I am trying to get abs for the first time in my life... While sometimes I do have them, my upper abs seem to act weird at times. What I mean by this is they will bulge out to a great degree. It looks as if I have a huge stomach, almost deformed, but it is hard and clearly not made up of fat...

Any ideas why this would happen? And a way in which it could be remedied...

Trying to get my abs visible for the first time in my life is very hard. I do not drink at all, I train 6x a week and I eat very clean.. My one vice is some late night sweet cravings, but they are never extrodinary binges (600 cals at the most)

I train 6x a week, both aerobic and anaerobic, and I am eating 5-6 clean meals a day, staying around 2000-2300 calories a day. I am 5'9.5 185 and roughly 13 pwercent bf-

Its either from your abs that grew?


Or its because of the food/water you put into it.

I typically do not train my mid section with weight to avoid making it grow. My abs grow real fast. If only the rest of me were like that.. hmm...

Without pics it's hard to say what's going on, but it could be due to the fact that the top abs typically become visible first and they look a bit bulgey and out of place until the other abs start appearing.

I hate to break it to you, but just a few 600 calorie cheats here and there can prevent you from seeing your abs; at the very least it will make you have to work much harder for longer.

Depending on how much you weigh 600 cals can be a lot like he said. Need to take the diet more seriously if you want results. Post pics and we'll be able to help you better.
