Does anyone own?
I thinking about buying one and want some serious feedback from owners. I can't seem to make up my mind about what to buy.
I was originally going to buy a 2005 Nissan Xterra but they are hard to find in my area with semi low kms(most of the ones selling have close to 100kms)
I don't want to spend more than 20k and the Laredo are pretty cheap but I'm wondering why? Never owned anything from Jeep before but heard good and bad things.
Can anyone help me out here?
Thanks.

I don't own a Laredo, but I do have a 2005 Jeep Wrangler. It was one of the higher end ones, so it was not cheap.
I purchased it new in Feb. 2005 and the quality on it has been pretty poor. The hood has been re-painted after six months and now I am having problems with other areas peeling off. (The dealership doesn't seem to think that this is a problem) The front and rear axle gaskets had to be replaced at about 25,000 miles. The Cruise Control went out at one year. A piece that holds the top on broke off. They left off one of the four screws that holds the tailgate on and the tailgate almost fell of when I went to open it.
I purchased it thinking I might want to take it off-road, but with all of the problems and quality issues there is no way I would.
My wife has a 4Runner and I had three Toyotas previous to the Jeep. I will be going back to Toyota.

Thanks for that info. New Laredo's start at $40k here but some used ones are selling at half price here so I figured there must be something wrong with them. I'm also looking at the Toyota Highlander but not sold on the appearance of it yet. Thanks for your input.
