View Full Version : ECY in Iraq -- dangerous?

Okay, so I was kicking around the idea of trying Krys's homemade ECY stack. I'd like a fat burner that will be effective, and a lot of people have had luck with these.

However, my concern is using ephedrine HCl when it's going to be 130 degrees outside. Should I stick with ephedra free fat burners like TIGHT until I get back to the states? I don't want to melt my brain or have my heart explode in my chest like an apple. I remember back when I used Hydroxycut (when it still had ephedra in it) I occasionally experienced a very rapid heartbeat and the shakes.

This is probably an insanely idiotic question, but I had to ask. :-)

I personally wouldn't take those while in extreme heat. I believe your body has a hard enough time dealing with those extreme temperatures.

It's actually a very good question. Are you from there or are you military??

Thanks for replying.

I kind of figured the heat would be hard enough to deal with on its own, but I thought I would ask. It might apply to people in hot places in the states during the summer. If it gets people thinking, it's probably not a dumb question after all. :-p

I'm in the Army. 3rd Infantry Division out of Fort Stewart, Ga. :-)

Good Luck
The reason I asked if you were in the military is that if you are exerting yourself intensly in the heat, and it sounds like you are outside all day, even if you are sitting there, I can't even imagine the stresss........your body has enough to deal with right now.

Take care and please be careful

I personally don't have a very physically demanding job -- I'm a platoon leader for a chemical platoon. We don't do a lot that is really physical -- the hardest thing we do is stand up in flak vests for 8 hours when on guard duty, but that's only for a week out of a every month.

Our training can be strenuous though, because we have to wear chemical protective suits (ever seen outbreak?) for our missions -- these huge blue plastic dealies with heavy oxygen tanks for breathing. THAT will wipe you out in a hurry.

Thanks for the info, you confirmed what I'd already been thinking. I'm just glad I wasn't coming totally out of left field. :-)

I think you are right, P.
I have nothing against ephedra personally for someone with no cardiovascular problems, but no point in risking it under your circumstances~just focus on keeping your head low!
Plenty of time to try out ECY when you are home safe and sound

Gabrielle,

Oh I know! I have PLENTY of time, but so little patience! I want results NOW. :-) Haha...guess I'm just going to have to get them the old fashioned way.

From what all the guys are telling me who've been here before though, I'm going to start losing weight in a big hurry as soon as the temps spike over 100...so I'll probably be on this board in a few weeks complaining that I'm losing too much mass!

We're our own worst critics, hmm? :-p

have a great one,
