I tried searching, and couldnt find anything about this, so Im gonna ask.....
I am using x-factor aright now, and have discontinued use of anti inflamitories as has been suggested, and I need to find a good joint support supp.
I have been taking Glucosamine w/ chondroitin nd msm, but when I bought it (I got it locally cause it was cheap) the guy told me that msm is an anti inflamitory, so I stopped using it upon starting x factor. But I did some reading on msm and it states nothing about that.
If anyone could inform me on if its chill to take the stuff I have now w/ xfactor, and if not what would be a good replacement while im on arachidonic acid.
thanks

I thought MSM was needed to make collagen and connective tissue ( maybe the guy didn't know what he was talking about).
Well I take a plain Gluc/chondro supplement and it works perfect. I used to take one with Gluc/chondro/msm/vit C/B 5/ and some other BS. I didnt want the anti inflammatories either so I switched to plain gluco/chondro and it works just fine for me.
I don't know anything about x factor but i hope this helps.

Nice.....thanks man.....
I just found another write up on msm, and it mentioned something about msm reducing inflamation, so Im going to go your route and just get some gluc./chon.
But one more question....And this may be dumb, but vitamin c doesnt have anti inflamitory properties, does it????

If you're talking really technical it might, I'm not sure. Seems like vit C does everything nowadays. Maybe you can search for some more adequate info.
All I've heard is that it's an antioxidant- not sure if that includes anti-inflamitories.

You might want to ask w_llewellyn about this.

All antioxidants can reduce inflammation though.

I don't understand why you wouldn't want to take msm because of its anti-inflammatory abilities. Arthritis or most joint pains are caused by inflammation and gluc/chon eventually overtime fight the inflammation and rebuild the joint. I can understand not wanting to take advil or other pain killers but msm is different and natural.

Well I do normally take it.....but right now I am taking a new product called x-factor (Arachidonic acid), an EFA which is an inflamitory, and taking anti inflamitories can hinder its performance....so I am trying to eliminate them from my diet during my x-factor "cycle".
