Well after a month or so of reading everyones journals, i have decided to start my own. I don't really need much motivation, just maybe some friendly advice on my diet, workout ect.... Anyways, I am 27, 5'8 and 130 pnds. My bf was 24% when I last had it checked (on a scale) I'm not sure if it was accurate or not. My goal is not to lose any weight, but to build muscle.
I just really started working out 3 months ago again, got lazy for a year or so. So as a former cardio queen/starve my self skinny kinda girl this has been quite interesting for me. I've never been a big girl, just skinny fat if you know what I mean. I'm suprised i dont have metabolism issues or anyting, given my former way of dieting. Anyways, Just wanted to say Hi to everyone who reads this and i will post my diet and workouts shortly... :)

congrats on starting the journal caligrl! Much to my dismay, i used to be exactly like you on the whole "cardio queen/starve myself skinny" type of girl. but unlike you, my metabolism kicked my ass when i changed my bad habits. :p. you sound like your in great shape and i cant wait to read your journal. good luck!!

Okay here is my first meal entry in my jouranl :) Feel free to critique!!! I luv pointers, since i haven't been at this to long. Today is leg day, my absolute favorite and i will post my w.o later cause i'm at work and i havent done it yet!( my meals are preplanned, so haven't ate all this yet. But i'm gonna)
Meal 1: 1 cup oatmeal, 1scoop soy protien, 1 apple
3 fishy pills, 1 multi, 1 iron
snack: Fat free yogurt
Meal 2: 6oz albacore tuna
1/4 package soy noodles ( thats the seving size)
2 cups stir fry veggies
3 fishy pills
Meal 3: 6oz chicken
1 cup veggies
Meal 4: 6oz tuna
1/2 cup brown rice
tsp. low sodium soy sauce
3 fishy pills
Meal 5: apple, 1/2 cup cottage cheese
Meal 6: 1 scoop soy protein, w/ 2% milk
I'll let y'all know if I change it around. I usually don't. My fridge is full of good stuff. My poor little girls. They love junk food.

Wow, that diet looks great! Have you plugged numbers into fitday? I'd say on that snack of yogurt you could probably make it another meal to total 7 meals per day. Add some protein to it maybe?? Other than that, diet looks fantastic! Maybe the cals and macros will be a good idea to get so we can see how much of everything you are getting.

It was 1940 cals. Roughly, couldnt find anything on soy noodles. 18% fat, 34% carbs, 48% protein. I don't usually keep track of all that. I just try to eat good. :) I'm lazy

Hey Caligrl Welcome, I look forward to reading your journal. I'm 5'8 and want to get to about 130-140 pounds, I have about 25 pounds to go....you look great in your pics....Keep it up, you sound like your on the right track girl!!!

Thanks, Holly I'm trying. 25 pounds is not much to lose. When you do it right more than likely it will never come back :) I did it the opposite way, and i'm having a hard time gaining any upper body muscle. I should have gained the muscle when i was bigger then leaned out, I think, sounds more logical. Oh-Well. I'll probly always have boney little arms with tiny bumps for muscles!
Hi Caligrl, love your pics you look great!
When do you workout? The reason I ask is because your pre and post workout meals are the most important of the day so need to make sure you are getting what you need. Do you take whey protein after your workouts?

Do you have skim milk with the protein? And how about some carbs, like banana and oatmeal? About an hour prior to working out you should make you sure have a carb and protein meal (like rice + chicken etc) and then with your protein shake have some carbs (like suggested above, banana, oatmeal). Then about an hour after the shake a solid meal of carbs and protein (again, like rice + chicken etc)
I know its hard cause of your schedule, but I guess if you are eating regular balanced meals throughout the day you are likely to have adequate nturition around your workouts.

Abbs, I drink 2% milk with my soy protein. As for my meals, it sorta depends on if its my my week to keep the girls ( my ex live 2 blocks from me, so we switch off). If I have them, i try to go while they are in regular daycare so i eat diner after my w.o, Which has carbs and protein of course. Which means i have eaten a meal two hours prior to my workout. If i can have a protein shake and a piece of fruit before i do. Sometimes its just a piece of fruit. When i'm on my own its not hard to eat 1 hour before and after. I swear though I look like a frikin bag lady with all the food and stuff I drag to work everyday. : )

How old are your girls? Is there anyway you can strap them in a stroller? Not ideal, but at least you don't have to worry about them running around.
Whey makes me feel sick to my stomach. I haven't thrown up, but I feel queasy after I drink my smoothie. I think it has to do with the smell. I have to make sure I can't smell it before I drink it or I get dry heaves. Not sure why that is, but it's a pain in the butt.
Yeah Im the same at my job, always bringing various containers and things to work everyday. Any it took people a while to get used to my eating times, but now they dont question me. For PWO, go for the lowest fat milk you can get (as fats will slow down the absorption of your protein and carbs).

The girls are 5 and 7 so theres no possible way to put them in a stroller. They r ok sometimes. but sometimes they should be paying me to watch kids at the gym. I think its a little dangerous for them to be running around. The whey dosn't make me quesey i just spent absurd amounts of time in the bathroom, if you know i mean, and it made my stomach cramp REAL bad!!!! Yuuuuck. But it tasted so so good.
Abbs, I usually drink nonfat but we've been buying 2%. I put a little water in the milk tho. Prolly dosnt matter. I only work with my best friend, so she makes fun of me all day. While Shes eating fast food!!! : ( Thats ok!!!! She complains all day about her weight and I don't have much to worry about!! :)

Its nice to see you here in journal section. You already look good from what I can see. I have 3 boys so I know what ya mean about when you sneak in an hour of me time! The day care at my gym isnt so bad except that there are only 3 girls tops when it is extremely busy. So I tend not to go at times that the gym has classes. Anyways I wish you the best of luck, I'm sure you will rock!

Very clean healthy diet, but where are your fats! Looks to be only about 20gms? A good range for you is 30-40gms per day (thats 0.3 - 0.4gms per pound of lean mass, and 0.3 is the absolute minimum for health). The fishies are great so now you need to add some omega-6s and 9s, like olive oil, almonds, walnuts, avocado, egg yolks.

Thanks Girl!!! I am trying. I need better pics. Lol. My friend is gonna take some soon.My gym is ghetto and my daycare sucks.... And my girls can spot a sucker from a mile away. So they just walk on the day care lady. And there is only one day care attendant. :( Oh well. I manage to sneak off everyday anyway.

Thanks SGT. ABBS lol. There is always time to add those things since the day is not yet over. I honestly don't even feel like eating today. I've had to choke everything down so far. :( I'm ready for bed and its only 5. Maybe i can dream about doing cardio?? Instead of doing it!!!!
Gosh you sound really unwell! The last thing you need is to be nagged about food LOL.. I hope you have a good rest and wake up feeling better tomorrow. I feel a bit better today but I definitely can feel I need some more restful days.

I feel so much better today I slept for like 12 hours!!!!! I skipped my cardio though. Naughty me. Oh well, I think I will be fine without it. Abbs. Nag away girl thats why i'm on here!!! Everybody I know survives off of fast food and never eats healthy. So the extra input is much appreciated. :)

I was so so so so tired. This week has been so hard for some reason. I'm such a summer girl and it got real overcast and gloomy and i swear it affects my moods like nothing else. Anyways... I dont even want to post my meals or workout for yesterday cause it was horrid. No workout!!!!! :( Annnnndddd..... I ate so so so bad. My first meal was oatmeal ( started out good) then some ff yogurt, Then boom i ate Mcdonald's (filet o fish and the fries) Then I ate 2 chili dogs w/ the fries and theeeen i had a strawberry shortcake icecream bar!!!!!!! I haven't ate that bad in long time. Ooops forgot about the jamba juice!!!!! AGGGHHHHH....... I am feeling quite nasty today. I don't even want to know how many cals that was...... I think Aunt Flo's comin for a visit soon. Talk about overwhelming cravings for crappy food. Oh well it's a new day!!!

I can relate to the weather moods. When it's nice outside I can get up early, get the kids dressed and outside in 15 minutes (well not quite that fast, but it feels like it). When it's overcast or raining it takes me forever to get stuff done.

I can relate to weather and aunt flow, I have so been craving crap this week and I know its hormones, but hey Its not like its everyday, my fat has been up for days, but i think its weather and hormones again, what can I say we are women....TOMORROWS A NEW DAY!!!! Lol. Believe it or not I think the gross food was much needed. For some reason All weekend I have had a ton of energy.I did legs on saterday. It was killer. I upped everything by 20. I'm sorta hobbeling around now. But its great. Saterday was a good food day. Sunday was not so good but we made my dad a huge father's day meal, Prime rib, lobster, tri tip, Macaroni salad. MMMMM and it was so yummy. I had to have a bit of it all. Oh well. I'm not 10 pounds heavier and at least it wasn't fast food!!! Today I'm back to work and back to eating clean. Sure was yummy while it lasted. :)

I sorta feel like i'm talking to myself, but oh-well. :) It probably kinda boring to read anyways. Yesterday, I did 20 min of hit on the stairstepper. Fun fun fun stuff. Cardio sucks. But i've been lagging on it lately. If i'm not trying to lose weight should I still be doing cardio???? I feel so so skinny and alls I do is eat eat eat....... it seems. I'm half tempted to not even eat clean to put some weight back on and then start all over. Its been so so hard for me to put any muscle on the top half half of my body except my stomach. My arms I swear are never ever gonna grow. They are so long and lean. :( I dunno what to do. I'm already eating close to 2000 cals a day, should I eat more or just wait it out???????????

There are so many journals it's hard to read and reply to each one. Diet looks good, don't give up. You will get there, it just takes time (and patience). You could try increasing your cals to see if that helps.

I know how you feel about thinking you are talking to yourself. I didnt get to read alot here but I wanted to make sure I did respond. I have to run in a few... well 2000cals is good. I cant say that you should take in more cause I am not that good with the cals myself. I would just hang in there. Maybe try switching your routines up a lil. More weight less reps if you are not doing that already. Cardio is fine even if you are not trying to lose just dont too much of it. I will read more of your journal later.

You can plug in your own info from the package on fitday I think you hve to hit customize or something. I've done it before :)

Thanks, I'll try that. I use fitday already. I just haven't done that. I kinda switch my routines around. I do more weight, less reps usually. But I have sissy arms. I have some muscle, but they are really lean. :( As for my cals. I'm sorta afraid to up them. But the more I eat the more I lose. But if I gain weight I'tll be hell to get rid of. I already know. Can't win can't lose. Maybe if I sit still for a minute.............. Yah rite
Ive been reading!!!!! I suppose what you are trying to do is a clean bulk? Where you put on muscle without added fat gain...Ive never really done that myself. Once I ate at maintenance cals, around 2000, and put on a bit of a muscle. If you have long limbs I think its going to take quite a while for you to build up your upper body. You have to be patient and make sure you are eating enough protein and decent cals. And of course being female its tough going adding mass...so you really have to give it a chance. Im sure the weight loss will slow down eventually, just got to keep lifting heavy and eating around 2000cals. You could try a slight increase and see what happens, say 2100-2200? Are you measuring your bodyfat regularly? That way you can check to see if your added weight gain is mostly muscle. Don't be afraid to eat more cause if you are monitoring your measurements bodyfat etc you can easily reduce it if you notice any fat gain.

I don't want to be extremely built, I do like looking girly still. But I'd would really like to be more muscular. Maybe be able to see the muscle without flexing my arm. :) You know of course they always look better when you flex. I had my bf measured on a scale at the gym and I think it was 23 or 24 percent. Which I thought was high. But i guarentee you thats it's all booty. I've put on five pounds since then, I'm pretty sure it's not fat, Or it would have stuck to my butt. I dunno. maybe I'll up my cals and see what happens.

Hey your diets are looking nice and healthy but Ive noticed that you don`t seem to eat much fruit....it would be yummy with your oatmeal/yoghurt etc :D

There is fruit in my yogurt. :) Actually, I ran outa fruit this week and haven't had time to hit the store. My kids can demolish all the bananas, apples and oranges in 2.5 seconds. They luv the stuff. Thanks Abbs... I din't realize that i havent had any this week. Maybe if bring some and put it in the fridge at work it'll be easier. Any ways..... Yesterday was leg day... My favorite! Itss ususally on sat but my arms were killing me and I didn't feel like doing shoulders and chest. :(

My boyfriend is a personal trainer so he helps with my motivation A LOT! He also gave me a good hint when working out that might help with your arm results. Try alternating which muscle you do every other week so if one week you start with bis then tris, the next week start with tris then bis. That way, you're not giving the most energy to the same muscle every time. Same thing for legs - one week do quads then hams and then the next week start with hams then quads. It's great to keep shocking your muscles that way too! :D

I havent tried tuna burgers. I cant stand the smell of tuna. I plan to someday try to eat tuna. Do use the canned tuna like albacore bumble bee chicken of the sea?

Thanx for the advice. My arms are coming along I think. i have some muscle when I flex and my tri's are good. Its my Bi's that do not want to cooperate. :) The guy I'm dating lives with a personal trainer so he's alway's got really good advice on working out. I love that he works out cause we are on the same wavelength, with having to go to the gym. But I must say that I got them boyz beat with the food thing . :) Tahnx for posting. Hey Caligrl, casein is a type of protein (found in milk, cottage cheese, yogurt) and is slower digesting then whey. Its very good for muscle growth. You should be able to find it where ever it is that your buy whey, soy etc.

Well here's my meals for yesterday, didn't workout. Unless chasing my kids around counts? I did manage to do 300 crunches tho while watching tv. I need to switch my workout around and try some new stuff, I'm starting to get bored. Oh the joys of being an aquarius...... Anyways

Yah me too!!! I eat the pretty the same thing everyday, maybe with a little change. But forget about everything else. My hair has been 3 different colors already this year.I'm a jack of all trades master of none. It's sort of keeps life interesting. What's your b-day?

That requires such pateince, you must not have any of your own children ;) I've discovered whenever I get super bored with something if I change something about the way I look, i sorta get over it. My workout is a little different tho. I haven't worked out this week :( I'm trying to get something a little different together. Anyways heres my meals for yesterday and they suck..

I know I need some time off! But i feel so so guilty if I take it. I didn't work out 3 days this week and I swear I was getting flabby again. :( I did legs yesterday and the gym owner was like girl you know you have to take time off everyonce in awhile. He also pissed me off when he said your gonna get bulky legs if you keep pressing 280.Buttmunch. I got my bf tested tho and i'm at 20% so thats cool. I'm down 4 percent. I wish I had someone to work out with so I could keep super motivated tho. I have to go when my ex is not there cause he irritates me. He eats freakin Mcdonald's before the gym and only works arms and chest. He's a juice head. Anyway my hair is super cute. I have a picture that i'm gonna post tomorrow or tuesday. Cute cute. I got bright red almost pink highlights. So now its dark brown, redish pink, lght brown and blond. Its fun!!!

I'm going vent a little, so if your just not up for it skip this! :) I had the most horrible day yesteday and it was of course all my fault. First off, my man came over the night before(not so bad). So of course I stayed up ALL night and only slept for 2 hours!!!!! So I get up and go to work at 8. Feeling great!!! My boss aka my best friend gives me a wili wonka cupcake!!! I ate the damn thing... Now i'm sad cause i ate the cupcake. 30 minutes later I feel nauseous! Barf!!!!! 3 times I threw up. Damn cupcake... Then I'm still feeling nauseous so I decide If i move around I'll feel better. So I take the trash out! Then I fall down the back steps at work. Theres only five of them. But still. So now I'm tired, sick and i'm all bruised. Annnnd i'm crying. So i went home and went to the gym. When i get to the gym and scan in, They somehow get my ex sister in laws account mixed up with mine. She has 3 people on her account and hasn't paid..... nice. So they want money from me! So i had to have it out with the gym owner. Who knows me cause i'm in there every day, pretty much. Freakin' Idiots. I did get a decent legworkout in tho! Theeeeen the gym gym owner proceeds to tell me that if i keep leggpressing that much weight I'm gonna get bulky!!!. Highlight of my day my bf is down 4% and I got paid!! :(

Ok, so my bf is down to 20% now. Good stuff. I'm starting to not be skinny fat anymore and my arms are getting defined. (I can see it anyway) :) And my booty is looking good. I've been checkin it out in the mirror for the past 4 days. Lol. !!! Bad thing is that I ate so much this weekend and to top that off I had like 16 or 17 jello shots, bout 3 yager and red bulls, and quite a few smirnoff twists and bacardi silvers. Uuuummmm yah, I got drunk every nite for 3 days. And I hardly ever drink. I did mange to work out those 3 days tho, Does that count? Oh well. Back to my healthy food, it was fun while it lasted but i got some serious bloat from the alcohal and i swear i can feel the toxins in my body. Yucky! I did however start taking whey protein instead of soy. My bf gave me some whey that he had. Think its called pure low carb . Anyways, It actually sat rite with me and I had no problems. :) I was so nervous to cause that gnc crap jacked me up!

If you put you're pics into microsoft paint and go to the image tab on the top, then stretch/skew... enter 50% for both vertical and horizontal until its the size you want... I found that's better than cropping because it doesnt mess with the pixles as much :)

I'm kinda scared to cut my hair too, but I definitly want my bangs back... it may be a stupid decision considering its 100+ degrees out and im sure they will stick to my forehead... but I luv em.

It's cool in santa cruz and san fran, monterey..... But i'm in the valley and it sucks hard here. I'll move there eventually. Most of my family is down there. :(
Anyways.... I am having a serious fat day today. My bf took apicture of my butt last night goofing off and I did not like how it looked. My a$$ is so so big for my body frame. I thought I loved it but i'm not so sure now. So if anyone who reads this has any killer glute excercises, please please share with me. And if anyone has a magical cure for the cellulite on my A$$, that would be nice too. Its not that is sloppy (if ya know what i mean) Its a nice butt, but there is cellulite that I didn't realize was there. AAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHH......... Oh i'm so sad!!! Enough about my booty. Yesterday was leg day.... fun fun stuff.
10 minutes on treadmill
Leg press 5x10 200,240,260,240,200pnds (that's the order)
thigh extensions 4x10 80,100,80,100,120pnds
Leg curls 4x10 100pnds
hack squats 4x10 60pnds
calve raises 4x10 80,100,80,100

Its the lying down one, so I use only on leg at a time, makes my butt sore
Also did a dvd, quick fix, think its called, so I did 20 minutes of lunges,(early morning) squats, single legged squats, and 10 minutes of abs. Plus I swam for an hour, but I'm not sure if doing canonballs and goofing off is considered excersise.

It's cool in santa cruz and san fran, monterey..... But i'm in the valley and it sucks hard here. I'll move there eventually. Most of my family is down there. :(
Anyways.... I am having a serious fat day today. My bf took apicture of my butt last night goofing off and I did not like how it looked. My a$$ is so so big for my body frame. I thought I loved it but i'm not so sure now. So if anyone who reads this has any killer glute excercises, please please share with me. And if anyone has a magical cure for the cellulite on my A$$, that would be nice too. Its not that is sloppy (if ya know what i mean) Its a nice butt, but there is cellulite that I didn't realize was there. AAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHH......... Oh i'm so sad!!! Enough about my booty. Yesterday was leg day.... fun fun stuff.
10 minutes on treadmill
Leg press 5x10 200,240,260,240,200pnds (that's the order)
thigh extensions 4x10 80,100,80,100,120pnds
Leg curls 4x10 100pnds
hack squats 4x10 60pnds
calve raises 4x10 80,100,80,100
legg press 4x10 each leg, 60,80,100,60
Its the lying down one, so I use only on leg at a time, makes my butt sore
Also did a dvd, quick fix, think its called, so I did 20 minutes of lunges,(early morning) squats, single legged squats, and 10 minutes of abs. Plus I swam for an hour, but I'm not sure if doing canonballs and goofing off is considered excersise.

Yesterday was no workout day!! I can barely walk as it is, so I didn't feel like limping anround the gym. I ate decently though, and I slept like 10 hours, and still managed to sleep thru my alarm!

Hey mama! I would take it once a day, If you feel good on that try twice! I took it 3 times a day but I started out taking once and that had me wired for awhile then I moved up. Yah I'm back on track. Nothing like the Macy's dressing room mirrors to get my a$$ back in gear. I was just burnt out.... two kids, a full time job, a house to take care of, and working out. I need to join the circus, because if thats not juggling, I don't know what is.

I feel you guys on the gym thing, i have to go it is like my prozac LOL, so check this out my husband calls me out of the blue today and says to me make a list of every thing that bothers you, and i am going to try to take some things off your list for you( what the hell), ????? so i made the list sh$$ if he wants to hear it i will give it to him, i said oh stuff like the closet not being organized, and the ring around the tub that never goes away even w/ bleach and c.l.r damn kids LOL.....he is not the type to get down on his knees and kiss my feet, but he is very low matn. SO i really don't know where this is coming from maybe the weight loss, anyways i have to tweak my diet some, and i will get my journal going (maybe) LOL,

I do the same thing with the glutes. I am also hobbeling around I did legs Monday and they are still KKKKKKKKKKIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLing ME! I know tomorrow will be even worse.

Well it been a seriously crappy week. Its been a 100 plus here all week long. Which is fine if i'm trying to lose weight cause I CANNOT eat. Everything grosses me out. I haven't been posting my meals cause they are so sporadic, i'm sorta eating what I can,

Plus to top off my crappy week I had a really good shoulder work out all planned and my ex husband was at the gym when I was there. Doing Arms of course. cause that's all he ever does. So there goes my shoulder work out cause he and his 4 friends were hogging the tiny weight area. So I did legs again this week. Finally able to walk right, now they are all shot to hell again. They are looking good though, except the back of my thighs. That will probley be the last tiny bit of fat to go. Oh well!!! Hmmmm...... Let me rant about my children. Don't get me wrong I love them to peices, but they are horrid little spawn's. I am being repayed for toturing my parents in high school. I cannot get them to listen to me, they fight, they are trying to send me to the looney bin. Maybe it's because they cut my hours at work, single mom, now only a part time job, I'm never gonna make it. :( Think thats why they are driving me nuts, my stress levels are thru the roof. AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! I need a break from life.

My legs are all better thank god! Tomorrow is leg day and I bought some L-Glutamine Powder. I hope this helps. I see some live by it and others say it dont work. I dont know... this will be the test for me. If I make through the week without being in extreme pain then I'll be happy! Have a good workout tonight. :)

The instructions on my container (L-Glutamine) says 1 heaping tsp post wrkt and another 2 hrs later. What does it say on your bottle? Did you get pills or powder?

I have the powder, My best friend's husband had a tub of it and don't use it so he gave me some to try before I spent my money on it, he told me creatine bloats you up, so guess i'll stay away from that! :) Don't need any help in the bloat department. What powder? Glutamine? - I take it post workout. I try to get 5-10g a day... I also have these little chewy-glutamine-tabs by max muscle, the cherry is yum!
Creatine isnt too bad. Yes, it can make you bloat, but when I was taking it I made certain that I drank TONS of water and I was fine... I really could tell a difference in my workouts too. Just more endurance i guess.. I think I'm going to go back on it once I have more time to focus on my workouts.

Its only been 4 days on the l-glut so, I'm not sure. I did legs yesterday and they still hurt like hell. Can barely even sit on the toilet my butt hurts so so bad!!!!!!!!!!!! My protein powder has l-glut in it also. Maybe it takes a lil while!
Anyhoo..... Slightly stoopid is on august 18 and pepper is on august 30. It was supposed to have sorta been a surprise, but I'm freakin' nosey and I haaaaad to know. So I ruined it. But I'm still excited. Its gonna be sweet!!!!!!

Well the slightly stoopid he told me about because he wasn't sure if I had my girls that week, and I didn't have them (share custody every other week) And pepper is exactly 2 weeks later, so he knew i didn't have em then either. But I always have to know so he decided to teach me a lesson. Lesson learned! I still like to know whats goin on tho! I've been ruining surprises since I was little. Used to open and rewrap christmas preasents when I was little. Ha!!! takes a sneaky A$$ person to get past me!!!

Hay i don't know if this sound crazy but i do all the christmas shoping on Christmas eve Ha my oldest said to me last year where are you hiding all the presents HEHEHE .....He would be all up in the presents if they were in the house.....I am a rewraper and do it till this day I am sooo bad....But i hope every thing is going well my brain has been so messed up since the shoting....In and out of the hospital w/ my friend....I got on the scale agian and it was at 178lb so i am a happy camper today....Anyways keep up the good work mama

Pretty good stuff!!! (shakedown) Well hello there peps! HAven't posted in a few days. Been super busy! :) I'm not gonna attempt to post all my meal or workouts cause it would take foooreeever! Anyhow heres the low down. I lost 4 pounds, I'm sure if that good or not now i'm 126???????? from 130. But then I was also weighed in the morning so I'm usually 130 at night. So maybe I didn't lose weigh. Who knows... My bodyfat is 19% now wooohooo thats made me super happy. Not even sure what I want my bf to be but 19 sounds okay for now.

Illana, thanks for posting in my journal. My girls are 5 and 7 so I've had quite a few years to lose my weight. Keeping up with them and their energy levels is enuf to make anyone drop weight. SAUCY MINX huh, thats cute i've never heard that before. I'm sure everything will go good for you if you keep up the hard work. Tho it seems the better my body looks the worse I think it looks. Oh well. Guess thats life. Don't worry about having a beautiful face, it dosn't last nor matter really, plus i was a hideous child. If not, I would try and plan out your workout schedule so that you have 2 meals after your workout rather than 1 meal then sleep.
So if you could bump your workout up an hour or so, it would greatly benefit you.
I think everyone agrees that pre and post workout meals are the most important meals on a workout day. But i really think that the POST-POST workout meal is just as important.
Your meal looks fine, a carb portion and protein portion, that's what you need post workout. I would also add some vegetables. I usually just buy bags of mixed frozen veggetables, and mix that in to my brown rice. makes it taste better, and you get a bunch of good fiber.
I haven't read this entire thread, so I don't know if you've mentioned this already. Are you taking any vitamins, or other supplements?

I used to hate that about using a gym, having to go when you have daycare or when they do. Luckily we've been able to save and have a treadmill at home and a pretty good weight setup - bench, cables, free weights. I just go in the garage for 30 - 45 minutes and then I'm done.
I love leg days too! I think it's because that's where I gain my weight, so I like to work on them.
How's the weather over there? It's pretty cool and overcast here.

Nice workout cali...I know what ya mean about the daycare. SOmetimes the only time I can get there is when they are open. 8-12am mon-fri then later on in the evening but its CRAZY in the evening because all the classes and they only have 2-3 attendants on :( I wont subject my lil guys to that they have like 30-40 kids in there.

I can totally sympathize with the whole knee thing, mine suck and are always poping and cracking, and have for years, I think mine was from sports, I played baseball and was a catcher, that will def put some pressure on the knees, anyways just keep at it your doing great

I'm getting ready to switch to in-shape, supposedly they are better. Yesterday was sorta a chill w.o day I did legs on sunday and it sucked the life outa me so when I got home from work I took a little nap. 4 1/2 hours later I wake up. Aggghhhh oh well. So I didnt get to the gym till 8:45. PACKED!!! so I only did tri's and chest (half assed on chest) Needless to say I ended up at my man's and we didnt get to bed till 3 or 4!!! And we weren't doing what just crossed all your mind's. LOL ( not that long)

reverse grip pushdown 3x15 100lbs
chest press 4x20 60lbs
dumbell pullovers 4x20 40lbs can't move my arms anymore hence the half a$$ chest workout. Oh well Luv doing tri's !!!!! Think I did to much tri work but i got into it
Meal1: 1cup oats, banana
Meal2: lf yogurt
Meal3: tuna sandwich, lowft mayo and mustard
Meal4: turkey spaghetti w/whole grain pasta- has some protein in it Yum!
Meal5: 6 scrambld egg whites one yolk w/ salsa 1 slice toast
Meal6: 1 cup lwft cottagecheese,small glass choclate milk :(
Meal7: 3 scrambeled eggs, hashbrowns and 3 pancakes ( yah I know Ihop at 1 in the morning sucks, So I screwd up! It sure was good and I was so hungry
BTW: I ran outa protein powder so no shakes. :(

Lol, I took a four hour nap, 3 more and it would have been a full nights sleep. I new I wouldn't be able to sleep so I went to my boys house. We ended up at Ihop a 1am so yah.... Ate way too much and still wasn't all that tired. It jacked me up cause now I can't sleep and I when I do I don't want to get up, good thing I've been off work the past to days!!! No w.o to post for yesterday and my meals suuuuucked. What I ate was good, but after I went to look for a job in the morning I ended takin another four hour nap!!! So by the time I got up it was 1:30 pm. Heres my meals tho :(
1/2 protein bar

turkey sandwich
Jamba juice :(
2 chicken burritos w/rice and veggies (homeade)
protein bar
I dont even know how many cals that was but I'm assuming not enough, Oh well I didn't w.o so I'm sure I'll be ok. Today has been alot better so far. Time to get back on track. You still havin fun with your calipers booty?
Does anyone know how the men's journaling section is? My man is thinking about starting one, but is sorta curious about how harsh they are over there. I know the women are alot more motivational and helpful!!

Hey take a nap for me cause the kids are insane and I cant get any rest!
HAHA I am still having fun I got bruises on my thigh! SO my hubby did my bf today and then I redid it with his help for the tricep and it looks like 15.4 15.7 percent. Now thats sounds about right. I was getting crazy readings 10-13% I know I am not that low. I was pinching more inner on the thigh due to the pic and I dont think I was getting an accuate on my tri since it was kinds hard for me to do with my arm relaxed. (to boot I am a on edge all the time so I am a bit stiff and the EC makes me even more nutty!)

A gym would be fun to work at, not sure about the pay tho. Just need a part time job to sup the job I already have. They cut my hours down to 20. :(

Lol, they were cable curls with the bar! No way I could do 80 with one arm. It killed me with. For some reason cables are easier then the dumbells, but the dumbells are more effective.
hammer curlz with dumbells 20 each arm = 40 . Lol im not that strong.

Lol. I struggle with the 20pnd db's god forbid 40 on each arm. I'm a scrawny lil $hit I'm getting stronger tho. Cable curls are way easy to go higher in weight tho, but dumbell's kick butt. Too bad I have to fight the guys to get anywhere near them.
