Hi Ladies!!! :)

I've decided to start a new journal. The reason for starting another journal is so that I know I am starting fresh. I'm feeling much better now that my stomach problems have passed and today is the start to my transformation: eating healthy, exercising regularly and most importantly changing the way I look and how I feel about myself.

The work-out routine:
Day 1 - Saturday or Sunday:
Hack Squat
Dumbbell Rear Lunge
Leg Press
Leg Curl
Seated Calf Raise
Glute Kickback

Day 2 - Monday:
Dips
Incline Dumbbell Press
Flat Bench Press
Machine Bench Press
Tricep Pushdown
Tricep Press
Tricep Dumbbell Kickback

Day 3 - Tuesday:
HIIT

Day 4 - Wednesday:
Pullups
Seated Cable Rows
Wide-Grip Lat Pulldown
Hyperextensions
Alternate Dumbbell Curls
Standing Bicep Cable Curls
Concentration Curls

Day 5 - Thursday:
Seated Dumbbell Press
Standing Dumbbell Upright Row
Side Lateral Raise
Dumbbell Shruggs
Rear Lateral Flyes
Front Dumbbell Raise

Day 6 - Friday:
HIIT

Day 7 - Saturday or Sunday:
OFF

I am also going to do 3-4 extra days of cardio other than the HIIT, probably a moderate walk which takes about an hour. It will more than likely depend on the day.

Nutrition:
I am going to eat clean and healthy. I am NOT going to count calories (I might count every few days to see where I am at). When I was counting calories before I was becoming too obsessed with it and this probably didn't help the way I was eating. So for this time around I will not be counting calories, I will be eating protein in every meal and most of my carbs before 4:00PM. I'm also going to drink a gallon (4L I think) of water a day.

To keep track of my progress I will be taking measurements every so often (probably every week or 2 weeks) and will take pictures probably every 4 weeks. My goal is to lower my body fat, which I may get checked on the scale just to get a rough estimate of where I am at now, and to get back down to 115lbs.

As before, any and all comments are welcome and this time I'm going to achieve my goals with no negative thoughts and slacking off! :D

I was suppose to do 30 minutes of HIIT this morning but the gym was closed for Canada Day. Instead, I did 5 sets x 100 jumps each of skipping. It seems a little different, I know, but I am determined to stick to this so I found my skipping rope and did this before breakfast. Every cardio session is going to be done first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.

I might be taking a new job on monday which starts at 7:00AM so I really won't have any time to do cardio in the morning. In order to get my metabolism and the fat burning process started on these days I think I will do the skipping. Then, after my workout in the evenings I'll probably add 30 minutes or so of cardio.

I'll post nutrition later!

April,

I chose saturday (day 7) as my day off because it is the only day I really get to spend time with my boyfriend. He works away monday to friday so when and if he comes home on the weekends we only get a day together. I'd like to keep saturday as my day off so that I can spend as much time with him as possible that day.

how about day 6 then?? even in bis exercises, you use your shoulders as stablizers.

Once again I've gone off track! My stomach problems came back over the weekend so I wasn't able to start as planned. Hopefully they won't come back but if they do I guess I'll have to have it checked out by a doctor. It was that time of the month this week so hopefully that's all it was?!

I was reading www.bodyforlife.com during the weekend. Has anyone tried to follow their diet/training routine? After seeing so many of the before and after photos I'd like to give it a try but I was just wondering if anyone else has tried it and gotten good results before I do?
