Zack's Controlled Labs Journal.
Got this free stuff from Controlled Labs (thanks, boys), so I'll take the pills and see what happens. Or what doesn't happen. I have no vested interest in a specific result - just an epidemiological study of what two products do to one guy.
I'm the first the admit that what "works" on one person is VERY open to interpretation, and some intelligent skepticism of successes and failures is required.
My stats:
I'm about 6', 176# today, but cutting some bodyfat and I'll be at 170 and about 9% soon.
I'm 33.8, been a competitive distance runner through age 30ish, lifting a little until then, but not eating all that well for gains. Then more serious since 8/2003. Lifting 3-5x/week since then.
Haven't ever really gone for size. My programs are always hybrid size-strength. Or just strength.
And I'm a personal trainer.
Current Program:
Westside-based strength program. I'm training, more or less, for a competition, probably in September. My goal is to be a competitor in the deadlift. And to deadlift 500 before I turn 35, which is a little over a year out.
Current 1RMs:
I'd put these in, but I'll be doing maxes in about a week, so I'll load them up then. Stay tuned.
My nutrition:
... is pretty tight. 2200-2800 kcals/day (I vary it), at about a 35/45/20 to 35/50/15 mac-nut ratio. I am trying to be hypocaloric 3 days out of 5.
Supps:
Multi-vit
Fish oil
Glucosamine
Glutamine
Saw Palmetto
Milk Thistle
I am OFF creatine, and take nothing that would ruin the test pattern of the 2 Controlled Labs supps. Obviously most of us (testers) are stacking supps, but I'm trying to avoid taking anything that would obviously defeat the purpose of testing something. Hence, no crea, no PHs, etc.
What I'll be taking:
White Blood, a "Blood Transport Enhancer" (NO)
Blue Rhino, a "Natural Test Booster" (tribulus terrestis)
Both are to be taken pre-exercise. Can do.
Enough for now. I'll start shortly.
