What position would I do best in for football ?

Hello, I will be a highschool junior this year and im 16. I am 5'7" and 160 pounds. I am thinking about joining football this year...i never played it before...I know im going to get my ass kick...but owell. What position would I be best at ? Im not extremely strong(have been lifting for a year) or extremely fast. what position would be best for me ? Also anyone have any tips for someone who doesnt know to much about football ? Everyone reading this prolly thinks im stupied but owell.

You may be able to play free saftey, and as far as not knowing much i would advise if your high school runs a summer program i would advise that you go to the workouts(which if you school doesnt it will be the only one i have ever heard of). Thats where alot of the fundimentals are gone over in highschool. You will want to go before the 2 adays starts so you atleast know some of whats goin on.

hey, have you ever timed your 40? cu if you say yournot that fast, and your about 160, id have to say you should try outside linebacker. you have to have some speed if you want to be a defensive back or receiver. this is just my opinion, ask your coach, he would know best.

If you can bulk up a little and speed up a lot you might be able to be a running back cause you could hit small holes fast And beat big linebackers with spins and jukes

If you are fast and strong play Outside Linebacker or even Fullback..But if your fat, slow, weak, and stupid be a WaterBoy

What position could i play?? im 6'5 310lbs, have never been timed over 40 yards but have run 3.6 for 30m ( flying 30)

I have always wanted to play corner back it looks like a cool position
