On Bodybuilding.com and everywhere else pretty much. We actually just switched to a pure whey protein isolate with sunflower oil. However, most retailers have the older version which still tastes excellent.

its good. i never tried any other choc mint before and i have to say i really enjoyed it at first. I wouldn't say the mint is overwelming by any means, you still taste chocolate. overall now... id give it 8/10.

imo after i awhile of using cytogainer it starts to taste chemically.

I'm a big fan of the ON Chocolate Whey, but I recently picked up a huge bag of Myoplex Chocolate at Costco because I was running low and didn't have time to wait for the mail order.

It mixes okay, I guess. But it has that sharp aspartame taste...which really just ruins things. Does it really have to taste that damn "diet sweet"?

All I have had so far is Vanilla Apex High Performance, Chocolate of the same, and ON 100%WHEY Double Rich Chocolate. So far I am by far a fan of chocolate over vanilla. I don't think I will be leaving the ON protein though, so my flavors will be limited.

yea i know tough compairsons cause the macros/extra ingredients differ alot, what i find or found weird was i perfered ON Chocolate Casein which is cheap over many of the higher quality proteins,blends etc that I have tried (UP,Infusion,VPX Impact,On Wheys,Dymatize Whey,Prolab Wheys, Syntrax Wheys,Champion etc)it is my 2nd favorite protein with Dymatize 12H Brownie Fudge as first atm.

Anyway right now, any casein or caseinete slow digesting powder is what i need and i can fit any in my diet no problem for what im doing with them so i can go for the cheap fatty steak this time unless i can find a good chicken you know?

Jay Robb, unbelievable. No sugar, no growth hormone, no artificial sweetners. Uses the herb Stevia to sweeten it and it is 200 times sweeter then sugar. The most expensive protein on the market, but is worth it. Many independant articles claim it to be the best tasting and I agree 100%. The yammit bar is the best I have tried as well. I've tried:

Costco 6-lb. Bulk Chocolate -- not great, not bad. Not as good as ON 100% Whey Chocolate, and this gave me especially bad farts. (6)
EAS Protein Blend (Whey, Casein, and Egg or Soy, I forget) Chocolate -- see above. I bought this from Costco too, I think they were the same product.

Syntrax Nectar Tropical Punch (or one of the punches... it mixed into a blue shake) -- Really not bad for mixing with water (not like you'd mix it with milk anyway). In terms of comparing to real drinks, though, this one tasted much worse than a real fruit punch would, vs. a chocolate protein shake / real chocolate shake. (6.5)

ON 100% Whey Chocolate -- solid flavor, but I'm not a huge fan of chocolate. After 5 lbs., I got kind of sick of the flavor and haven't gone back. (7)
ON 100% Whey Strawberry -- Liked it. It's not as creamy as it could be, but I'm a fan of strawberry flavors anyway. Tastes as much like Strawberry Quik as the ON Chocolate did regular Quik (somewhat close, but not quite there). (8)
ON 100% Whey Vanilla Chai -- My current tub. Kind of tastes more like a graham cracker than chai, but not like that's a bad thing. (8)

Muscle Milk Cookies 'n' Cream -- Wow! Tastes great! But it also tastes like somebody mixed in real cream or just oil into the mix. Has sort of a synthetic taste that stops it from getting a 10. Also I couldn't see myself drinking this every day, too much fat. (9)

MM is good don't get me wrong, however the Brownie Batter in the flavor department too sweet and lacking a somewhat strong chocolate rich brownie flavor.....the cake batter is also good however im not a vanallia type of guy in the first place. I also think they could do with adding more sweetness to the Cake Batter as it is lacking slighty. If they could "darken" the brownie flavor of the Brownie Batter & Sweeten up the Cake Batter then it would be a hit 100% of the time.

As for the Dymatize 12 Hour, the rich brownie fudge chocolate flavor is very well done imo, however I think they need to add slightly more sweetner and it would be 100% perfect and spot on in taste. I of course already add my own sweetner to the powder so I have that 100% all the time anyway :)

i thought it was pretty thick if I can remember, I did a review and mentioned its texture. Based on taste alone, I would get it again toss in some guar gum a little sweetner and it'd be the perfect fudgy shake probally good anytime of day, tho I probally would not use it pre bed.

I've tried way too many in my 10 years of lifting but the powder I keep coming back to over the past few years is the NitroTech by Muscle tech. It is a fantastic quality protein powder from a very well respected and established supplement company. The flavor (chocolate and vanilla) is very smooth with very little of that chemical/engineered after tast that many of the other brands have. It is particularly good (either flavor) with a bit of natural peanut butter and frozen blueberries, or frozen mixed berries blended in.

The only one that was tolerable to me was his strawberry flavors. I forget which one I tried, whether it was egg or whey but strawberry was the only one I could tolerate but his stuff is not best bang vs buck anyways. I'd rather get NOW unflavored Isolate and mix it with Muscle Milk Chocolate like I do now. Cannot taste it at all......mixes perfectly with a mixing bottle. No foam either. But....it has to be water.

Until I try Ultra Peptide 2.0, Syntha-6 gets the vote for best tasting protein. I loved this stuff so much I was taking four shakes a day, which ran through me because of the aminogen, but still tasted like sex in the mouth.

If your a coffee fan look into the mocachino flavor. If your into just vanilla, mix it with orange juice - unbelievable. I'm not a big fan of the price - too expensive, but has a great taste and that's all this thead cares about.

I would say that GNC brand proteins, especially wheybolic extreme is the best tasting powder. It also mixes well with water and doesnt clump as bad in milk as other powders i have used. With 60 grams of protein per serving and high levels of BCAAs Ive found this to be the best overall powder.

Dymatize Elite's Mocha flavor.... hands down the best tasting protein ive ever had (one of the cheaper ones too)... what's really shocking about it is it actually tastes better in cold water than in milk. Tried: Dymatize (Choco Mint, Vanilla, Butter Toffee), American Whey (Double Dutch Chocolate), PVL (Choco PB, C&C, Vanilla), ON Whey (French Vanilla, Rocky Road, Choco Mint, others), Muscle Milk, Ultra Peptide (Choco & Vanilla)....I think that's it. Here's my top 3:

1. American Whey - by far the best tasting, mixability (word? haha), etc.
2. PVL - Choco PB was pretty tasty...almost like a cheat
3. Dymatize - very close to #2 - Choco Mint and Butter Toffee are excellent.

For anyone looking to try a new protein - you will NOT be disappointed with American Whey. I'm now ordering it in the 10lbs tub, 3 at a time (have 2 roommates as well), and letting others at the gym try it. Every person has went and ordered it after trying it.

Yup, did a review of it a couple pages ago. I drink most of my shakes with soy milk (i'm slightly lactose intolerant), and chai + soy obviously go hand in hand. It has a slight cinnamony flavor, and to me it ends up tasting kind of like a graham cracker (not a bad thing).

Are the Syntha-6 flavors different than the True-Mass flavors? I tried Cookies and Cream True-Mass and really struggled to keep it down. I had to eat an orange right after to get the taste out. I returned it for the chocolate, but that's only marginally better.

I tried the Zycience protein stuff first... I thought it was crap..
I tried Syntha 6 after and I love the stuff. It works good and it tastes pretty good too. Or at least the Chocolate Milk Shake does.. I have been taking it for about 2 months with an average of 5lbs a month lean mass gain.
I have recently started taking ONE container of the Wal-Mart Crappola...due to finances..
I have to add a good amount of Hersheys Syrup to make it taste better, although the syrup does nothing for the texture...

Dymatize ISO100 Chocolate - hands down the best WPI 0g fat, extremely low carb chocolate protein powder I have tried. I like my proteins to have the least amount of additives possible - if I want vitamins + minerals I will take them separately.

Mixes and tastes better then Optimum Nutrition chocolate and is better quality (WPI vs mixed/WPC), has less fat, less cholesterol, less carbs - perfect for my needs.

I have also tried:

100% Vanilla - Boring, artificial vanilla flavour
100% rocky road - Horrible, nasty aftertaste
100% chocolate mint - Very nice, gets boring after a while though
100% banana - Horrible artificial flavour

100% strawberry - Horrible artificial flavour
100% chocolate - VERY nice, almost like Nesquick, very mild chocolate flavour

Elite Chocolate Mint - VERY nice, about equal with ON's chocolate mint
Elite Vanilla - Terrible artificial flavour

I've just finished a tub of the Chocolate Cream flavour Muscle Fuel, which is hands down the best I've ever tasted. I've started the TNT eating plan the other day, so I'm going to get the USN Pure Protein one tomorrow as Muscle Fuel has too many carbs in it, but the guy in the shop told me they taste really similar. I'll give you my opinion tomorrow!

BSN Syntha 6 is good tasting & easy to digest. Gaspari Intra Pro is as good nutritionally but bit of an after taste & tub smells like your dog bottom burped in it when you open it.

Best tasting protein I ever had. Chocolate Milkshake is my fav. But all the flavors are great.

I had alot of different products and this one not only taste great it dissolves easy leaving NO CLUMPS and no bad after taste.

I just bought Cytosport Muscle Milk Banana Cream and its delicious the cyto gainer isnt all that great but the protein is great!

Ive took it ALL ,old nitro tech, on , true mass, gnc brand,.But nothin beats Muscle Milk Light. It taste great ,mixes easy,Low cal. Too..Just my 2 Cents

No i havent tried those yet but cake batter sounds pretty damn good.
