So this is the NE Patriots thread
this is where I will rave and rant on a weekly basis on the Patriots and their quest to add 1 more to the Brady Belichick Dynasty

All love or hate is welcomed, regardless I'll still be posting

so yea the start of the season....i was so ampted for todays game that i almost forgot about the Red Sox taking on the Orioles....

What can i say abouts todays game? great win...38 points and we shoulda had 41 if not for the botched FG attempt.....i didnt like that one drive the Jets had where Coles ended up with the TD past Colvin
Jones wasnt going nowhere today...Pats D had him on lock early!

The offense....Brady 3Tds 0Ints.....Moss with a crazy 189 or some**** with a TD....i think stallworth only got thrown 2 twice and Wes Welker looks like hes gonna help this team alot unless he keeps dropping 3rd down conversions like he did today...
Maroney and Morris did alrite although we are going to miss Corey Dillons ability to scored TDs in the redzone....that ****s invalueable......great win....nothing more I can say....i actually wanted to win 42-9 and 1 up the Colts on their victory...but whatever....cant wait to see SanDiego next.....this game is gonna be nuts....SanDiego hates us

Moss is sick. I love seeing him back on his A game because I remember watching him play at Marshall and I've always been a fan of the guy.

Pats Suspected of Spying On Jets

NFL security confiscated a video camera and its tape from a New England Patriots employee on the team's sideline during Sunday's game against the Jets in a suspected spying incident, sources said.

The camera and its tape were placed in a sealed box and forwarded to the league office for investigation, the sources said.

"We don't have any comment," an NFL spokesman said Monday.

The Patriots' cameraman was suspected of aiming his camera at the Jets' defensive coaches who were sending signals to their unit on the field, the sources said. The league also is investigating some radio frequency issues that occurred during the game.

The league's competition committee could conduct a conference call about the incident, which violates NFL policy, and ultimately recommend a penalty that could cost the Patriots a future draft pick or picks if it verifies that the team was spying on the Jets.

It's not their first time.
-- A member of the NFL's competition committee

"It's not their first time," a member of the committee, who did not wish to be identified, said.

In fact, Green Bay Packers president Bob Harlan confirmed a similar incident that occurred when the Patriots played at Lambeau Field last Nov. 19. The same cameraman who was questioned by NFL security on Sunday was also the one whom the Packers removed from the sideline and escorted from the field during their 2006 game, according to Packers security official Doug Collins.

"From what I can remember, he had quite a fit when we took him out," Harlan said. "We had gotten word before the game that they [the Patriots] did this sort of thing, so we were looking for it."

A Jets official declined comment Monday, directing an inquiry to the league office. The Patriots also did not have immediate comment.

whatever i dont care, its my team and we do gangsta **** like that especially when mangini stabbed us in the back and just recently picked up reche caldwell to get him to tell us some Patriot secrets

we got hit hard today

belichick 500,000 bucks less in his account
the team 250,000 less money
and more importantly they lose a 1st rd draft pick next year

the penalty was a little stiff but the only reason it was is cuz he disciplined alot of players hard this summer and if he goes easy on the Pats he'll (Goddell)lose his image, so this is what the Pats got
had this summer not been so crazy the Pats would barely been penalized

oh well.....i cant wait for the Chargers on Sunday NIte.....i think its at foxboro but im not sure

pats vs chargers, will be good game

I think NE will win, 31-24

Negatron617
09-13-2007, 08:15 PM
why would the chargers win?
it could go either way but if there is a favorite it should be the Pats who greatly improve their team from last year that beat SD at home

because last year the pats got lucky on some fluke plays and everyone knows it....plus...we got jammer!!!!!!!! (no serious about jammer)

That barely qualifies as a "punishment". 500k from Belicheat and 250K from the team, these fines are a JOKE. What is 250K to any pro sports team, let alone a 3 time SB Champions. The commissioner dropped the soap on this issue. A NFL player get a strict punishment and suspensions but the management gets away with a 250K fine?

And why would you ever fine a team, they will simply make up for amount lost due to fines via raise in ticket prices. If they wanted to penalize "the team" they should have severely restricted their cap room or draft picks (loss of both 1st rounds); this will have more impact on the management and coaches than an idiotic 250K fine.

---------------
I am picking NE to win, Randy Moss is back to his freakish self.

its not that serious of an offense

you guys seem to think that the only reason the Pats won is because of stolen signals
they couldnt use the signals until the second half where they can match up the signal with the defense the Jets called

the offense was nothing....people have pics and video and audio of everything in the NFL....the only reason there were even fines and draft picks taken is cuz he has to unhold the image of a tough commissioner but what the Pats did was nothing....everybody needs to stop being so emo

Truth is, you have no idea how it helped them, and neither does anyone else.

So too act as if it didn't help them is a complete joke. It obviously helps them or else they wouldn't do it.

cheating of any kind should be dealt with harshly. How better to learn a lesson by losing your #1 draft pick.

...or 2 and 3 if they don't make it to the playoffs...but seeing as they know what other teams plays are, that shouldn't be too hard.

Attempting to identify other teams signals isnt uncommon in the NFL but the Pats just had to take it a step further and bring in their own recorders. I've even read the Eagles are now looking into their SB loss and wondering if they cheated then.

Jim Johnson had the Patriots puzzled beyond belief in the first half, second half where Johnson excelled all year at making adjustments at the half looked completely clueless in the second half and could do nothing to stop the Pats. It's worth a look IMO, who knows for sure? just the Patriots.

Just as I suspected, every team that has lost to the Patriots in the past 5 years is now going to bitch about getting screwed.

There is a good article on msn.com about this -- that the main difference between the Patriots and every other team is that the Patriots got caught. That doesn't make it right, but it does put things in perspective.

okay i know you have a thread Deviant but youre not posting in it enough

so yea....pats are now 3-0
they have scored 38 in every game and have only given up 24 total points i believe

the last 2 games have also been blowouts without the use of cameras
so now that all that cheating bull**** is out the way we can concentrate on trying to do undefeated

im glad we had 175 yards rushing yesterday
i been worried we are too one sided.....i would like us to use the running game a bit more earlier in the game
moss and welker have been ****ting on kids, stallworth barely even has any receptions
when teams try to stop welker and moss all of a sudden we'll see stallworth having 100 yd games

we have been doing this without richard seymour and rodney harrison which makes me feel very good

next up i believe is cincinati who hasnt been able to stop anybody on D so i dont think they'll be able to stop us
i dont want it to turn into a shootout tho....i rather we play good defense on them and allow no more than 14 points

the chargers really struggling....yes we manhandled them but i didnt think the packers would beat em....oh well

i dont wanna get too excited but i think that if we can beat Indy we have a good chance of going undefeated.....but we need some luck to do that and belichick cant rest players and lose games towards the end of the season
but damn.....38 points in the 1st 3 games.....and we missed 3 FGs so we would have had 41 pts in our first 2 games

but yea....im feeling good

4-0

4 unbeaten teamsn left

Pats beat Cincy 34-13 at Cincy
i think it was the Pats smallest margin or victory this year
seriously tho, Cincy played well, they pressured Brady and contained the run, thats why we only scored 17
the Pats didnt play great in the first half
Cincy had a chance to get that TD late and make it 17-14 and would get the ball to begin the second half
that Samuel pick was the game right there
after the Pats scored another to make it 24-7 it was pretty much on cruise control there
so yea....we needa improve on that
and i do believe ya boy Rodney Harrison has served his 4 game suspension and Seymour is only a couple games away from returning

team looks unbeatable right now, brady to moss FTW

No one thought Moss would be good still. I knew he'd be good again with the pats. He's tearing it up again. It's about time the pats got a marquee wideout. I got them both on my fantasy team and I like the pats am 4 and 0.

Negatron617
10-02-2007, 11:26 AM
you know what tho, i dont think moss is nearly as good as he was before
he is still fast, can jump, can catch, great routes, but one on one against a CB he either just falls to the ground or he gets tackled. i havent seen him put on good juke move to get away from the initial defender right in front of him
he is like marvin harrison.....he runs nasty routes and acthes everything, but dont expdct him to break any tackles and ****
he is still a great weapon tho, but i do think he was much better, which is scary to think about

Yeah that's true, but if it was 3rd and 5 yards for the last play in the game, who would you rather have more than a Moss + Brady combo?

Negatron617
10-03-2007, 09:49 PM
rodney harrison is def eligible to return for the Patriots and has practiced this week
it hasnt been said whether he'll play on sunday, but he probably will, he just wont start
he brings alot of intensity and hardhitting to the secondary which not too many teams have

Negatron617

tomorrow we take on browns....we should win this game no matter what but i dont want it to turn into a shoot out

i predict a 35-17 win....hopefully the browns dont score in double digits
idont know if rodney harrison will be starting or not
