He's great, but I wouldn't bet very much money on him being clean.

I would.

I think the use of steroids is A LOT more popular among BBers. But that's besides the point. I think strength is a lot more easily acquired than muscle mass so there are probably more people at the top that don't do them. (Hence why all or almost all in the IFBB are on them.) Just my opinion though.

I highly, highly doubt the strongest person on the planet doesn't take steroids.

Don't get me wrong, it's definitely a big possibility. But you never know. (Unless they come out and say it of course.) I just choose not to automatically doubt them and assume they do roids just because they happen to be bigger, faster, or stronger than me. Those "Oh my gosh, he's actually stronger than me, therefore he does roids!" guys are really annoying in my opinion. I haven't seen a video of him saying he does them, so I won't assume. (Or his doctor, etc. saying so.)

Besides, we all know that when you assume things, you only make an ___ out of you. ;)

You don't know what you're talking about. 9 out of 11 members of the Iranian team were busted for doping at last year's worlds. That was just one of the larger hauls out of the dozens of busts that happen every year. I'd say that steroid use is pretty "popular" among weightlifters.

Okay, I don't know what I'm talking about then. I'm not going to argue with some tard who cares way too much about a stupid subject over the internet. Just because it's popular doesn't mean everyone does it. Which was my point, by the way. But apparently you, Mr. Omniscience, didn't get that.

On another note, when did I say it wasn't popular among weightlifters? I just said it's more popular with BBers. But all that's besides the point.

There's nothing wrong with taking steroids...it allows them to push the limits of the human body to unseen levels.

his genetics, god damn it as americans we're very ignorant that maybe other people dont use steroids. just cuz as white people some of are genetics are terrible, we think that other people have to be on steroids to have such a lift! when u look at black athletes, they're faster, stronger, and better than white athletes. And iranians are known for their powerlifting. Also, that is true 9 of 11 members of the Iranian Powerlifting team were banned, but Rezazadeh was one of the 2 of 11 that wasnt banned from competition.

and god damn it I like to see some ****ing proof that he uses steroids, rather than ignorant mother****ers claiming he uses it steroids, where the **** is the proof!

Yeah, I don't approve of that statement either. It's a bunch of bullcrap. You can't generalize a race. Every person on this planet has different genetic phenotypes so every person on this planet will be able to do certain things better than other people. The only time people need to say things like any one race is better than another at one thing is when they get beat by someone of that race and they want to justify it by saying that had a natural born advantage, which is obviously just a bunch of dooky.

If you think guys at the top of strength sports don't use steroids then you probably believe politicians don't lie.

Passing a drug test does not mean that the athlete doesn't use. Just that he's not on at the moment.

.

HAHAHAHA I love it!!...Thats a great one! lol...I really did love it!

lol

Anyways...I've talked to some olympic competitors (obv not going 2 mention names)...but drug use is pretty rampant from the stories I've heard...

And lets not forget that a lot of those drug tests dont catch all those "designer" drugs that the OLY ppl are using....

I will say this, a lot of the guys who fall out of top 10 are NOT using...And those lifters are still cleaning 500ish pounds...so for guys who are prolly still natural, its DAMN impressive

ehlpitel
09-09-2007, 03:51 PM
Jesus, even tennis players dope, amongst Olympic wieghtlifters, doping is definitely rampant.

Some steriods stay in your system longer than others.

I think at that level of competition, it is highly unlikely that a lot of people are clean.

I personally think steroid use for athletes is more or less ok, as long as a lot of the competition is using them as well.

Well I know for a fact MOST NFL players are clean...

But I guess you doubt that too bc they are soooo much bigger faster and stronger than you....

COULDNT BE THEY JUST HAVE SICK ASS GENETICS AND YOU JUST CANT RELATE TO HOW THEIR BODIES OPERATE AND RESPOND TO TRAINING/STIMULUS CAN IT?

Naw bc out of 290 million people there arent say 1000 who just afreeaskishly gifted physically.

He doesn't. It's just easier to be an idiot and make blanket statements than take things into consideration and risk having your NFL heroes actually on steroids.

He's the same retard who judges your strength and athleticism by how high you can jump.

and this is the worst thing about being australian.

Im tested so often that I refuse to be in the same room as someone having a joint.

So here I am, a clea athlete till retire, and I goig to be up against 10 roided up Iranis and russians who use drugs and get away with it/

Im all for steroids, but as long as everyone can use, this is ****ing bull**** because I cant hold at the international level because they can use.

Hey, the kid has goals. Don't discourage him.

I didn't see anyone discourage anyone.

I don't think anyone on this board really has cause for concern about whether the top lifters on the planet are clean. It'll likely be at least a couple years before anyone here is:

goig to be up against 10 roided up Iranis and russians who use drugs and get away with it/

I would say it's more important to focus on improving our own lifts now, and leave concern for the doping issues at the international level until a little later.
