I've heard from users that if you're going to use this product then one should start applying it on Wednesday if the comp is on Sat. But does that mean I can't shower until sat after I have applied it? cause im assuming the product runs off with water....

it runs off but some stays on, I would just get dream tan and start applying that wednesday or thursday night

It's not like you're doing much anyway those last few days... I know some people take a quick shower every day with the Pro Tan on but I don't.

I try to get some sun or solarium exposure first. Some guys rely purely on bottled tan but that's a big risk.
Wednesday is advisable because if you wait till Thursday you have less time to apply several coats and get it just right for the day.

This is how I used to doing with pro tan. Start the wed 2 coats a day 'till saturday and no shower.It stinks and stains. But colour was good.
I've switched to Jan tana and It's ooo much better!

Yeah if I knew there would be this much hastle with this product I would have probably have chosen dream tan or jana...but oh well I guess no shower then haha

personally.... I dont apply protan until thursday night. I shower and shave thusrday afternoon and do my first coat HEAVY. FRIDAY...no shower and apply protan every couple of hours until you through 2 whole bottles. NOT the small ones but the large ones.
Saturday...you should be right on.

Yeah if I knew there would be this much hastle with this product I would have probably have chosen dream tan or jana...but oh well I guess no shower then haha
dream tan is MESSY and on some people LOOKS horrible. Jantana makes people look "dirty" vs tan

Hmmm I see, well I haven't tried any instant tanning product but hopefully then this one won't make me look "dirty". But I will take into account that.

Do a thread search in the Contest preparation section on 'contest colour', contest tan', 'tanning', I'm sure it's been discussed many times. You'll realise what product/s is recommended and how & when to apply it.

Dream tan works great for me, so much so I don't use protan at all anymore. I just show up and put dream tan on. :D
