I wasn't going to start a journal because I'm pretty new hear, but what the heck!! Most of my life I have been pretty much into fitness, but never this much. I guess that I just want my body to look better and I want to be stronger. During High School I was in cross country and track, but wasn't that fast of a runner. Probably becase I didn't know how to breathe and when you have no control of your breathing it gives you an uncomfortable feeling....well, it did to me anyways. After high school I joined the Navy and have been in for 3 years now. I was one of the fastest girl runners here just last year but I've slacked and not ran as much so my time had decreased a min. My srength really hasn't improved that much the last two years, and I haven't toned that much at all. I lost about 15lbs early last year, but know it's back on.....what a waste of time that was. I practically beat myself to death over that (well, not really). I thought that running was the key to fitness, so I would run at least 3 miles everyother day and in between I would get on the eliptical trainer for 30 mins. Somedays I would even run 3-4 miles and get on the eliptical trainer right after running. Then of course I would lift.
Currently I run for like 15mins, get on the stair climber for 10 or so and then lift. I haven't really changed my diet at all. I eat out quite a lot and I just really don't know what to eat to change my fitness.....
I have no idea where to start on any of this....I don't know if I should take supplements....or anything. My goal is not to be a body builder. I just want to loose fat, build muscle and get stronger, oh and throw cardiovascular fitness in there some where as well.
My current stats are I'm 5'6" weigh 138-140 and believe my current bodyfat is either 21or20%. I definately want to loose some of this fat and build more muscle. Please Help!!
