I just wanted to know if this has ever happened to anyone b4. I was on my last set of legextensions and was doing a dropset. I started from 200lbs(ay...thaz really heavy for me) and went to 175, 150, 125 etc. until the 50's. I really pushed myself and after the set when resting...i begin to get these shhharp pains in my head. Being the bad ass-tough guy I am(ahem!) i continue with my workout. What scares me though is the next day doing flat dumbell presses.....everytime I begin to..strain...the pain comes back.....even when I was doing barbell curls.....it feels as if...blood is just rushing to the center of my head..and just basically a really bad headache.Could this just be a case of too much..idunno...strain?..or could something really be wrong?
Thanx in advance for the help guys.

If you're a guy....why are you posting in the female bodybuilding section.....or were you just saying "tough guy" as a general statement? either way i've never had this happen to me. my headaches come from other sources outside of lifting. maybe you should start out slow and build up rather than overexerting yourself right off the bat....you're gonna get hurt. another factor which might be causing this reaction, is the manner of your breathing. if you're not properly breathing, you're increasing strain and tension in your head. haven't you ever seen those competitions on tv where the bodybuilder's face turns red and his veins pop out of his head...its a similar instance. they aren't breathing at that particular moment and they're adding strain at the same time. practice your breathing techniques first with lighter weight...then move up when you stop getting these pains. gradual progression, and practice of proper breathing techniques will ensure maximum results without compromising safety.
