. It didn't taste that bad, but it didn't taste that good either.

ON Gold stadard vanilla is okay. A neutral vanilla taste but a solid product and a great value.
Any flavor of Syntha-6 is awesome, but it ain't cheap.
Pro-NOS French Vanilla Creme (FREEDOME CREME!) by MRI is fantastic. Tastes like ice cream. They claim a bunch of related bennies- NO absorbtion, redicing body fat. I dunno about those. Cost per serving is almost double the ON Gold, but if you are looking for taste, Pro-NOS is the winner.

Personally the best tasting protein so far for me is VPX Zero Carb Graham Cracker flavor.

Now if you want to treat it during hte day as a meal replacement, put all this in the blender.

1 scoop of the protein
1/2 scoop of Quaker Oats
1 banana
8oz of skim milk

OMG!!!!!!!! This taste EXACTLY like a Banana Creme Pie shake from SONIC!

This is apart of one of my meals everyday, i always look foward to it. This is the best stuff ever ive tried

I agree the VPX Zero is the best powder i have tried to date. Personally I prefer solid food to a shake, but when I was taking the VPX I looked forward to it and it really helped to keep my diet clean by avoiding bad snacks. I had the chocolate though, havent tried the other flavors.

i hear ya, i too would rather have solid food than a shake. But honestly with the way this tastes when i mix this stuff up, it feels like i just went to sonic and got a banana creme pie shake. Nothing like drinking something that taste like your cheating but your not.

Met-rx extreme chocolate is the best tasting protein I have ever tried. With just water it is very easily mixed and tastes great. When you combine skim milk, a bananna, and if you are feeling risky peanut butter it is possibly the best tasting thing i have ever put in my mouth.... Enjoy

EAS "Premium Protein" tastes absolutely TERRIBLE!!! i got 6lbs of it for 30 bucks and it is chocolate flavored. absolutely the worst thing i've ever tasted and it doesnt mix well with anything. it has soy protein, casein protein and whey

on the other hand EAS 100% whey tastes pretty good in chocolate and vanilla. and you can get a 5 lb bag for 29 dollars at SAM'S club.

you can pretty much make any vanilla flavor taste pretty good by adding a few raspberry's or blackberries...my fav is adding a spoonfull of PB!

I think that the best tasting protein powder would have to be Pro Complete 40 by Optimum Health Nurtition. THe vanilla taste is the best and its very thin and mixes extremely easy. My favorite thing to do is mix a scoop of it with my coffee in the morning. YUMM

Did ON change their blend in the past year? I moved to Syntha 6 for awhile and I just bought that variety pack and every powder in there has some strange after taste; almost like butter. It didn't taste like that when I used it.
