View Full Version : Good Multi-vitamin

i know i should not be in here but i need some advice for my mother.

She is 67 years old and always tired, part sick/part depression. She want to go on a multi-vitamin but it has to have no iron and low calcium. can anyone suggest a product i can look at. Any other vitamins that can help he with energy that is not a stimulant. thankz in advance ladies !!!!

This isn't specifically made for older women, but Spectro Multi-Vita-Min is a broad spectrum multi that you can get as an "iron free" formula and has 500mg calcium per one six-capsule serving. So, if you wanted to take less calcium, I guess you could just half the dosage (to three capsules), but then everything else would be halved too. I'm sorry to say I don't know what's "ordinary" in terms of how much calcium most multivitamins have... maybe if you knew what was a good level for your mom to take, whatever her needs are, then you could look around for a product that touted that.

Go to GNC...they have a Multi that does not contain iron and has low calcium.

On that note; it is interesting how when we are growing as kids we need lots of calcium, but as soon as we hit a high age level calcium will hurt more than help.

thanks for the input, even though i hate GNC i will look into it. Her calicium levels are very high so the doctor said back off calcium levels.
