Alright my products finally arrived yesterday and I'm going to stack them together for however long they last. I have yet to try either product so I'm excited to see what they behold. Here is a run down....

WHAT ARE THEY

M.A.N Clout is a new form of a creatine that was introduced not too long ago here is a write up of it http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/man/clout.html

Scivation Xtend is a branched chain amino acids supplement that many people are reporting great results from.. Here is a write up on it http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/sv/xtend.html I went with the 345 grams grape flavor as they don't have Watermelon yet :( but I'll probably order that in my next order if I like this product.

HEIGHT, WEIGHT, BF%

Height-5'11
Weight-184-185
BF%-14%

DOSAGE

For Clout I'll be taking 1 serving preworkout then another serving 4 to 5 hours after that like the bottle says. If anyone recommends anything different let me know.

For Xtend I'll be taking 1 serving preworkout and another serving postworkout. So by doing that it looks like I will only get 2 weeks out of Xtend but it should be enough time to see how it works for me.

GOALS

My goals while on this are to hopefully gain endurance and stamina, increase strength in some areas that have plateaued, hopefully be able to hit 190 without gaining any bf%. Both products look great and have had great reviews so hopefully it isn't a stretch to expect these things.

DIET

I'm running a clean bulk still so I follow a very strict diet consisting mainly of oatmeal, organic sprouted grain breads/ezekiel bread, fruits like bananas, apples, berries, veggies like celery, carrots, cucumbers, whole wheat pasta, potatoes, Chicken, Salmon, Talipia, egg whites/whole eggs, lean ground beef usually 92% or leaner, nuts like almonds, peanuts, natural peanut butter, yogurt.

TRAINING

Usually my split goes like this....

Monday-Chest w/ light tri's
Tuesday-Back w/ light bi's
Wednesday-Cardio no weight training
Thursday-Quads, calves, hams
Friday-Bi's and Tri's
Saturday-Delts, Traps
Sunday-OFF

OTHER SUPPLEMENTS

Along with Clout and Xtend I will be taking Whey protein brands like ON 100% Whey Choc. Mint, Dymatize Elite Orange Dreamsicle, Flax seed oil, multi vitamin.

Hopefully I get good results from these 2 products I'm excited to begin today even though it isn't my weight training day I don't know if I should hold off till tomorrow or not but we will see. I would also like to say I'm in no way associated with either company M.A.N or Scivation so I will give an honest review.

I just tried my first serving of clout I'm going to wait to take Xtend until I lift tomorrow. My first impression on the taste of Clout was that it tasted like bitter Koolaid or something but the after taste is really bad. But taste doesn't matter and it's nothing that makes you dread drinking it everytime just a very unusual taste.

Another question maybe JRod or Marc or someone else could answer what do you guys recommend for dosage on off days?

For CLOUT I still recommend 2 servings daily. At least for the first two weeks. After that in order to stretch a bottle out a bit, you can try the 2 servings daily on training days and one serving daily on non training days.

For BCAA's/Xtend take them whenever you want in between meals, before bed or first thing in the morning on non training days. You may even want to drink Xtend throughout the day in your bottle/gallon of water.

Well I took my first serving of Xtend today the taste is not bad, tastes kind of like Dimeatap (sp?) but it is solid. I took Xtend about 30 minutes before lifting and as soon as I got home from the gym so about 10 minutes after my workout. I took Clout right before I left for my workout. I hit legs today I did...

3 sets of squats
2 sets of lunges
3 sets of leg press
2 sets of hack squats
2 sets of hamstring curls
2 sets of rotary calf raises

COMMENTS

nothing really too detailed to report, my energy was up and I felt more zoned in. I'm excited to see what these products bring me hopefully I will be impressed.

Today I hit biceps and triceps some things I noticed were....

-I had way more endurance today usually I tend to give out on my bi's and tri's day towards the end but I kept strong the entire time. I went up slightly on my barbell curls.

-More focused, my mind was totally concentrated on the weights somedays I tend to be focusing a lot on the MILF's all over the gym but I was in a different world today.

-More energy I did some cardio before working out and I came right down and did 45 minutes of weights without feeeling any exhaustion.

Wasn't able to workout Saturday as it was my shoulder day and my shoulder has been killing me lately I might have to get an MRI if it doesn't improve but I'm icing and it's feeling better. I've still been taking my Xtend and Clout though and will be back at the gym tomorrow. I love the taste of Grape Xtend I'm probably going to purchase some Watermelon shortly so I'll have enough Xtend and Clout to last me for about 4 weeks. I'm staying strong at about 185 and I'm eating like a mad man so hopefully I'll be packing on some more mass shortly.

Whats everyone's opinion on consuming fat pre-workout? I see you're eating some peanut butter for your preWO meal, my understanding was that any consumption of fat before and after a WO will slow down blood flow and nutrients delivery

I take a very small amount but I'm open to changing this if it is necessary I have not heard of this before. I try to eat as clean as possible and I'm trying to get my diet as perfect as possible so any other opinions on this are open for discussion I'm always looking to learn new things.

good training session today I hit chest and light tri's my workout went like this:

3 sets of barbell bench
3 sets of dumbell incline press
3 sets of cable flies
3 sets of dips
2 sets of skullcrushers

I worked out with my friend today who I hadn't worked out with in awhile he said I was looking more cut up. Not really the look I'm going for right now but I do think I've been shedding some body fat in noticeable areas even though I'm lean bulking.

Some things I noticed today was in the gym I had this really weird tingling sensation go through lower spine through my legs it was interesting. I'm guessing it's the beta alanine from Clout? I also had some a weird sweat episode I ran upstairs at my house to get something and I sat down and had like a 10 sec cold sweat and it went away. Other than that I'm really enjoying these products my endurance has been up, my body is looking better. My weight is up a pound, so far so good! I'm contemplating buying some Primaforce WPI watermelon flavor and also get some watermelon Xtend. Hopefully I can pull the trigger.

I hit back today good workout I hit back and light bi's my workout went like this......

3 sets bent over rows
2 sets close grip lat pulldowns
2 sets wide grip lat pulldowns
3 sets one arm low cable rows
2 sets cable pullovers
2 sets barbell curls

I've been really enjoying the Xtend the grape taste is good I could sip on it all day. I wonder what watermelon taste like compared to this. But anyways I did bentover rows today and I switched up my grip to reserve grip and I was put up more weight than I usually do and I could really feel my lats getting contracted.

Some things I've been noticing are I had some more tingling sensations today it's an interesting feeling. My upper body is starting to look really good my pecs are getting good seperation I've been having trouble building them but lately I've been making good progress. I've been sweating more while on these products maybe because my intensity and energy are up. I like the endurance I'm getting as well I had a good 45 minute training session then I ran for a good 20 minutes as well and wasn't really winded at all. I'm just feeling really good at the gym right now hopefully it continues as I could use it tomorrow as it is leg day.

yesterday I hit up a running session a day off from weights and today I hit legs here is what my workout looked like....

3 sets of incline leg press
3 sets of straight leg press
3 sets of hack squats
3 sets of SLDL's
3 sets of leg extension
3 sets of hamstring curls
3 sets of calves raises

My hamstrings have been lagging so I've been trying to get them up to par with the rest of my lower body. I'm not too happy with my legs right now but I've been working them hard and trying to get results. So far my quads are coming along but not as fast as I like. I've been trying different routines so I'm looking for the perfect one.

As for my results I've been taking in about 3 servings of Xtend a day one scoop in the morning, 2 scoops pre workout, 2 scoops post workout, 1 before bed. I ordered some watermelon so my clout/xtend will last me about a month instead of a month of Clout and 2 weeks of xtend as I was going to do but I don't think that is enough. My leg workout was intense I've been sweating a lot more than I usually do at the gym and I'm able to workout longer and push out more reps. I've been feeling really good at the gym. Nothing really extraordinary to report I'm expecting my strength to start going up in the next week or 2. I still got tingling sensations going on but no big deal. I'm up about a pound so far hopefully I get up to 190.

On friday I had an awesome arm workout I haven't got my biceps sore in awhile so I changed up my routine and here is how it went.......

3 sets of close grip bench
2 sets of dumbell tricep extensions
2 sets of reverse pulldowns
2 sets of dips
3 sets of standing barbell curls
3 sets of incline dumbell curls
3 sets of preacher curls

I do 9 sets for both bi's and tri's and I finally feel some soreness in my muscles. Some things I've been noticing are my muscles are getting harder, my body is changing when I look in the mirror I feel more muscular and my girlfriend is commenting on it as well, my recovery is much better I wake up in the morning feeling good and not too sore. I took the weekend off as I felt I might be reaching the point of overtraining so I scaled back to 4 days but I'll resume 5 again next week with an off day mid week and at the end of the week. I feel like **** when I take both weekend days off but I had a really good chest, legs, back and arms workout this week and hit my delts pretty good in between all that but haven't been hitting my traps good enough lately. So far Xtend/Clout are delivering solid results I'm getting my watermelon xtend tomorrow I can't wait to try it.

note:

Just tried the new Watermelon flavor and it definately lives up to the hype this flavor is spectacular. Marc if you didn't come up with this flavor whoever did on your team deserves a hefty raise! J/k but seriously great flavor I'm definately impressed.

Training is going very well I'm up about 1-2 pounds so far my muscles are feeling harder. I've begun taking in about 40+ grams of Xtend a day trying to see how this mega dosing stuff works. I love the new watermelon flavor it's amazing. My energy levels and endurance are really up that is what I like most so far towards the end of my workouts I still feel like I got a lot left in the tank. Strength is going up a little on some lifts I'll go into more detail on that as time goes on but so far just seeing minimal progress in that area. Some other things I've noticed that aren't quite as pleasant and I'm not sure if I can attribute this to Clout or Xtend or neither but lately I've been having horrible gas I don't know if anyone else got this while on this or not but it's really awful but I don't really mind it personally but my co-workers seem to think I have a problem lol. Other than that not much else to report I'm taking 2 servings of Clout daily and about 4 to 5 servings of Xtend daily as well. Hopefully I continue to see good results.

SHOULDERS

today I hit shoulders my workout went like this.....

Military Press x 3
Dumbell Press x 3
Front Raises x 3
Side Raises x 3
Rear Delt Rows x 3

THOUGHTS

My strength has gone up I was putting up more on Military press than I normally do and on just about every other lift today. I maxed out my bench too I got up to 250 for 1 rep I've been making serious progress on that lift finally after plateauing on it for so long. People have been saying my face is looking thinner I don't know if that is a good thing or not maybe I don't have any water retention in it right now, with other creatines I normally retain water in my face. Overall my body is feeling harder in a lot of areas. My endurance is remaining high I get a nice bolt of energy out of these 2 products therefore my sweat levels have been through the roof.

Well on friday I hit Bi's and tri's and I got one of the best pumps of my life, great workout. My muscle hardness is way up I saw a friend I hadn't seen in about a year the other day and he thought I was getting really big so I guess something is going right. Overall my endurance is way up, recovery is going great as well. I wish I took before and after measurments as my arms are feeling much fuller lately. I'll have to invest in a tape measure as I don't have one. I took today off and saturday as well to give my body a chance to recover from a great week of training.

RANDOM THOUGHTS

I'm going to take a page out of Uhockey's book and vent a little and give everyone a little advice. Do not gamble on sports!!!!!! I've been trying this lately and it's impossible to win money on baseball. I've lost count on how much money i've lost but it's only like 80 to 100 I think but still it's frustrating. On a side note I'm looking to buy my next round of supps as I don't want to start Max LMG quite yet so I'm looking for a creatine and protein to get soon anyone got any ideas or thoughts on what you'd like to see reviewed?

Cell Tech ;)

Sorry I had to throw that in there. It's tough to find a good creatine product that has not been logged yet, but maybe another NOS Ether log or something.

Nice log, all around. I'll be starting a Clout log in about a week or two with some Xtend thrown in there.

Well yesterday I hit chest and traps my workout went like this....

CHEST AND TRAPS

3 sets of Barbell Bench
3 sets of incline bench
3 sets of cable flies
3 sets of dips
3 sets of upright rows
3 sets of shrugs

THOUGHTS

Some things I've been noticing lately are my strength is beginning to increase and my mental focus is much more intact than it has previously. The pumps I'm getting are nice and the endurance I have is greater. I get home from the gym and feel really good not really tired and ready to go to sleep. Also my libido has been way up I don't know if that is because of anything I'm taking or what but it's quite interesting. I weighed in at 187.5 yesterday so I'm getting close to reaching the 190 mark. It's crazy when I first started working out I was 190 with 18 to 20% body fat most of which went to my stomach area then I cut down to 155 and got my abs busting out now I'm back up to 190 and my body is totally different I wish I had before and after shots I'd like to see what I looked like.

Thunder is pretty awesome I think you'll like it.

To update my progress the last few days I hit back on wednesday and shoulders yesterday. Great workouts my strength has been going up and my intensity as well. I set a couple of personal bests on military press and bent over rows so it's nice to see my strength starting to kick in. My shoulders have been the weak part of my body but they are starting to get a lot stronger and it's helping me a lot overall with other lifts. My mental focus has also been great. I take Clout right before I pull into the gym and I get really pumped up right after I take it and it lasts me throughout my workout. I've never really had this feeling on any other supplements. My Xtend is starting to dwindle down :( I may have to buy another one but I will see I like how both of these are working right now I'm feeling really great overall.

Both my clout and Xtend are dwindling down I probably got another week left for both. Here is an update on my progress. Strength wise my lifts have been going up most noticeably in bench, military press, bent over rows. I feel a lot stronger and my overall appearance according to what I see in the mirror looks better. I can definately see gains and I'm a tough critic on myself. My weight has been staying the same around 186-187 so I think I need to up my calories my metabolism is quite strong so I need to adjust my calories on a regular basis and I haven't since I've been on these products. I also switched up proteins recently to Substance WPI and I got a small jug of Black Star labs watermelon whey isolate just to see how my stomach would react to isolates since on concentrates I've been a gas man lately. So the experiment has worked I don't fart nearly as much and my stomach isn't upset all the time like I am when I'm on Dymatize Elite and Optimum nutrition. I'm going to continue using isolates I think and see if this continues. To update things I've noticed on clout and xtend so far are....

-increased stamina (I could workout for hours on these products)
-awesome pumps
-strength has been going up steadily in the last week
-body composition looks better mainly in the upper part

I'm not retaining any water either which is nice on some creatine products I retain water in my face and it gives me a little bloat but haven't got that on this.

Today I hit some back and light bi's my workout went like this...

BACK & LIGHT BI's

Bent Over Rows x 3
Lat pull downs x 3
One arm dumbell rows x 3
Seated Rows x 3
Standing dumbell curls x 2

Overall I felt great my back has really been progressing well after lagging for awhile. I got a great pump in my bi's as well. My strength at the beginning of my workout was up on bent over rows I've switched my grip and it has helped me a lot. I can really tell that these products are working when I put on my clothes some of my shirts have gotten a lot tighter. I guess thats a good thing lol. Once again my endurance was through the roof I feel like I can workout for hours on these products. I sweat quite a bit and my intensity is great as well. I don't think that I have got 50 servings out of Clout but I will have to reassess that when I'm done. Either way I'm happy with the progress I've been getting and thus far my gains have been solid.

Well I've only been able to workout once in the last 4 days as I got a hip flexor I had never experienced one before and it may sound like a routine injury but **** it hurt horribly for 2 days I could barely walk. I'm fine now but on friday I got a bi's and tri's workout in and it felt really good to be back at the gym. I got an unbelieveable pump and my overall energy was through the roof. My strength has definately gone up a lot of my exercises are up in reps and weight. I got a few more days left of Clout and all my Xtend is gone but I think I'm going to order some more to take with my Cre-Ethyl Thunder which I will begin sometime next week once my clout is all gone. So far I'm getting everything I've asked for out of these products so hopefully I'll finish out next week strong and give my final in depth report.

Colinballin23
07-08-2005, 11:12 AM
Well the last few days I have spent finishing up my CLOUT and I'm sad to say I'm finished. Clout and Xtend was a great stack and gave me some good gains I was looking for and helped me get over a plateau on a few lifts. I'll breakdown my gains and experiences in my final report.

GAINS

I didn't quite get up to 190 but I gained a few pounds I'm up to about 187-188 but I don't any water retention. The thing I noticed most was my muscles are harder than ever now. I had my girlfriend watch my progress and fill me in on if thinks I have made any progress or not and she said I've gotten bigger overall in most areas. I feel I recovered much faster and my energy output in the gym was at an all time high. Overall I made some solid gains nothing mind blowing but enough for me to notice and be happy with.

STRENGTH GAINS

Strength wise I went up on a lot of lifts some of the most noticeable ones were...

-Added 10 pounds to my max on bench
-10 pound increase on bent over rows
-5 pound increase on military press
-Incline Dumbells I added a few reps to my max
-5 pounds on barbell curls
-5 pounds on skullcrushers
-Leg press went way up as well I don't remember the total poundage increase though

overall I got a lot of good results in this area I didn't add much on my squat but before this I was going up steadily so I'll probably be focusing on breaking that in the next few weeks.

PUMPS/STAMINA

I know a lot of people like the pumped feeling and the appearance of it overall I'm not really concerned with that but I will say that Clout/Xtend does give pretty sweet pumps.

The stamina I got at the gym was incredible I could workout for hours on this stuff. My energy levels were always way up I'd sweat a lot more than I normally do. These areas are really the 2 aspects I noticed increase in most.

OVERALL

Overall I was expecting quite a bit from this stack since I had read how awesome peoples gains were when using these products. While I didn't quite reach the mark I wanted I'm definately happy with the results that I got. Some products you take you can feel what they do for you but you can't always see it but I can see the changes I've made in the past month. I'd definately recommend this stack or either product as a stand alone. They are both solid products in there own right. I'll probably keep Xtend around and use it with a lot of other products I've got lined up. Clout is one of the better creatines I've tried I'm sad to see it come to an end but now I've got Cre Ethyl Thunder to try out. I'll probably start my log in the next few days so be on the look out.

Sounds like you made some really great progress. Keep in mind you have only been on this stack for one month, and only so much can happen on one month. Results on CLOUT and other products that increase muscle carnosine tend to progressively get better as muscle levels continue to increase over 10 weeks.

Interesting do you recommend that people perhaps get 2 bottles and go longer on this?

I do recommend a 7 to 8 week cycle of CLOUT for maximum efficacy. By the time you are done with the first bottle is when cellular levels of the bioactives really are hitting the peak. It is a good idea to keep this running for a while. And as I mentioned carnosine levels in the muscle continue to increase as well too.

I feel that carnosine boosters are an absolute must with all creatine formulas if you really want to push the anaerobic threshold and maximize power and performance. With that said, if you already have a creatine product, simply buy some carnosine boosters seperately. Although another thing that really sets CLOUT apart is the orotates in the formulation as well that work at increasing ATP, growth, glycogen storage (probably while your muscles feel so much harder on the product) and carnosine biosynthesis.

Thanks for the information maybe after I'm done trying a few other products I'll buy 2 bottles of Clout and give it a 7 to 8 week run and see how it goes. The results would probably be solid so I definately wouldn't be opposed to it.
