Two scenarios. LSU beats UF in Oct and beats them again at the SEC champioship, barring UF makes it there. LSU beats UF in LSU and then loses to UF in Atlanta. UF, leapfrogs #2 LSU and plays USC in the NC game. Regardless, Notre Dame finishes 0-10.

Yes,I think florida will lose to l.s.u the week after next.giving them a loss in the sec east. That puts georgia,u.k,south carolina even with them in the sec east.It is way to early to tell, but by far lsu looks the best out there and will go all the way in the sec championship

I think people are fools who base their opinions on teams after just a game or two, but after talking to a couple of Nebraska fans I know, they said they really didn't see a difference in caliber between Ball State and USC. Sure USC beat Nebraska by 15 or so, which beat Ball State by a point, but I think they just don't know football.

I tell you what. I think OU and some of the other PAC-10 teams like Oregon and Cal could potentially run the table. It would be interesting if we see LSU beat Florida and then have 2 or 3 other undefeated teams in the mix at the end of the year. Soon after, I'm sure we'd have an extra game playoff.

I'm just glad LSU didn't show up worse than they did. Wet fields are natural equalizer. You can tell by the 70 yards passing. Neither side could hang onto anything, including the snap from center. There were multiple fumbles (lost or not), and the balls were flying everywhere. I still don't think Fylnn should have played with the high ankle sprain. His #1 receiver is out hurt for another game and he had so much wrap on his ankles, he walked like a robot. I have no idea he completed what he did.

I think we saw the worst of LSU, and if not for a stupid block in the back, they would have been up 35-7 in the third quarter to the number #12 team in the country. After seeing all that, I think they are unstoppable. But we'll see.

seems like we have a solid group of LSU fans in here. now someone answer me this. to my knowledge, USC's strength of schedule is rated as tougher than ours. i viewed both schedules, and i just don't see it. lsu has already played 2 teams rated in the top 12, with many more from the top 25 coming up including number 3 rated florida. how is it that there schedule is harder? someone help me to figure this out. i believe that if LSU can get through the season without a loss, we will be matched up with USC.

wow, just saw this. i am glad to see that the pac-10 is on the rise. i do love the multiple references to cal beating tennessee. pac-10s 2nd best team vs. the sec's 5th or 6th......

cal beats tenn by 14 and it is ground breaking news. florida beats tenn by like 40, and it is never talked about. i agree that the pac-10 is improving alot, and that les miles definitely picked a bad year to say the things he said. but i think pac-10 is benefiting alot by the media. oregon beat michigan!!!.....omgz!!! so did appalachain state lol. see what i am saying?

USC always has the stronger schedule...no matter how their opponents play. It really has nothing to do with how the teams actually play. It's more like the media endows them with the automatic factors to put them in the BCS calculation. Have we even had any PAC-10 vs. SEC matchups to decide this. I know Cal. played Tenn. to within a touchdown, but then again, Tennessee blew them out last year with mostly the same players. Still Cal. won this year, and that pretty much is the top of the PAC-10 vs. the middle of the SEC. We'll need a few more games to see if the PAC-10 is gaining on the SEC.

4 games into the season does not negate years of being a sub-par conference. Again, we need some more games to judge.

After looking at the top 10 yesterday, LSU did great. USC was a gift punt fumble or an on-side kick away from loosing to Washington! 5 other top ten teams lost, and #13 Clemson took a dump too. Cal had to score 3 times in the fourth quarter to come from behind to beat Oregon. #9 Wisconsin had to come from behind and finally won by a field goal to an unranked opponent as well.

Damn, what a day!

LSU will handle FLA. The Gates have no real RB. Tebow doesn't count.

He's the only guy they have to get tough running yards. That won't work long term in big time college football.

I do think the key matchup is the LSU WR's (w/o Doucet) against the young, but good FLA secondary (Major Wright is a SERIOUS baller).

I'm not sure Lafell and Tolliver (who was awesome in high school - haven't seen much of him thus far at LSU) are ready to carry the team.

But - I see the LSU D really stopping the Gators offense. And enough running plays with Holliday and Williams to win.

Curious to see what trick play Miles has up his sleeve.

BTW - have been thinking about it after the Gator loss, Cool, and I think S. Carolina would be the hardest matchup for you guys in Atlanta. Give the Ole Ball Coach some more time with the QB (Smelley - or something like that) and I think he can come up with a game plan in an neutral environment to keep them close to LSU.
He's got an advantage over Miles.

he just forgets he has them sometimes, at least defensively. once we DECIDED to play aggressive defense, there was an obvious change in momentum...we dominated from that point forward, aside from one broken play (pass over middle of open field for TD).

Surely you jest. LSU led 486-293 in total yards, 6 more first downs, gave up a touchdown with an insane receiver drop (I'm still amazed at that one), fumbled away the ball to give up another touchdown, and committed more penalties as well.

If LSU weren't as dominant as they were, they would have lost. LSU showed they make more mistakes than the other teams, but as for talent, they are a better team.

LSU seemed like they were trying to give this one away, but couldn't. Auburn is playing some really good ball, and probably will not lose again.

LSU is not winning because of their coaching. They are winning on some insane talent. LSU's freshman/soph. receivers and running backs were coming up big tonight. I don't give Miles too much credit for coaching, but we have to give him credit for recruiting. LSU is loaded with young guys. For example, when Dorsey went down, they threw in a freshman and the D didn't miss a beat.

But no, I don't agree that all the gutsy calls are the smartest. BTW, the final call in the game was the PERFECT call. Execution of getting the play off was the problem. They took over 30 seconds to snap it. Les probably should have hit a TO when it ticked down too low, but I'm surprised that pass took over 8 seconds.

The only reason USC lost to Stanford was because of the incredible amount of injuries sustained the week prior as well as in the first few minutes of the Sanford game. I was there and we looked like a totally different team without most of our starting line as well as some of our RB's. Anyways, no arguments need be started over this. USC is healing, they are going to start ramming teams from here on out. So I'll say it now, Oregon, Cal, ASU, and UCLA, watch the f**k out.

les miles is either a genius or a retard. i say genius because his gambles have paid off so far. i really hope he doesn't go to coach michigan or they'll whup my nittany lions for 14 more years =(
He's most likely going to Michigan, his dream job, and I'm not worried at all about it. PSU and Michigan have the same gameplan/style when we face off, but Michigan is just better at it. I'd love him to try his ballsy plays and gameplan against PSU, anything different from whats beaten us constantly. He can recruit like the best though.

It's funny you say that. If you go to central Alabama and ask if Miles can recruit, they say no. They say it was all Nick Saban, and until last fifth year senior or medical redshirt is completely off the team, Miles will get no credit for recruiting. Saban won a NC, but even he had a loss. Mile's record is even more impressive:

2005: 1 loss in overtime, 1 loss in SEC championship, totally annihilated opponent in bowl game
2006: 1 loss to SEC west opponent (controversial Auburn game), 1 loss to national champion, totally annihilated opponent in bowl game
2007: 1 triple overtime loss...we'll need to update at the end of this year.

Miles has only lost 5 games in 3 years, and each one has to a very good opponent, including the SEC champion (2) and a national champ.

They also seem to come out with a more talented team each year. I'm sure he's off to Michigan, but I just hope the next coach can recruit like Les.

Unlucky or lucky? LSU had nearly double the amount of offense (488 to 296 yds), and had 2 very stupid turnovers that resulted in point swings in Auburn's direction. Auburn never turned the ball over all night, but they punted almost twice as much as LSU.

LSU outplayed them. The final score showed the better team with more points. LSU just had enough gas in the tank to survive the stupid mistakes they were making.

Most people in the country give saban credit for Miles team, and how can anyone bitch about it? Look at how many of sabans recruits are out on that field.Personally,I think that miles is the better coach and his record is showing it,but until everyone of sabans recruits are out of there, miles will not get full credit.Bottom line.Idk if miles will take the job @ michigan or not,but if he can go umm what is it 25-5? in the sec,he can go undefeated every year in the big 10.If he stays @ lsu,he will get a N.c.If not this year, one soon. The man's a awsome coach.

That is funny that people would give Saban that credit. Saban only had one Miles-like year. Heck, if Saban's recruits were doing it, then Saban is a horrible coach. That's saying Saban couldn't consistantly win with his own recruits.

I don't think too many people who really know football buy into the Saban's recuits thing. Sure, that may be the case, but LSU is reloading every year. A better arguement would be that Miles is just riding a recruiting wave that Saban created. I'm waiting for that one next.

This leads to another bad arguement. That means that we won't know how well Urban Meyer is doing until all of Zook's recruits are gone. Miles and Saban are on their same year. Another one is Steve Spurrier. I guess Steve knows how to win with Lou Holtz's recruits. He's been there the same amount of time. While we're at it, it will be a while before we know anything about Bama either. I just think that if someone assumes that absolutely all players including every redshirted fifth-year senior must be gone to give a coach credit, that's bad. LSU starts a LOT of talented players that were not Miles' recruits.

Oh my God! I just gave credit to Lou Holt-th. :o

I can't agree with you more. The funny is look at where the players actually come from. On LSU's team, they are 90% from the state of Louisiana. Geesh, I don't think it's a major feat for Miles or Saban to land most of those guys. Miles probably gets about the same number of out of state talent as well, so there really is no difference. If a coach wins in a given year (ala Steve Spurrier), I have to give them props.

LSU really has no competition for their recruits. I got to give it to Bama for their recruiting classes. They compete with Florida, Auburn, Georgia, and even MSU and Ole Miss for their in-state players. Yet, they still crank out a good team. LSU just doesn't get much competition from LA or MS beyond MSU and Ole Miss, of which neither really threatens LSU or Bama.

Miles Dismisses Two From Football Team
(10/31/2007) BY www.LSUsports.net

BATON ROUGE -- LSU coach Les Miles dismissed linebackers Derrick Odom and Jeremy Benton from the team on Wednesday and said that backup quarterback Ryan Perrilloux will not make the trip to Tuscaloosa on Saturday for their involvement in an altercation at an off-campus establishment last week.

Miles made the decision on Wednesday after reviewing the findings of an investigation into the incident by the Baton Rouge Police Department.

“This incident it appears is winding down,” Miles said. “Our involvement is not to be condoned. There are a number of people at fault here including our guys and their judgment. How that will translate is this. Two guys, Derrick Odom and Jeremy Benton, will no longer be on the team. Ryan Perrilloux will not play in the Alabama game. That’s how it’s shaken out.

“Beyond that time, Ryan will be back as we prepare for our remainder of the season. That is how this thing has ended, and I want to go forward from here.”

Odom, a redshirt freshman from Jackson, Miss., has not seen any action for the Tigers this year, while Benton, a junior walkon from Monroe, La., played in four games, all in a backup role.

In eight games this year, Perrilloux has thrown for 414 yards and six touchdowns, while adding another 192 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

Miles said that sophomore Andrew Hatch along with freshman Jarrett Lee will serve as LSU’s backup quarterbacks this weekend against Alabama. LSU travels to face the 17th-ranked Crimson Tide at 4 p.m. on Saturday in Tuscaloosa.

losing those players wont hurt lsu one bit.

waiting for this game is killing me.

As a bama fan...

people who say Miles is winning with Saban recruits are idiots. Is mostly media people trying to put spin on things to cause controversy. I think Miles is a hell of a coach and deserves his nickname of "Lesticles". He's made some unbeleivably tough and gutsy decisions.

As for recruiting, yes Saban did a hell of a job recruiting at LSU and he stole some huge talent from outside states (Jamarcus Russell from Mobile, AL comes to mind..). Les has done a great job recruiting as well. Whether he was "riding the wave" that Saban created or not is really up for debate. Like you said most of LSU's players do come from LA. LA highschool talent is down this year and LSU's recruiting class is showing it....its not doing that well so far. AL on the other hand is loaded with talent in highschool this year so naturally AL being on the upswing with a new coach that has an endless amount of recruiting energy is doing well.

I guess my point is that none of the things that written about really boil it down to what is really going on. Its more than just Saban vs. Miles.

The whole Miles-Saban thing is rediculous. LSU has always had a very good program that is capable of a NC team. The big differences between LSU and Bama are LSU had a period of really bad coaches during the 90's, and Bama had a very good run for around 20 years with Bear Byant. If you take those periods away, you have two very similar teams with LSU riding another current high point.

As for Bama, I really don't see all the talk about low expectations and what Saban has done. We are talking about Alabama! If someone thinks they can walk on any Bama team, any year, they are a fool!!! Bama and LSU just 24 months ago were both top ten teams battling it out for the SEC West, SEC, and a possible National Championship for both teams! This is no sorry team that Saban inherited. This year, Saban has lost 2 games, and nearly 3 more (Houston, Ole Miss, and Arkansas). I think Saban is a good coach, but he really has done nothing to get the ataboy yet. We'll definitely know by this weekend.

The funny thing is Saban seems to have some kind of bad play-calling immunity. He had it at LSU, too, and I'll admit it (i.e. bump coverage on last play of Cap One Bowl against Iowa). Heck, it took Saban through the end of his career at LSU to realize the Russell-Randall dual QB system was being run poorly. Nobody seems to blame Saban for bad calls. For example, against Tennessee, he kicks an on-side kick on the first play. Nice play, but that's a play that you don't have even a 50% probability of getting. If they don't get it, they just gift wrapped the home momentum to Tenn. Also, I'm still shaking my head as to why Bama kicked a field goal with 3 minutes left in the Arkansas game when they were down 7. How in the heck could anyone have known McFaddin wasn't going back in the game. If McFadding goes back in and Nutt runs him on every play, we aren't having this conversation. I don't like Saban's calls.

If Bama beats LSU this weekend, Bama will have the respect they deserve. IF they lose, it will just be another tough fight between LSU and Bama, as they do each year. Now, if LSU wins big, I think there needs to be some serious head scratching in Tuscaloosa. By all rights, this game should be a close hard-fought one.

LSU has a gigantic front line. It was funny though, they missed on a fourth down conversion late. It was Les just running the ball up the middle to run the game out, but it was a cool stop by LA Tech. They put 9-10 men on the line, and dared Hester to beat them. LOL. I would think you can't really do that if the game were on the line because the tight ends or receivers will eat you alive, but I did have to chuckle.

I admire LA Tech's poise. Sure, they got pummeled, but they were playing all the way up until the end. LA Tech was a point away from beating Hawaii, and they played with Boise State all the way through the game.

I just gathered some data that supports the SEC's tough schedule arguement. Here are four examples of OOC schedules:

Big 12 -- 36-11
Pac-10 -- 21-8
Big 10 -- 35-8
SEC -- 37-5

The SEC's OOC losses are (and their records are very good):

-- Cal. over Tenn.
-- Missouri over Ole Miss
-- USF over Auburn
-- WVU over Miss. State
-- FSU over Bama

The Big Ten has these losses (this is the closest):
-- App. State over Michigan
-- Oregon over Michigan
-- Missouri over Illinois
-- Indiana over Iowa
-- Duke over Northwestern
-- Bowling Green over Minnesota
-- Florida Atlantic over Minnesota
-- North Dakota State over Minnesota

SEC losses are only to 4 teams that have been in the top 5 and I believe one that was in the top 10 or 15. Since the BCS computers weigh heavily on losses, I figured I would pull these up.

Saban is not the only one who sees talent, but he's an incredible recruiter. His history shows that

There's no doubt he's one of the strongest recruiters in the nation. In his first pre-season at Bama he was able to steal players from all over, including some from the Big 3 Florida schools. He's taken Alabama to a Top 5 (some even say Top 3) recruiting power school in the nation in one year. Anyone who doubts his ability to recruit is fooling themselves.

He's struggled to win games his first year, but he'll pick up fast.

Les Miles to talk to Michigan about Head Coach position

Miles will wait until after SEC title game

Associated Press, Updated 12 hours ago

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Michigan officials asked for and received permission from LSU to meet with Les Miles about the Wolverines' head football coaching vacancy.

LSU athletic director Skip Bertman granted the request on condition that Michigan representatives wait until after Saturday's Southeastern Conference championship game in Atlanta before starting negotiations, LSU spokesman Herb Vincent said.
Vincent said Bertman and LSU chancellor Sean O'Keefe also plan to meet with Miles next week to discuss his contract.

"We're trying to get the SEC championship game behind us that's why we're scheduling these things for next week," Vincent said.

LSU was not prepared to make a statement about the extent to which the school was prepared to compete with Michigan's offer, should one be made, Vincent said.

"We're just looking forward to the game Saturday and that's the focus of the entire program right now, Saturday's game against Tennessee," Vincent said.

Miles, in his third season as LSU coach, went 11-2 his first two years. The Tigers are 10-2 this season and ranked fifth in The Associated Press poll.

Calls and e-mails seeking comment were left with Michigan athletic director Bill Martin on Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Martin, who has not commented on the search since Lloyd Carr's announcement, interviewed Michigan coordinators Ron English and Mike DeBord earlier this week.

"We're not going to make any comments on the search," Michigan spokesman Bruce Madej said Wednesday night.

Miles seems to have everything college football's winningest program is looking for, including ties to the school and the late-great coach Bo Schembechler.

He played at Michigan and was on the coaching staff in Ann Arbor, Mich., where he met his wife.

Last week, though, Miles pleaded with the media to let the topic rest.

Even though Miles appears in a great situation leading the Tigers in a talent-rich area without a competing school nearby, LSU was concerned enough about him bolting for Michigan that it put a specific clause in his contract to make it an expensive move.

In the "termination by coach" section of his deal, Michigan is the only other school mentioned. It states that Miles will not seek or accept employment as Michigan's coach. If Miles does leave LSU to coach the Wolverines, he must pay LSU $1.25 million.

Martin has said he is looking for the next Carr, who led Michigan to the 1997 national championship and five Big Ten titles while keeping the school above even suspicions about NCAA violations.

Michigan traditionally has gotten away with paying its football coach less than top of the market rates.

Martin acknowledged the school might have to offer a candidate up to $3 million a season or roughly twice as much as Carr earned annually.

After Carr announced his retirement, Martin said he did not expect it would be difficult to land a coach to lead what Carr told him is the best job in the country.

"Not only because it's Michigan, but because of the renovations we're doing to the Big House and also because we broke ground last Friday morning for our $28 million indoor practice facility," Martin said. "We'll have the finest facilities in the country. We also have patience to work with a coach as he transitions in."

Miles signs new deal with LSU
Posted by dtatum December 06, 2007 4:04PM
Categories: Breaking News
BATON ROUGE - Stamping out any lingering uncertainty about where he might work next year, LSU football coach Les Miles signed a new deal Thursday that will keep him in charge of the Tigers until 2012 or beyond.

The arrangement - actually an amendment to Miles' current contract - was approved unanimously by the university's Board of Supervisors and minutes later Miles and Chancellor Sean O'Keefe inked in an adjoining office.

"I signed it, absolutely, of course," Miles said.

"I've got it right here," O'Keefe said, holding the rolled up document aloft in his fist.

Despite Miles' repeated statements that he would remain at LSU, broadcast and published reports had continued to fuel speculation he might somehow bolt to Michigan, his alma mater and where he was the university's first choice to replace retired coach Lloyd Carr.

Some news outlets, particularly in Michigan, had denounced Miles for a brass capitalistic nature and jumped on allegations LSU had thrown buckets of new cash to keep him in Baton Rouge. In fact, as Miles and O'Keefe had insisted, Miles made the decision with his heart as the amendment does not include any change in the coach's compensation.

That said, Miles is still going to make a lot more cash. That's because a clause in his current and still extant contract stipulates LSU will make him, "no less than the third highest paid coach in the conference," if the Tigers win the Southeastern Conference championship. Miles accomplished that task last Saturday when No. 2 LSU (11-2, 7-2 SEC) beat Tennessee in Atlanta.

Plus, when LSU was chosen to play No. 1 Ohio State (11-1) in the national championship game in New Orleans, that triggered an additional $175,000 bonus for Miles on top of salary.

"I appreciate this contract very much," Miles said, addressing the board. "I look forward to many years as LSU's coach."

Immediately after signing the deal Miles bolted for the airport on a recruiting trip. His attention now is devoted to beating the Buckeyes, he said.

"If we win the national championship game and then they fired me, I'd still have that forever," he said.

Patrick Johnson commits to LSU

SAN ANTONIO - The roller-coaster recruiting saga of five-star cornerback Patrick Johnson is over.

The Pompano Beach (Fla.) Ely product announced his choice from his three finalists of LSU, Florida and Florida State live during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio on Saturday.

"My decision is that I want to spend my next couple years at LSU," Johnson said. "I feel comfortable with (LSU coach) Les Miles."

The former Miami commit made news earlier in the week when he announced that he had eliminated the Hurricanes from consideration.

Johnson won't have to wait long to start his college career since he is a mid-term graduate and plans to enroll at LSU on Monday, January 14.

Johnson is rated as the nation's No. 1 cornerback prospect and No. 3 overall by Rivals.com.http://rivals100.rivals.com/content.asp?cid=758266

LSU picked up one of the nation's top athletic quarterbacks Monday evening when Russell Shepard of Houston-Cypress Ridge gave Les Miles his verbal commitment.

"I committed about ten minutes ago," Sheppard said. "I love the school to the max."

Shepard (6-2, 185, 4.4) is being recruited by LSU running backs coach Larry Porter.

"It wasn't a tough decision," Shepard said. "The way I looked at it is why wait if I know where I am going to go.

"It was a hands down easy decision for me."

Shepard says that Miles was taken aback by his commitment.

"They are excited and I just wanted to get it over with because this was getting hectic," Shepard said. "I wanted to be able to focus on my team this year and when I get to LSU focus on LSU."

"Coach Miles said, what, what did you say," Shepard said imitating Miles' reaction. "His whole family was happy about it and I talked to all of them."

Shepard is currently rated as the nation's No. 4 overall prospect. He finished his junior season with 2,300 yards of total offense and 26 touchdowns.

The Texas blue-chipper is a mid-term graduate and will be able to participate in spring camp of 2009.

LSU may have problems with signing all the talent they have waiting for next year alone. Sheppard (Texas kid) is the #2 QB in the country for next year, and that was a reall shocker that LSU will get him. It's going to be tough because the state of LA is loaded next year.

I just hope LSU has enough scholarships to give to get them all signed. I would hate to see solid in-state talent leave.

PrimusPilus
03-05-2008, 04:01 PM
Would have to agree, I would like all the in state talent to stay and keep the fence up around the state. But I don't think we'll ever regress to the days when the top talent in the state chose out out of state schools over LSU.

LSU Pro Day Numbers

- DL Glenn Dorsey (6-1 ?, 297): Ran the 40 in 5.13 and 5.12, had a 25 ?-inch vertical jump, 8-foot, 4-inch long jump, 4.80 short shuttle, 7.52 cone drill, and ran position drills. Scouts like his long arms, which measured 35 ? inches. Former NFL player Tim Krumrie ran the workout and he has a reputation of running lineman pretty hard? but he couldn't break Dorsey, who looked very good.

- WR Early Doucet (6-0, 203): Ran the 40 in 4.59, 4.64 and 4.69, had a 34 ?-inch vertical jump, 7.34 cone drill, ran position drills and kept everything else from the combine. Had a very good workout.

- LB Arlington Highsmith (6-0, 221): Ran the 40 in 4.87, 4.72 and 4.70, had a 29-inch vertical jump, 23 reps in the bench press, ran position drills and kept everything else from the combine.

- QB Matt Flynn (6-2, 229): Kept all numbers from the combine, ran position drills and looked very good throwing the ball.

- RB Jacob Hester (5-11 1/8, 225): Had a 29-inch vertical jump, ran position drills and kept everything else from the combine. Caught the ball well in workouts.

- DB Jonathan Zenon (5-11 ?,, 185): Ran the 40 in 4.62 and 4.54, had a 37-inch vertical jump, ran position drills and kept everything else from the combine (but he did not do the bench press in Indianapolis due to an injury.)

- S Craig Steltz (6-1 3/8, 210): Had a 35-inch vertical jump. Had 10 reps in the bench press and could have done more but he injured his right shoulder. He did not work out at the combine, so there are no other numbers for him.

- CB Chevis Jackson (6-0 1/8, 192): Ran the 40 in 4.57 and 4.58, had a 40-inch vertical jump, ran position drills and kept everything else from the combine.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Damn, Chevis jumped 40 inches...that's fukking awesome. He'd be a perfect mid-round pickup for my Falcons.

That's saying a lot. I remember watching Cecil split carries with Kevin Faulk and Rondell Meally, lose his shoe twice while running, and still run for around 235 yards against Auburn. If he would have stayed straight, he could have easily had a few 300+ games in his career.

I agree it's saying alot and 'is just like' is probably a bit overboard. I'm not saying he's as good as Collins.. but he runs very similar. He [Cecil] was averaging something like 150 yards per game before he got hurt.

There was a locker in the back, near all the blue-chip freshman. It was #42 with a piece of tape over the name. It read Hershel Walker (yes, I know it was misspelled). Now I know a freshman couldn't give himself any nickname, especially that one. This freshman benched 425, squatted over 500 and runs a 4.4 and was listed as weighing 210+.

What an incredible compliment. I watched him in person run for 300+ in the playoffs (in crazy cold temperatures too). I can't wait to see Ford in action again.

Looked so good against O. Looked good enough against MST last night. Jarred Lee is looking really good at QB, much due to the addition of Kragthorpe on the staff and a new play caller. We are currently 18th yes. Our team is now coached by offensive genius Dana Holgerson. We pass the ball a lot. Our running game has been somewhat lacking this year so far but we still try to do it. Defensively we are pretty solid.
