The ON did not taste bad at all, but wasnt on the same level as the dymatize in my experience.

I received the Butter Toffee last week, I really like that one! I received the Mocha today, it's OK, not as tasty as the Butter Toffee (for me anyway). The ON Vanilla mixes well with anything! Good Choices!

Syntrax Matrix 5.0 Cookies and Cream and ON 100% Strawberry are gonna be my next order.

So far I've tried ON's double chocolate, not VERY good, but good. And in water it tastes decent; in milk it's really good (sweet). Can't go wrong with that. I just got my 2 tubs of DE cafe mocha and butter toffee. IMO butter toffee is a little too sweet when mixed with milk but its great in water. Cafe mocha is kind of like ON's chocolate with less chocolatey taste and more coffee taste, it's not bad. Again can't go wrong with cafe mocha.
I haven't tried the two mixed together yet, but I will. I bet that will turn out DELICIOUS!

I received the Butter Toffee last week, I really like that one! I received the Mocha today, it's OK, not as tasty as the Butter Toffee (for me anyway).

I'm interested in trying their Pina Colada mix as well. I'm less impressed with the Cafe Mocha because it doesn't mix as well as the Butter Toffee, not a huge deal but it seems like it's not on the same level as the Butter Toffee.

Wow! That is awesome :) I love hearing those stories. There was a man that joined the club where I work (in membership) who weighed nearly a ton. The docs told him that he was in dire need of bariatric and weightloss (lipo) surgery. Instead, he bought a gym pass and started out slowly in the pool. That move took guts. I couldn't believe it, but he was completely determined. (And here I am, worrying the 10 lbs I'd like to lose...geeez) Lost nearly half his body weight while he was here, took about a year and a half. He just moved and I so want to follow up on his progress!

As far as the Latte goes, I am ordering seconds already :). I also bought Isopure's Low-Carb Dutch Chocolate. It is really good, but doesn't even compete with Nectar Latte. (If you like coffee drinks, you will LOVE the Latte...it has no protein/chalky taste whatsoever...dissolves pretty much instantly in water) I'm cutting so the Latte is perfect, I LOVE that it has 0 carbs, 0 fat, and 23 grams of protein per serving! (only 90 cals)

I can't argue that it's the best tasting, since I haven't sampled many protein powders, but I actually like the rather inexpensive Body Fortress whey powders found @ Wal-Mart. I am usually more in favor of chocolate, but, after trying both the chocolate and vanilla, I really favor the vanilla.

I've also tried Aria (women's) vanilla and Designer Whey chocolate. Both tasted fine to me.

I was at the pool half the day so I needed to bring some protein supplements with me, I tried the Roadside Lemonade with about 6 ounces of water.

Pretty good taste! Had a hint of a vanilla flavor (I guess it's not totally possible to get a "true" fruit taste yet?). It mixed very well, had a bit of a froth to it (which I didn't totally care for). Overall, pretty decent tasting.

The product is a bit pricey in comparison the regular Nectar 2lb jugs, but you're paying for the convenience of individual packets. (The container is nifty and you could always use it to store other stuff when your done.)

I think it's a quality product, I'm 50/50 on the price point, I wish they'd put another 10 packets in there for the same price, however, the convenience of the packets is how they justify it I guess...

I like ON's 100% Whey. I'll agree that it doesn't have the BEST taste (compared to Syntha-6, Muscle Milk, Nectar, etc...) but the quality of the product for the price is definitely a plus for me. Most of my shakes are mixed with a scoop of ON protein, so it helps stretch out the life-span of a lot of my other proteins.

I just opened my container of Syntrax Nectar's Caribbean Cooler and it was OK. It still has a vanilla-base taste like all of their Grab 'N Go packets. I thought it was OK though.

We use ON whey to make our shakes at the gym and when we make a strawberry/banana shake we use watered-down grape juice, 2 scoops of ON strawberry whey, 5/6 frozen strawberries, banana and some ice. It's our most popular shake, too sweet for me though.

I personally find that Optimum's Gold Standard Whey protein, the Chocolate mint flavor is the absolute best tasting protein you can buy. This only counts for proteins you have to mix yourself. As for RTD's it depends. Labrada makes a Chocolate Milk Shake RTD that is out of this world, and all of the Isopure zero carb RTDs taste great. I love the pineapple orange banana flavor.
As I said though, The chocolate mint by optimum is amazing. I mix all my protein powders in just plain old water and this still comes out creamy and tasty. Sometimes for a postworkout shake i will take two scoops of this, one cup of water, one cup of Tropicana reduced calorie OJ (50 Calories), and a serving of Nature's plus liquid vitamins. most people would think this tastes disgusting, but to me, its sort of a minty, orangey (not a word?), chocolatey drink that can be slammed down within 30 minutes of working out and wont cause any stomach upset.

Personally, I regularly use ON's Double Chocolate because it comes in the 10 lbs bags and remains relatively cheap. But when I go for flavor, about any kind of Muscle Milk is the way to go; Chocolate Caramel Pecan or Chocolate Peanut Butter. Sure, fat content is a little higher, but the taste is worth it. Just bump up your cardio a lil more. It most likely wouldn't hurt anyways.

Anyways. I opened it up and decided to mix with skim milk. Mixed one scoop with 14oz of milk. Tasted really bland. I could barely taste anything and there was a hint of a cardboard taste and strawberry. Good thing was it wasnt that sweet at all. So i added another half scoop.

Now i can taste the subtle strawberry taste, very little cardboard taste, and a perfect sweetness.

If Syntha-6 strawberry is A+ flavor, ide give this a B.

Im gonna try it again in a few hours post workout with straight up water and let you know how it tastes."

I'm a big fan of Met-Rx Protein Plus (Chocolate), but its a blend of casein and whey so I decided to pick up a couple straight whey powders. Tried ON 100% Gold Double Rich chocolate and Met-Rx Ultramyosyn. Not a big fan of either, but I might try them with milk. Note: They did get better by using less water than recommended though.

I've only tried the ones listed above. So taste review as follows:

Mixed in Water:
1) Dymatize Berry Blast. Very good taste and aftertaste. Mixed quick and clean.
2) ON Gold Standard Double Rich Chocolate: Mixed well, taste is pretty good. No bad aftertaste.
3) ON Gold Standard Vanillar Ice Cream: OK taste, slight chemical taste after.
4) ON Gold Standard Strawberry: Fake/Nasty taste, unless mixed with frozen berries of somekind to kill the taste.

Mixed in Skim/1% Milk:
1) Berry Blast. Dang, like drinking candy. This stuff is great mixed with milk. Wife tried it and wanted to know if she had to work out to drink it.
2) ON Vanilla Ice Cream: Milk and Ice make this flavor pretty good. Also removed after taste.
3) ON Chocolate: Improved taste over water, but not as improved as Vanilla. Put in a tablespoon of peanut butter, and it goes to #2 on taste.
4) ON Strawberry still sucked without killing taste with frozen berries.

I just started using Berry Blast, mostly after reading reviews about Cholesterol content difference between Dymatize and ON. After trying it, I'll be sticking with Dymatize for awhile.

I usually do 1 scoop of Dymatize Butter Cream Toffee and 1 scoop of ON 100% Vanilla with ice and water (blended)

I think that the Pro Performance Wheybolic 60 that GNC has is even better tasting.

Muscle milk is best in my book, but if you want to get better fats in your diet than what MM offers, then I go with the Wheybolic 60 and eat my fish oils, nut oils and flax oils during the day.

When you have something on a daily basis, why suffer? In this day and age, when there are wonderful flavor systems available, I prefer to enjoy my protein powder, particularly since it's the closest thing I get to dessert.

I have tried almost all of cytosport products, gnc pro performance and alomst all of ON's. I have to say I really did not like the flavor of ON's vanilla ice cream. Im not a chocolate fan or fruity fan so I usually stick with Vanilla and the ON's was close to undrinkable for me. The pro performance stuff is pretty good but didnt mix the best for me. Strawberry, Chocolate, Vanilla, and Mochachino (sp). Now, since this forum is all about flavor, I'm an idiot for not getting this stuff previously. The first three flavors were average, but they did mix very well. Now the Mochachino, WOW! This stuff tasted so good that if it wasn't a protein shake I would still drink it, because I like milkshakes. It is the best that I had ever tasted. I'm still not spending the money though!

Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Protein, Isopure, and Syntha-6 are the main three protein powders that I have tried. Isopure goes down the easiest of the three and basically tastes like hot chocolate mix. Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Protein tastes great at any time of the day as long as you take it with milk and not water, it is terrible in water. With milk this protein powder is great though. Syntha-6 seems to be the best tasting that I have found so far. I mixed the chocolate milk shake flavor with milk and it actually tasted like a milk shake. This drink was a little think though and a little too sweet to be taking first thing in the morning. In the end, my favorite would be the ON 100% Whey.

Ive been train 6 years now, have always used prolab, ON, and now dymatize for my last 2 purchases. Have always bought and always will buy supplements. Are products like BSN. Blackstar and all the other ''bigger" named guys really that much better than what i buy? Like come on, my ON 5lb cost me 55 bucks and a 2lb BSN would cost 75 bucks where i am! thats a HUGE diffrence! And for what? Does it only taste better? or is it really BETTER than what i use? I just know if i can justify spending more money for less product.

Bio-X Protein Fusion in Chocolate is DELICIOUS -- it makes my oatmeal like fudge, and mixes in water VERY nicely. I made the mistake of buying it before I finished my vanilla Isoflex.. which is still sitting there, unused, due to my Bio-X addiction.

I have to agree that Bio-X Protein Fusion Chocolate is really good. The profile is solid 180 calories, 4 grams of fat, 4 carbs (2 fibre) and 33 protein with it being a blend of isolate calcium caseinate, micellar casein, milk isolate and whey concentrate. People at work didn't like it but then again they dip french fries in sour cream so their opinion means very little to me...

I just picked up ON rich double chocolate. Wow. It's really good. Tastes just like a milkshake with skim milk and is also the best dissolver in water. Best i've had so far. It makes EAS look like crap.

Being Lactose Intolerant, its the only thing I can have and still keep down. Cookies and Cream is the best flavor IMO. I mix it with water and make it thick. Let me Kno if you guys have any proteins for those Lactose Intolerant people out there.

Cytosport Muscle Milk is the absolute best tasting supplement out there, period.

Right now, I'm on Cytosport Cytogainer (cookies and cream), and even though it isn't horrible, I miss my Muscle Milk. I actually looked forward to drinking that! Pretty much any flavor is awesome. By mistake I got Orange creme, and it was excellent.

ON Cookies and Creme with Skim Regular or Choco Milk tastes amazing. Ohter ON Flavors I've experienced and loved are: Rocky Road and Chocolate.

If you are cutting like me and need to skimp on the calories, this is what I do wtih my ON.

6-8oz Water, 1.5 Scoops, Enough ice cubes to make it ice cold, 1 TBSP of Natty Almond Butter, 2 Tbsp of Walden Zero Carb/Calorie Choco Syrup. Voila, amazing.

Before it was discontinued, PrimaForce Substance Choco and Vanilla were the best tasting powders I've ever had. Tasted so delicious you coudln't believe it was protein. In addition, if you want to try it, adding Coke Zero into a Chocolate Shake say 5oz coke, 3 oz water, tastes like a Coke Float from your favorite diner.

i guess i am partial to what works for me but i love the six star muscle fuel professional strength of any flavor and i usually dont do vanilla or strawberry but they aint bad either plus they are not expensive

I tried about every flavor, Chocolate Shake, Vanilla, Strawberry and Mochochinno from Syntha 6 (BSN) and there are all exceptionally good except for the Mochochinno (bleh).

But my all time favorite is GNC Pro Performance Wheybolic Extreme 60 Chocolate, its the best tasting ive ever had.
