Start with using Fitday, I cannot believe how much that has helped me.
Keep track of what you are eating, and how you are exercising... then post results here, and you should be able to get good feedback.

I think starting a Fitday journal is a great idea! You might want to back track, and look at portion sizes. It to measure you food when you at home to make sure you are under estimating your food correctly.
