Just took Biotest Spike, 2 capsules. Will report back at 30 min., 60 min and 90 min mark. and later in the day.
I'm a seasoned E/C/N/Y vet so this should be interesting.

You know you can get sulbutiamine (the active in Spike) a lot cheaper in bulk, right?

Yeah. I just ordered from Biotest two days before it became available in bulk.
I guess we'll see if there's any difference in the way they "activate" the formula as they say than if it's taken straight. You think activate means the caffeine they throw in there?

Most likely... yeah.

Spike + 30 min: Nothing much yet. Perhaps some additional focus/ability to type better than usual.

Spike + 90 min: Good mental buzz going. Very good focus. Not at all jittery. This will make an interesting addition to E/C/Y/N combos.
I'm also thinking about working this all in with Phenibut/Piracetam.

Washed out fast. Am going to continue tinkering with it.
I think there's a place for it. I just need to determine where. I did get some unpleasant later day effects, but not sure if they were related.

I recieved my free sample last Friday, so late Saturday afternoon I decided to take a dose (1 capsule). I felt some effect, (good focus) but about 5 hours later I started to get a headache, chills, and dry heaves. It's possible It was food poisoning, or something else, but man i'm sort of afraid to try it again in case it was that. What is the likelyhood that sulbutiamine could ellicit that sort of response? anyone?
I will probably try it again next weekend...maybe.

Well, Spike’s effects are supposed to be “elegant and highly specific -- no jitters and yet jet fuel for brain/muscle function”(Quote from Biotest’s web site) … However, individual tolerance always vary. At any rate, you can’t make definitive conclusions before you dare to try at least one more time … If the effect is the same – forget about it, if not – the previous condition may be classified as “due to chance” …

I had the identical experience. First few hours were awesome, after that I sick with chills aches and my fever spiked to 100F. 12 hours after the initial dose I was fine again. I reported it to biotest and they said I was hypersensitive and they had similar reports of about 1% of people got this reaction. They suggested that I stop taking it and offered a refund. Mine was a free sample, so I will just flush it.
