My husband has ON Whey protein shake, but I think I'll like just munching on a protein bar better especially on those days when I don't get a lunch break between work and school. Can you recommend a great tasting, low sugar, low fat one?

I would stay away from protein bars altogether, unless you don't mind nutrition labels that blatantly lie about the amount of protein in the bar

I am not the biggest fan of protein bars, although I certainly used them in the past. My take is it's definitely better than going hungry. Okay, well with that out of the way, when I was short on time in the mornings, I used WalMart's Pure Protein bars. They are about $1 apiece, and the Deluxe Chocolate tastes remarkebly good for a protein bar. I tried 2 other types (smore and choc chip) but they were more chalky and distinctly "protein bar'ish" :D .
I believe they had no carbs, but they did have some fat content that might be a concern. They all had 19-21g of protein though.

Yea labels suck.
I have used these without any apparent impact on my weight loss.
Wal Mart brand, named above, 1.23 with tax :)
My favorite, Met-RX, 3.00
When I can't afford Met-RX I use Powerbar Protein with reduced sugar, 2.40
I used these bars as a straight replacement for a meal. They are not snacks. They are a meal. I look for bars that have at least 15 grams or more of protein, less than 5 grams of fat, and less than 30 grams of carbs.
I eat one a day. I work nights so I can't always get a real lunch in. The bars work great for me in that aspect.
I also drink one protein shake after my workout a day.
I have tried other bars but became bloated or found my weight loss would stop completely. Now it may be the bars or just me, but I trust the ones I mentioned above.
You can sometimes find independent studies online that test the real carbs and calories in the bars versus the labels. I found the deviation on the above mentioned slight at best.
