I was wondering if you guys think it would be a good idea to take a caffeine pill or drink some coffee about 30 minutes to 1 hour before getting on stage. I feel like it would help you focus and keep you mentally pumped. Anyone try it?

no, if you're not pumped up mentally just by being on stage then you may have a bigger issue. that's my two cents.

caffeine is a mild diuretic at most, emphasis on mild, i doubt it would cause any dehydration.

why risk it
why risk carbing up? why risk possibly crap loading? why risk sodium loading and depleting? why risk stepping on stage? i understand what you're saying, but i do believe that many bodybuilders risk plenty that last week. would i risk it if i hadn't been doing caffeine previously, no, but if i had been on a regular basis, i might think about it.

Isnt caffeine a Vasoconstrictor?
The opposite of a Vasodilator so 30 mins before going on would not be a wise idea.

it's both, in the Peripheral nervous system i believe it acts as a vasodilator

If you've been taking caffeine regularly throughout your prep, I'd continue. If you haven't, I wouldn't bother. It probably won't make a big difference either way.
