Thanks Scott, I appreciate your comment. I like my routine a lot, but squats+power cleans+bench twice + deadlifts in 4 days is taxing on the body so I'm glad with the PRs, I really am.

After burning out my legs walking in 3 feet of snow, I got to the gym, was sore even more, strained my left traps doing power cleans, puked 2 times, came back home, pushed 3 cars stucked in snow, then got stuck outside my apartment because my door was covered with snow and ice.

Other than that, I'm doing good ;)

I didn't lift today, but its probably a good rest day. I'll hit legs tomorrow night. I have some good soreness in my chest and back today, so letting myself recover will probably do some good.

I did process a deer tonight that my brother-in-law got over the weekend. I have about 20 lbs of deer steaks and 40 lbs of lean meat for grinding. That should help out when I start to cut. Deer steaks for dinner tomorrow night.

Good stuff going on in here from both of you!

I have a question for you hl. I just ordered some captains of crush grippers, the trainer and the #1.

How do I go about incoporating that into my workouts? Any advice would be great!

Cool. I do my grip training 1 to 2 times a week. Never right before a workout. Often, I will do grip only training on lifting rest days. Seems to work pretty well. Sometimes I'll work grip right after arms too.

Tonight I'll do some light leg work again. I'll try some Leverage Squats and see how I feel. Probably do some GHR's, lunges, and some SLDL's.

I'm taking the day off of work tomorrow to take my mom to see Phantom of the Opera. This is her Christmas present. I hope she enjoys it. It is quite the production. I think she is looking forward to it.

I'll work out tomorrow night when I get home. I'm not sure if I'll do an arms or shoulder workout yet. I've done shoulders before arms for a while, might be a good time to switch those workouts around.

Shoveled snow for an hour this morning...my right shoulder is messed up. I'll lift arms tonight and see how it goes. I might take a few days off to let my shoulder heal up. I've got my lifting in for the week, so it isn't a big deal. I might have to keep my weights light again for a while, but the deload might be a good thing.

I did something to it before. It isn't in the joint, but on top...Where a tendon attaches maybe. It is actually sore to touch.

I got extra credit in an art appreciation course in college...and the tickets were free. Phantom of the Opera is quite a production and I'd recommend it to anyone. If you've never seen it...try to. And now that I've taken my mom to see it...I'm the good son.

Ice up that shoulder Homie - I know it sounds old school and pointless, but ice works wonders on inflammation and especially on shoulders. 15 minutes on and 15 minutes off for one hour tonight and tomorrow for an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening if you have time.

Still have some pain...but it isn't in the joint, it is on top. I still think it is where a tendon attaches.

Getting ready for arms in about half an hour. I'm going to do a short workout to see how I feel. If everything feels good, I'll do more. If not...I'll just try to get a good pump and call it a night. I'll get a ziplock bag of snow and ice my shoulder for a while when I'm done.

My shoulder hurt on dips, but I was able to really focus on hitting triceps and take shoulders and chest out of the equation...dips like a piston.

Thanks Mango. I've worked hard to get my triceps strength up, and I'm happy with my progress. Yes, I iced with snow.


How'd that snow work out?

It worked OK, but my shoulder is sore this morning. I'll take tonight off, ice, and do some shoulder work on Saturday.

HL, do you stick with the leverage squat or do you do bar squats also ?

I have had to give up bar squats because my knee tendonitis makes it difficult to balance and hold form. Thinking a leverage squat machine might make a difference.

That was a really weird workout... Felt explosive, but weak like sh*t on the power cleans, but really strong on the bench press. Then the curls felt weak, then the dip machine was broken, I thought I wouldn't be ablt to dip at 150 lbs loll but I went there and got the dips in :)

Anyway, I'm glad it's done ! PWO meal : 2 cans of tuna with mustard and a banana on the side.

Well, my shoulder is worse than I initially thought. I took my kids bowling yesterday and knew I was in trouble after the first ball. I'm taking advil and putting ice on it, but I don't know how long it is going to take to heal. I wish I knew what I did.

I will still lift legs and whatever else I can untill it heals. I hate injuries.

Well, I did it. Hurt myself pretty bad. Moved a huge dresser for my mom and I had everything under controll...untill she grabbed one end without telling me. It threw me off balance enough to tear something, or retear something in my back. I won't touch a weight for a while now. I'm so F'n pissed.

Sometimes, you care about a person so much, when they do stupid things, you just wanna slap them. :p You dink, why the f were you bowling and lifting furniture when your shoulder injury was waiting for you to piss it off!! Gr!! Watch how much advil you're taking, eh?? Extended consumption of advil can lead to tricky problems....if you don't go see a doctor, I'd really urge you to see a physio, or at least let a chiro or massage therapist take a look??

I'd be effing pissed, as well. But you're a strong man, you will be fine.

Every time I moved last night, my back woke me up. It was a long night. I'm going to go to the gym tomorrow through the rest of the week and do some cardio. I'll pack my gym clothes and take them with me in the morning.

I guess on a good note, my back will force me to rest my shoulder.

Wow Val! Your bench and squats are really coming along. You seem to really be increasing right now. With all of your studying, I'm sure seeing these kinds of increases in the gym feels very good.

It felt great, especially considering only had two cookies and a coffee, studied 3 hours at the library, then went to the gym, had my Shock Therapy... I was feeling really dizzy after the reverse hypers lollll

I had a spotter on the bench but it went really fine, even with my chest being sore from Saturday night's workout. Really happy with it.

Met a PL woman that someone recommended to me. She's gonna give me all her used gear, that is soooooooooo cool ! A really nice 52-y/o woman who bench over 100kg omg omg omg

Just sitting here watching TV. Enjoying a cup of tea. Bored really. I hate watching TV.

No legs either...hurt my back yesterday. I'm not going to be able to lift for a while I think. I might be able to do things like leg extension, leg curls...but nothing where I put weight on my back.

I am rather frustrated. I was making great gains...
