Pendlay is typically the best. I have his "crossfit" bar, and it works great for about $200 with shipping.

Jesup gym has solid rubber plates that are good (but very large). Don't buy a bar from Jesup though.

I've read that the cheapo rubber bumpers wrap if they're dropped too many times..true?
