View Full Version : My Cardio Routine...

Hey guys I'm preparing for a contest that is about 2 1/2 months from now.

I want to know what you think about my cardio routine..I'm only doing cardio 3 times a week for now, and will slowly turn that into 4.

On my off days from the weights I do about 1/2 hour of the sationary bike, with my BPM being at around 170 average.

Does this sound ok? Should I be doing more?

Also, I eat 1 cup of oatmeal, 1 scooop of whey, and about 7 egg whites about 1 hour before getting on the bike.

any professional/experienced critiques?

This doesn't sound to bad. Try finding an HIIT routine you can use on the bike. Something that changes the pace of your ride on there such as all out hard biking for 1-2 minutes then a moderately fast pace for 1 minute. It all depends on how much your trying to cut too. The HIIT really stokes the metabolism. As far as eating, that sounds about right to me. Eat that anywhere from 1-2 hours beforehand. Good luck
