View Full Version : Taking the week off- what to eat?

I wasn't going to be able to workout on thursday or friday becuase I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed, and I currently have the flu. I was going to force myself to the gym Mon-Wed, but I decided it was a bad idea and i should let me body fight off the sickness. Next week when i hit the gym again it should be refreshing, but how much food and what kinds of food should i be eating this whole week?

Bump, and also... does anyone else feel like they could eat non-stop when they are sick?

I feel like I could eat non-stop all the time. :)
You may want to try to try out some high protein soups (like with beans and veggies). Soup is always great when you are sick and you wont be able to chew much anyway..Other that that idea, I will leave the answer to your question to the pros though... Anyone else?

Well, despite being sick, i ended up going to the gym anyway, oops :) I got in an extremely long workout followed by some HIIT, and i actually felt BETTER afterwards? Go figure :P
But I think some soups and whatnot would be good while my mouth recovers. Should i worry about sodium? I usually go for low sodium
